Plenty of 'well young players i thought would push on to bigger and better things, but Slane is the one i thought was going to be real top class level. The way he broke through andvthe way he could skin players seemingly with his head down i honestly expected to see him playing for a BIG english team.i've not been as impressed/ excited by a 'well prospect since Faddy
-
He didnt, but i believe he's got the full toolkit with him this season. Scoring goals for fun
-
One thing that might not sit well on here, I actually thought Josh Law had a decent game on Saturday. Certainly far from the worst of performers.........
-
Im just pointing out that he's less shite than all of our options since Higgy left
-
Given he was our top scorer the last few seasons, he was obviously less shite than the rest of our options during that time.

Im not too sure. Did Lasley get much game time under McGhee in his first spell? Phil, Hughes, Klimpl, Boab etc all played a fair bit. I cant remember Las being an ever present but maybe im wrong. Also heard mcghee's interview where he was full of praise for Laing and reckons there is a midfielder there. Could the writing be on the wall for the skipper? Hope not because he could actually play well at the back of a three man midfield with Pearo and Grimshaw.

I knew this was an early KO but wasnt paying too much attention. Presumed 12.30 or 12.45 but 12.00?? What the fucks going on? On topic, lets get right into them!
-
With each other? McGhee was away home. What would be the point in them coming in to blether to the same guys they see every other day of the week?
-
I'm pretty sure you are correct. I seem to remember we effectively doubled his salary, partly to keep him and partly in reward for the sterling work he had done that season. I don't think that it's fair to blame McGhee for that though. Basically he got better at his job and could command a higher salary. It works the same in every industry.

To be fair, they probably think it strange that some 'well fans complain about them adding colour to the games. For what its worth, whenever im at an away game and the conductor is facing the crowd, i quite enjoy it. Usually more interesting than whats on the pitch. I think its fair enough to moan at the bois when they pull out the flares, but to pass comment for not watching the game???? Come on man

See if we start barracloughs record rolling at 1st Feb, giving him Jan to get his signings in, i dont think mcnamaras record is much/any better in the same spell
-
Mcnamara had a clause that he got a cut from player sales. One of the reasons their fans were wanting him punted
-
Are they not both banned? Regardless, Gilmour mentioned previous fixtures at Accies. The last one i was at (not last week) had a real flare.
-
It will split the support, but i would take Malky McKay if he was available - provided he has accepted he was wrong AND ALL of our players could accept him.

He's got his job at BT. It must pay a pretty penny given it was enough to bring him to the table to end his gardening leave.

That article was written by someone/anyone who listened to sportsound tonight. The quotes are directly from it.

He's also a friend of the show and one of their regular panelists

Youv got to think that if this is a concern, its something Craigan wouldn't tolerate, although was he complicit in it under Gannon or harshly axed?

I’ve missed a few games this season for one reason or another so haven’t commented too much on the style of play as you can’t judge it from highlights, however I have been reading the comments here and getting reports from those at the games and it is a worry. I was in the give the guy more time to turn it around camp. He spoke a good game and if he could put into practice what he preached (modern, pressing football) then it would be all good. However, as time goes on it becomes obvious that he can’t do it for one reason or another. Sadly, I was told by someone ‘inside football’ when Barraclough was appointed that he was a really nice guy, had great knowledge of the game but my contact didn’t believe he had what it takes to be a manager. This seems to have played out as far as I’m concerned. Hopefully we can just get it over and done with and not drag this out any longer. We definitely have players there who are capable of a mid table finish. A bit of belief and properly sent out we should not be anywhere near last seasons predicament. Cut the guy loose now, get someone in to rescue the season. I do have two concerns though: - All the investment behind the scenes – are these Barracloughs guys? Will they be able to continue in the job without the manager who brought them in or do we have to pay to punt them as well? If so, then it probably hinders the decision to sack him. - The rumours of players not towing the line and being unhappy behind the scenes. Fighting in the dressing room, spilling the beans on what happens at game prep etc etc. This all happened with Gannon and while he was a mental case, it would appear that we have an issue with players believing they are bigger than the manager – regardless of whoever that happens to be. That sort of behaviour really needs to be stamped out.

And when accies regularly beat you
-
See that in itself is worrying, if team talks are getting discussed outwith then there is disharmony in the dressing room. Are you getting this from players directly (no names required) or have you heard from people who have heard...? The former is more worrying than the later

Last season I was constantly optimistic that we were about to turn the corner, this season....... so far not so much. As for the game, being on a plastic pitch I don't see too much of an advantage playing big strapping solid players. Pace is a real weapon on that pitch and we have it in spades. Get Lionel and Johnson into them from the start. If the new striker is any good, then start him as well. As much as it pains it to say, we probably need to set up defensively and look to use the pace assets to pick Accies off on the break!

Its probably been done to death in this thread and i haven't paid attention. Regular income? So the initial principle of the society being a buffer/home made over draft facility has now been abandoned?
-
This dd deal. Is it £10 a month until you hit the £300 or are they expecting punters to pay it in perpetuity?
-
I have to admit i haven't been too tuned into the WS, but whats the issue/difference between members and those who sign up to direct debit?
