The two main ones were both in season 83/84. There was also trouble at the Cup game in 82 which probably kicked off the rivalry.

SFA enquiry recommended that result was made null and void and match replayed. SFL rejected this and fined Rangers, can't remember how much. Rangers won league by 2 points. I was at the wall just to right of main stand when it kicked off.

Just realised the result against Celtic in 1937 was 8-0. We have recorded 8-1 victories since then though:- 1939 Huntly away in Cup 1958 Third Lanark home in League Also found an 8-3 against Albion Rovers in 1949. Courtesy of "Well Again" and Statto.

Okay, it might not "cover our costs" completely but 100 fans paying roughly 500 quid each gives you 50 grand towards the total cost, which going by your own figures would be over 80 grand. Surely that is taken into consideration. ps, any info on sale of tickets for away leg?

For all of McGhees faults, my main memory of him will be that he took us from the Malpas era and led us into Europe and a fantastic trip to Nancy. Also the way he handled Phils death was very dignified. Will be curious to see if he follows the same pattern at Aberdeen. Ie, good first season and then losing interest and looking elsewhere.
