  1. No. We will be through to the same stage we were at against Nancy.

    The Duke

10 goals or something like that! Dont get me wrong, I thought he was a cracking player and we are definatley going to miss the guy but I wouldnt quite say one of the best finishers I have ever seen!
  3. Are season ticket seats reserved for a week again or is it a total free for all this time?
  4. Big Stall

    Hutchinson

I would say he wasn't 100% fit in the shambolic display at Ibrox and the goals conceeded against Flamurtari, he had a dodgy keeper behind him. I think he is going to be our best player by a mile, and had he been a Rangers player Liverpool would have signed him up before Wilson. He does however need a bit more experience, which he will get at Motherwell soon enough no doubt.
  5. It means its hoff 2, your in the palace, had nae luck and theres some fat burd giving you the eye........
  6. Cammy and Stuart. I played golf with yer da the other night!
  7. Aye, but he's good in a fight!
  8. JOB was not great, but.............. JOB could do what the majority of our team can't. He can get the ball, run at defenders beating men and he could open the game up. We haven't lost the best player Motherwell has ever seen thats for sure. But without him or a Slane or a McCormack or even a Faddy before them all, we have lost that little bit extra which can separate you from being a middle of the road spl team, to one who can take the game to the opposition and push for europe. IMO!
  9. Yes, I would agree, and Germany is still reasonably driveable if flights etc go through the roof. Driving to Southern Spain, Italy or eastern Europe would be a royal pain in the tits.
  10. At a time when Old Firm players are falling over themselves to head to the championship, I can hardly see championship players coming to us!
  11. Right, I can see the whole arguament about him fucking us over and how it justifyably rankles with a good number of our support. But this arguament about it only benefiting celtic were it ever to happen is just nonsense. As has been said previously, if you cling to this idea then you are surely against any player coming to us on loan. And while we are at it, if Slane did come to us and was directly responsible for us being an extra 10+ points better off in the season then Celtic would not be the only beneficiaries. Do I think it would happen though? No.
  12. I thought he was pretty good in the away leg against Stauea. imo
  13. Yep, agreed. And while I understand some of the digs about the guy on this website, we were crying out for a Paul Slane type player on Thursday to run at the defence and make something happen. Without him and JOB, we are really missing that element.
  14. While we'r at it, when your looking for a goal, bring on Hutchy!!
  15. Im not suggesting we punt him or anything. All im saying is he shouldnt be played upfront. Personally I'de have him as an impact sub, and bring him on to play on the right wing.
  16. Just like nam, you weren't there dude, you werent there! I can't be arsed but I would bet a hefty chunk that were I to dig through the archives and find the match thread, you will have been posting from across the pond. Put quite simply, Humphrey was atrocious in that position. Add into the fact that in all the games I have watched him in (which is far more that you will have seen ) the one thing he is even worse at than crossing, is getting his foot through the ball. Now being able to hit a shot is a key skill for an attacker so I would quite happily say no. Keep him on the wing to try and stretch the game. I should point out though that I do think there would be merit on standing him on the half way line when we are defending corners, any big punt up the park with him running onto it would have an opposition defence in disarray. Full time upfront - no thanks.
  17. You weren't there. You didnt see how dire he actually was. Saying that, admitedly the whole team were shite that night, including the manager.
  18. He was shocking when we tried it against St Mirren last season!
  19. Yep, me too. We need a player who can run at better teams than Breidilbank, and make things happen!
  20. At the end of the day, a wins a win, and we cant really ask for more than a win and keeping a clean sheet in our first game. Were we impressive? No. I was quite surprised when I got in the car after the game and heard the radio say we should have won it out the park. Don't get me wrong, Im delighted to have won but I didn't see anything to suggest we are going to be having a great season…… just yet. Last night for me showed we are short of a striker and more importantly a player who can run at teams and open things up a bit, a JOB. Just a shame Slane sold out, as he would have been an ideal replacement. The pitch looked fantastic, and whilst it did early doors last season, big slide tackles would always result in cavernous divots being excavated from the pitch. That wasn't the case lastnight which was very good to see. Finally, what went on with the seat numbers in row F in the east stand? Either there has been a mess up with new number stickers or they have added in 4 extra seats. I sit in the row behind, and watching everyone struggle to find their seats, which had just been moved 4 spaces away was funny to start with, but as the game went on and more and more punters came in it really started to frustrate.
