Was at both games ,I was only 12 years old and that was the first time i remember being gutted by losing a match ,but those Texaco cup night were brilliant .
This makes me think it might be old firm players... "If it's a money thing, Motherwell are unlikely to be able to compete but if it's an opportunity to get a game every week, we might have a chance.

Queen’s Park boss Gardner Speirs has revealed that defensive starlet Barry Douglas is at the centre of a three- way battle to claim his signature.
Douglas will head off for holiday today mulling over offers from Motherwell and Championship side Watford with another unnamed SPL side also in the frame.
Speirs said: “Barry is an outstanding young defender with a big future and he has been the subject of enquiries by both Motherwell and Watford. Either way it would be a great move for him.”
The QP gaffer added: “We have re-signed our captain Tony Quinn who has a huge influence on and off the field. It is great for us he will be staying with the club.”
Kilbirnie Ladeside midfielder Davie Anderson is understood to be a Spiders target.
You would come into the category of an o.k coppers with brains though Jay .You could do a lot worse than joining the police mate, good money ,doc martins ,and a big truncheon.
Thanks for the memories Lukas and Ruddy ,for me the best two players in Motherwell shirts this season, wish you both every success in the future. Not many players are held in such high esteem by supporters after just one season.
Just like Walter (Smith) is happy to work without a contract because he is a Rangers man, I’m happy to do the same as I’m a Motherwell man. I’ve always had an affinity with Motherwell since I have been involved with the club.”Well said Craig .
Everything said and done its still in our own hands .We win against Hibs at home on Wednesday and were euro bound. We would have taken that back at the beginning of December eh guys.
At Motherwell we have a youth system to be proud of , this season Ive been fortunate enough to take in quite a few games at Bathgate and the young guys have been excellent. That's the last time some of the players will play at under 19 level but they now move up to the first team squad and in the years to come will go on play for the first team .
A move north would suit the 29-year-old as he has family ties in Glasgow and Motherwell could offer European football should they finish fourth in the SPL.
Walsall boss Chris Hutchings said today: “Rhys’ wife is from Scotland and he sought my permission to link-up with Motherwell for a short trial. I gave him permission on that basis but he will be back training with us before the end of the week.”
