  1. What it does shows is that even with the transfer window closed there are still good players and good deals out there.
  2. Burnley are actively seeking to loan out midfielder Kevin McDonald, according to manager Brian Laws. The 21-year-old joined the club from Dundee in 2008 but has only had 23 minutes of first-team action this season, scoring after coming off the bench against Morecambe in the Carling Cup. "Kevin has maybe fallen from grace a wee bit," he told the club's official website. "He has found himself out of the first XI and difficult to get on the bench - that's how difficult it is to break into this squad. "The competition in midfield is as intense as anywhere and everyone is performing well. "That makes it difficult to involve Kevin in some capacity, so we have talked about getting him out on loan if we can and we are actively trying to do something."
  3. I think that in Murphy and Humphrey we have two of the most exciting prospects in Scotland ,Ive taken a wee while to be won over by Humphrey but the improvement of both players this season is very evident .
  4. Just had a wee look at jamboskickback best post was ....Whos this boy Humphrey anyway.
  5. A work beside lots and lots of jambos cant wait for Monday.

  8. Your right mate im thinking of Steven Howarth.
  9. Hateley is the one I cant understand ,no done a lot apart from a belter in Denmark to earn a place , mind you if he scores another like it today that will be o.k.
  10. McKinnon on the bench that will be Rab Mckinnons nephew only 17 but a great prospect, Carswell is a young guy we signed from Clyde and is another prospect a bit like Skippy in build ,unless he is injured I find id hard to understand Jamie Pollocks omission from the squad.
  11. Why did we sign Casagolda Dave, complete waste of a wage when you consider our lack of personnel in other areas ,or what about giving a young player a go ,Ive been going on about young Jamie Pollock for some time he could play central midfield no problem.
  12. I think if we had an attack minded manager who liked his teams to play football Gow could be a decent signing, but if we are just going to hump the ball up the park then its going will be difficult for quite a few players.

  15. According to the official Falkirk site our under 19,s beat Falkirk under 19,s 1-0 today in a match at Dalziel park .Must have been a friendly ,anyone know anything.
  16. Randolph in goal a back four of Hateley ,Craigan,Reynolds and Hammell, in the middle i would go with Jennings, Lasley and Gow, and i would give young Pollock a run out playing just behind the front two of Murphy and Sutton.
  17. Brown also updated motherwellfc.co.uk on yesterday’s bounce game with Hearts at Riccarton. The Steelmen ran out 2-1 winners courtesy of goals from Esteban Casagolda and Nick Blackman and Brown heaped praise on the fringe players bursting a gut to get into the team. The 70-year-old said, “We don’t normally make too big a fuss about these bounce games, which is quite deliberate as they are often experimental. “But I must pay tribute to our lads; they were superb. Both our goals were absolutely terrific. Casagolda burst through one-on-one with the goalkeeper and lobbed a beautiful effort into the net. The second, from Blackman, was a carbon copy of Lukas Jutkiewicz’s against Hibs at the tail end of last season. “We are getting better and better performances from our fringe lads. Jonathan Page, for example is certainly benefitting from the increased exposure to first-team football and Lee Hollis looked assured and safe in goals. We are hopeful these guys, along with the others, can start staking a claim for a regular start in the first-team. “We also tried one or two players in different positions and they did well. We’ve now got some things to think about ahead of the game with St Johnstone on the 11th September.”

  19. Jim Gannon was an arrogant bastard of a man whose training methods gave us a team who ran out of steam after an hour, and he himself ran out of Ideas when other teams got the measure of his style of play.
  20. Hard to believe it was on this date August 30 2003, he scored twice in a 2-2 draw with Partick thistle. 7 years ago .
