Its glorious sunshine in Glasgow City Centre as well, but its still fucking -2 outside!
-
It might not be a bad idea. Not the injury part. But if he's signed up for Celtic, and heading for a couple of years anonymity, then 4 months in the spot light for us ripping holes in the opposition defences would get him a head start in his park head career.

BBC 5 day forecast (which isn't the most reliable) says the maximum daytime temp in Inverness on Saturday will be -4 and foggy. As much as I want to go to Inverness for this game, I can't say Im looking forward to sitting in -4 freezing fog for it. Potentially stuck on the road on the way home as the temperatures plummet. It may well be an afternoon in the pub with Jeff, for me.

I'de be pretty chuffed if we can keep him. Saying that, its not like losing Porter or McCormack.
-
I've heard from numerous folks that know him, both through Motherwell and St Mirren, that he's a really good guy. So all the best to him. I have never thought much of his football skills right enough and I have never hidden that.

Ruddy and Juke staying, Yaass away. This is fucking awsum news!
-
This is good news, Hibs have beaten us twice this season and we'v looked toothless against them. Now if Buz is playing, all we need to do is play with two wingers and constantly whip high balls into the box and he'l be lost.
-
Anyone in the know/pals with players/ pals with the bus driver etc. If Ruddy and Lukas were taking active part in the much reported singing on the bus? Hopefully they hated Gannon as much as the rest appeared to and we can still retain their services. I'll be gutted if pictures leak out of those two sitting at the front, faces tripping them while yaas is in the middle of a Craigan-McGarry gang hug celebration.
-
That is a good point. We all thought we were finally going to see the back of McGarry. Now I would imagine he'll be here until the summer at least.
-
Im just floating this, but if Gannon was actively seeking a way out then they couldn't let it go on. Gannon would have had the senior players out the door in the January transfer windon, he would then have walked himself first chance he got, leaving us with a proper under 19 team. I wouldnt have minded craigan, lasley and co getting punted as long as JG was here long term to implement his plan, but there would be no sense in letting him decimate the club if he was going to leave in a couple of months.

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager
Big Stall replied to steelman1991's topic in Club Chat
Fuck the server, what about a new manager?? -
Scott Leitch who invites JOB to his hoos so he can tap him up for Aberdeen! Fuck that shit right off!!!
-
Didnt see Staunton, Boothroyd, McAllister etc all wanting it in the summer either though....... I'll say it again. Inspired choice would be Fergie Jnr. Nae comp needed either, chance to make a name in Scotland just like his old man did all those years ago.

Even if it was McGhee coming back?

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager
Big Stall replied to steelman1991's topic in Club Chat
Even if he has been hawking himself for every available job in England, just months after his appointment at Fir Park? -
Because there are no tehnicalities left to save us from relegation when he finishes us at the bottom of the table again!

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager
Big Stall replied to steelman1991's topic in Club Chat
I have no inside knowledge, no contacts etc and only know the same as every other punter that attends FP, reads the website and these boards. But, to Wellgirl, emmajay and the others who think this is a bad decision, I think its important to point out that Motherwell don't sack managers for being 6th. Theres plenty more to this. -
Add it all together mate. No commitment, applying for other jobs means he will be out the door soon. Falling out with the senior players means they would have been out the door in the January window. If Gannon was certain to be going sometime in the next few months, Boyle had to act now or we would be left with a team of under 19's and no manager in February.

Aye, I've heard that the United players are seriously lobbying for Houston to be appointed the top job at tranny. That would be one less hurdle for us. Although he is on his 4 game probation, 1 point off killy, a very probable humping at Ibrox on Wednesday....... I'de like to think we can approach, Boothroyd, McAllister, Burley, Calderwood. Wouldn't mind Collins to be honest. Signing of the decade would be Darren Ferguson, but I can't see that happening.

A wee thread to see what he's done for us, good and bad. Dont hold back. Positives: - - Gave us hope when we thought a relegation battle was certain, and showed us we can believe in youth. - Signed Hutchy, Forbes, Saunders and Murphy on long term deals - Stood up to the media and refs. - Brought interested to this forum, as of right now there is 278 users browsing!! Negatives: - - Yaas! - Not talking to the fans through the media - Cant get a team to play against 10 men! - Possibly as much of a whore as McGhoo, albeit he's been doing it behind the scenes.
-
Lots of suggestions that JG has been off applying for jobs down south in the last few months. If thats the case, wouldn't it be poetic justice if Boyle does a Man City on his arse and already has the successor signed and sealed, ready to be announced tomorrow!
-
Walks out to join some English division2 mob, run out of town by the combined might of the SFA, Media and Refs, Sacked by Boyle.............. If he does go in the not too distant future, then we should recognise that he has actually done some good at fir park, namely sign up some of our younger starlets on long term contracts. Hutch, Saunders, Forbes, Murphy etc etc.
-
I think if we could get Hutchy fit, he could hand out a good few beatings as necessary.
-
Nope, he did plenty wrong which was worse than that. He was caught out of position many times, but what sticks in my mind was the first chance he had to put in a cross in the first half, he put the ball into the south stand. It was so bad it nearly got into the top tier! I remember it well as I turned to my mate while he was working the wing and said watch this, he'l do the hard work and fuck the cross up! Saying that, he was instrumental in our goal, so he and Jennings at least get some pass marks against their names unlike the rest of the team.
