  1. Surely wasn't 300 empty seats in that stand.
  2. Clydebank at home 0-0. Gary Mac and Mauchlin transferred to Leicester after game.
  3. Give Wallace some credit, he did at least keep us up that season. Only kidding, he ruined a great attacking team and couldn't wait to get back to Ibrox. Remember his last game was a league cup tie at Morton. Wallace Wallace get to f**k was belted out a few times!
  4. Carson and Brucie Cleland scored our goals. We did get someone sent off, cant mind if it was Carson tho'.
  5. Rangers home, lost 2-1. Celtic home, drew 4-4.
  6. Think the main reason the fence was put up was after the trouble at Hibs and Hearts games that season, especially Hibs in the cup with 20,000 there and only a few cops to seperate them.
  7. Fence didn't go up until start of next season, I think.
  8. Forgot that was the same game
  9. 90/91 2-0 at home to Celtic. Dubcheck sent off and McNeil losing it with Kirkie at half time.
  10. What was the guy from Post Office ads doing in Bucharest? ps, Thats our mad taxi driver.
  11. We arrived late at 2004 game and didn't get in, despite the fact that stand opposite ours was empty. Tried to get into main stand but were told it was for home supporters only. Don't think we'll take anywhere near that amount anyway.
  12. Most of our taxi drivers were rip-off merchants apart from the guy that took us to and from the game. Guy was an absolute head case who kept joining in our songs and we must have had about twenty near misses on the way. He ended up taking us to the airport at 3am on Friday morning as well and is now the proud owner of a brand new Well shirt.
  13. You'd do anything to avoid buying a drink, Jumbo.
  14. Some folk have nothing else to moan about!
  15. Correct. The only reason I've kept it is for those pics TBH.
  16. Had a season ticket in the enclosure for a couple of years in the early nineties. Was always plenty of banter in there when we played the OF, was never much segregation. Game that springs to mind was the opener against Celtic in 1993, we were 2-0 up and it ended 2-2. Agree it would be good to reopen it as a safe standing are maybe. Never happen though.
  17. Cheers for that Pie. From 1975 semi final at Hampden, first game. Picture is from a old 1977 annual. Also got colour pics from 1976 semi but don't think anyone would want to see them!

    Paul Mcgrillen

Can't believe we've lost another player from that era. Some great memories from that team in mid nineties, should never have left Motherwell. R.I.P. Paul
