See, im not sure i agree with that. McGhee finally found a team and a system, might as well keep them on the park as long as possible, build the confidence and let them play. What if he brings on a couple of ringers, it messes the system, we let in a couple and the confidence takes a big dent. I think on this occassion he did the right thing. Once we have put a few wins together and the team are going well, then yes, bring the boys in at the appropriate times. Today, keep them on the field and build that confidence and understanding.

Great reaction, great performance, great 3 points. Ok the opposition were not the best but we were head and shoulders above where we have been all season. Hate to say it, but we seemed better without Lasley in the middle. Lionel, yes he can be hit or miss but really grabbed his chance today even though he was playing on the left. Hopefully he keeps it up. Cadden was again very impressive. Lucas looks a player, and young mcmillan did well again. Moult and Skippy got to work through the middle without having to worry about going wide to accomodate Bowman. All very good. Barring injuries, McGhee really needs to start that team next week. *I wont complain if he changes the keeper.

Keeper aside the line up doesn't look too bad. Cadden gets a chance to make centre mid his own. Best two strikers at the club playing. Lionel getting his shot too. He really needs to step up and grab this chance. Thought we looked better once he came on on Wed, ok its not hard to get better than shite. Good to see mcmillan keep his spot.

Is this a thing? I've not spent much time on Steelmenonline this season so this is first I'm reading it. If that is in anyway, shape or form true then he really needs hunted. And I say that as someone who usually supports McGhee.

Hutchy is easily better than any central defender we have at the moment. Yes, he had his moments of crazyness, but I would have him in before any of our current defenders. Doubt we can afford him though.

Im a big Ainsworth fan, but it looks to me that McGhee is trying to get him to work as part of this fluid front three and maybe Lionel just isn't cut out for it. My view is that unless we are going to stick him on the right wing and play balls infront of him, then really, theres no point in bringing him on. Saying that, even when it looks as though he's not doing much, more often than not he still is the guy who provides the assist, whether from a cross or a corner.

I did notice the lack of Willie Miller post match and thought it was amusing. Usually on my drive home there is at least 15 minutes of Miller dribbling away about Aberdeen. Saturday night it was lucky if it was two minutes!
