  1. Herein lies the problem really. Some people relaxed with just sitting anywhere and others, a lot of them, who rightly want their seat if it's on the ticket. Especially a proble if it's a busy stand someone is in your seat and the only ones left are either shite/beside a drum/in the middle of people standing if you like to sit/in the middle of people sitting if you like to stand etc. Should either be fully enforced by stewards, or fully ignored and everyone clearly told they can sit anywhere. It can't be that difficult. It's only difficult when stewards tell different things and some of our own support turn into mentalists about seats on the day!
  2. Just signed his first pro contract in the summer so would be sad to see him depart if he offers a good bit of promise. That said, if it's good money I guess it could work for both parties.
  3. Impossible to know what team will turn up....so I'll give up trying to guess the result. I'd echo the above of playing players in their positions. That would at least be a start.
  4. Three - two suspended. Should be ok as long as we can get the messages back and forth as needed. Not ideal though.
  5. I'm going to assume your fishing here and just leave it at that.
  6. Give yerself peace. 4 first picks rested, 3 first picks injured. Next 3 are the important games.
  7. Unfortunately I think we'll see Turnbull and Cadden (same agency I believe) move on. Hard balance contracts with youth as mentioned above re Thomas and Watt. At least if Turnbull does go we get the compo.
  8. Writing on the wall for Frear you'd have to say with the recent comments on lack of width and pace.
  9. 2012 since we sat won up there ( I think). I'd take a draw and be more than happy I reckon.
  10. Not many. But the wage bill is a lot lower so I would expect that. An unfortunate consequence of living within our means.
  11. Are we signing any of these players in January?
  12. Well off topic here. Rose was not good enough for what we need out of a midfielder in our current team set up. Works for him to go back to MLS. End.
  13. St Johnstone and Tommy Wright are often raised up as the best thing since sliced bread and far ahead of the teams of similar size/following etc like us... Since St Jonnstone have came up (2008/2009) they've finished top 6, 6 times (6th, 3rd, 6th, 4th, 4th, 4th) and bottom 6, 3 times (8th, 8th, 8th). Been in Europe 5 seasons. 3 cup semi's and 1 final which of course they won the Scottish Cup. Since 2008/9 we have top 6, 6 times (5th, 6th, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 5th) and bottom 6, 3 times (7th, 11th, 9th). Been in Europe 6 times. 1 cup semi and 3 cup finals. Other than that elusive cup win I'd say that's not hugely different....
  14. Rose simply wasn't a good enough footballer for this level. I did appreciate what he did though defensively. Freed up wage. Ticks my box.
  15. Rose back to the MLS soon it would seem. Vancouver have just bought his 'MLS rights' from Seattle. Odd system...but to pay that youd think they know they can acquire him from us now, or later. https://www.sounderatheart.com/2018/12/9/18132637/sounders-trade-andy-rose-rights-vancouver-whitecaps-that-so-mls
  16. We huffed and puffed but couldn't see much wrong with the goal we got chopped off and I don't think Hearts made many gilt edged chances and neither did we. Generally a shit game to watch though with a Hearts mopping up every long ball and us unable to break through on the deck.
  17. I think the overall 18 is on balance stronger. Some clearly not good enough, some are, some have been injured. Add in some first choice long term absentees and we are in a position where some of the players signed to make the bench better are now being asked to play in the first 11 and be deemed good enough for that by us the adoring fans... when probably they were signed to support that first 11 and perhaps gradually make it into the team.
  18. Gillespie is playing, Aldred is playing, Johnson is playing, Donnelly is injured, ATS is just back from injury, Gorrin is on the bench and featured recently Mbulu featured recently. Problem really is we have Carson, Cadden, Tanner, maybe Dunne, maybe Hartley all out and all who would be first choice.
  19. We'll see what happens with Turnbull I guess. Hope we don't lose him. As for the future with youth, I do agree we need to see them earlier in the first team than we generally do to increase the chances of of a youth progressing to become a solid first team player. Wether that's our academy and reserve structure not getting them ready early enough for the manager to feel confident to pick them, or the first team manager not picking them early enough, or a bit of both doesn't really matter to me. It needs reviewed and then improved so the 'pathway' works better. So over to Hammel, Craigan and Robinson to do that...
  20. Yep defintley. Would be a shame to lose him so early if indeed he chooses to go. If we do then weve probably got some thinking to do on our strategy of bleeding in young players and offering of contracts. Hard balance mind you.
  21. Daily Express reporting Swansea interested in oor David Turnbull and Shankland, from Ayr. That will be the background perhaps to the manager comments about Turnbull wanting to stay but agent having other ideas...
  22. Yep, agree with that basically. Hoping Dunne is deemed match fit so Tait can move back to the right hand side.
