Didnt he say back in the summer that he wanted to be judged on this pitch? His pitch??
-
Thats what I thought as well. Not a groundsman, but neither is Brown and he seemed to know about covers killing grass. Cant we have let the snow fall and then clear it? Or leave the covers on for the two days of snow and then remove snow and covers? Surely the minute that Accies game was called off 3 days before the match for the burst pipes, we should have had the US turned off and covers removed given we were not due to play at home again for weeks. Maybe we did, maybe its our manager who is mistaken??

I think you will find browsing these boards, a number of experts in many fields Too be fair though, you don't have to be a horticulturalist, or even a groundsman to note how shite the pitch looked on Saturday.

Maybe warrantys go when they hear we had the US heating running for 3 weeks with pitch covers on top, even though we were only scheduled to be playing the one game on it anyway! I've got to say that despite the warnings we had back in the summer that the pitch would get dodgy in the winter months, I am dissapointed at how bad it has become so quickly, without a game being played on it. I had a walk round the pitches at Pollok Park on Sunday which have notoriously bad drainage. They were all pretty decent to be fair. They dont have paid groundsmen, US heating, pitch covers, etc. and had inches of snow lieing on them for a couple of weeks before it melted in. A fucking public park with bad drainage outperforming a proffesional outfit which has had close to 400k spent on it! Not good! On the positive side, it would be remis of my rant not to mention that Falkirks and St Johnstones didn't really seem much better from what I saw on the TV.

Our pies are nothing special, better than the fayre you get at Tyncastle and St Mirren but nothing to write home about. How the standards have slipped from 15 years ago! I had always thought the killie pie was an overhyped marketing creation, but I had 2 last weekend and fuck me they were beautiful! If they get relegated can we ask to get them in our place instead?? A Killie Pie at Fir Park.

If Hutch is fit, get him in the team, even if it means playing him upfront with the Juke. Imagine the goal threat we would carry with the two of them up top, particularly if we play two wingers whipping balls in all day.

Its a free weekend on ESPN so all platforms can watch for nothing. That should mean attendance of about 3000!
-
Would you rather be involved in the 'excitment' below? No chance! I don't think we can totally write off Europe. Yes, its going to take some doing but all you need is to put together 3 wins in this league and you bound up that table. Look at Hearts. Plus, Dundee United will go through their now annual collapse on the field, this could be worsened if the rumours of impending administration are true.

Any word yet if we'v got intrawebs coverage or is it an open all mikes job?

Fucking brilliant! Loved it, great day boozing with my Killie mate in the sports bar before it. Then we leathered them. Great performances all round, special mentions to JOB and Coke. Humphrey was the best I've seen him yet. Fair play to the boys sitting at the left hand side, just above the corrigated roof thing, never stopped singing the whole match. They got a good atmosphere going and even had a good few songs for our injured players who were in the stand. Only one gripe, the sing song walking down the stairs was class except for one bawbag that has to find a way to insert the Sieg Heil. What a fud. At least it wasn't a mass chant, it was just one wee fanny.

Aye? Ya lucky bastard! Even when we get beat you get something good out of it!

How about..... Dear Steelmen Online pant wetters, thankyou for the concern but I am enjoying my holiday safe in the knowledge that the club is being run appropriately by the general manager I put in charge. She has already moved to secure the services of Jack, Victor, Ruddy and the Juke, whilst also over-seeing the mopping of the floor in flows office. On my holiday I also managed to punt McGarry off to some Perth mob since St Johnstone said no. Im not sure what more I could have done had I been back in Motherwell. Love, John Boy.

Doesnt seem very proffessional, but at the end of the day McGarry was fraud of a footballer anyway and we are better off shot of him.

Without going into the one upmanship of where should it get posted, I like the idea. Not sure how workable it is right enough and its surely open to abuse. We all pass our season tickets to our mates anyway when we can't go for any reason. Such a proposal would essentially mean we wouldn't be selling any tickets for away games as anyone who wanted to attend would just locate a season ticket holder and use their brief.

Good question. I was due to get one for christmas but got given the £40 to cover it instead. That money has long since turned into beer tokens.......

If Slane makes a decision based on the opinions of a bunch of fannies on the internet, then god help him!

East stand, in between a moderator and a steelmen angler.
-
Possible answer 1 - Because McGhee didnt make sure he signed and wanted to punt him to Celtic for 40k Possible answer 2 - McGhee gets flack for everything, rightly or wrongly.

Not sure about death trap, but didnt someone get captured on tv falling down the stairs once upon a time........

That reminds me, I met Goram, propped up at the bar in the Palace one night.

Work, school, tesco, braehead, gigs, cinemas, bingo..... don't require a polis presence who are responsible for the safety of all fans travelling to and at the game.
-
Aye, but then you have to think about the likely temperatures for the punters sitting out in it, temparatures on the road home at night through the highlands and maybe even temperatures that are suitable for players to play football in.

Its glorious sunshine in Glasgow City Centre as well, but its still fucking -2 outside!
