  1. To be honest I cant see what this guy has that makes him a stand out choice ,54 years old and apart from a brief stint as caretaker manager at Sunderland has no managerial experience at all. I'm not saying I dont want him as our manager but hes not the be all and end all of the search.
  2. I would imagine if things ain't sorted out today it will be next week before we appoint a new manager.
  3. Ricky Sbragia has emerged as Motherwell’s main target to be their new manager. The 54-year-old Scot currently works as Sunderland’s chief scout, having previously been boss. It is believed Well chief executive Leeann Dempster is working hard to land him before Sunday’s game with Rangers. from the glasgow evening times
  4. I must be Martin Oneill and John Robertson.
  5. I wont push you for a name Bop but has J.B going to surprise us again .
  6. Stubbs said: “I would never rule the Motherwell job out because I had a lot of good times in Scotland. “There has been a bit of talk about the vacancy there and senior management is definitely something I want to get into. “But I’m currently the reserve team manager at Everton and I’m really enjoying that.” Stubbs added: “I was very lucky to have played with a fantastic club up in Scotland like Celtic. “ That would make it easier if the opportunity came along. I’m not saying I am going to get the Motherwell job, but I would never say never. “I am hoping to complete my pro licence in January so senior management is definitely the next step for me and something I want to do.”
  7. Luc Nijholt, was on the shortlist to replace McGhee could he be in the frame this time ?
  8. Stubbs received a glowing recommendation for the Fir Park job from Toffees boss Davie Moyes and it's believed he's now close to being handed his first managerial role by Well chairman John Boyle. Stubbs' knowledge of the English market is key while Well are also keen to retain their links with Everton, who allowed John Ruddy and Lukasz Jutkiewicz to join them on loan last season.
  9. If it was between him and McGhoo who would you take Johnstone ,don't sit on the fence now its one or the other.

  11. gambling expert on sky sports news pointed out a few reasons why jennings' incident is suspicious: - several bets placed in liverpool area (jennings' hometown). - substantial amounts of money (£200, £500) bet on sending off. - people tried to lift winnings from accounts as soon as game finished (most big gamblers leave money in accounts
  12. Agree with the club on this ,now lets move on.

  15. STV say the bets were made in the Liverpool area.

  17. Hartson says I know that Motherwell are looking for a new manager now that Craig Brown has left for Aberdeen. If John Boyle was to contact me that would really put the cat among the pigeons. A job in the top flight of Scottish football is something I'd obviously need to consider. The opportunity to manage Motherwell would turn my head. I don't know what Mr Boyle is thinking about as he begins his search for a new boss. But I'd bring commitment, passion and desire to the job. A commitment he's probably never seen before. I enjoyed a hugely successful playing career.
  18. 15 Dec 2010 Rangers great Stuart McCall has thrown his hat into the ring for the vacant Motherwell manager’s job. McCall has been out of work since parting company with former club Bradford City earlier this year and is currently doing scouting work for Norwich City. However, the former Scotland midfielder is keen to get back into management and would jump at the chance to return to this country to take charge of the Steelmen. Former Chelsea assistant boss Steve Clarke will NOT be taking over from Craig Brown at Fir Park. The ex-St Mirren player is on gardening leave after splitting from West Ham – where he was No.2 to Gianfranco Zola – in the summer and does not want to be considered
  19. I would never say that Broon didn't do a good job for Motherwell ,but the teams style of play particularly at home on numerous occasions left a lot to be desired .When he said he was staying last week i was happy ,but when he left the next day i was still happy if that makes sense.
  20. Second best in almost every department tonight so cant complain ,I wouldn't fault the effort of the players but some schoolboy defending and continually giving the ball away when we have possession is a recipe for disaster.Lasley was my man of the match and he scored a good goal.Oh aye and our poor home form continues.
  21. I would imagine that most if not all interested parties will have made there interest known to the club by now and that over the next few days a shortlist will be drawn up. Interviews will then take place and I would expect a new gaffer in place sometime next week. Would certainly expect someone in place before the Rangers game on boxing day.
