I said last few games....mainly thinking the playoffs including his all round play in them. We all know he didn't score loads of goals without yer spreadsheet getting an outing!
There's load of people on here acting like their ex has said she is moving back in.
1 short sub. But watching the U20s regularly before he was at Airdrie, and then his cup performance. Does not fill me with hope. Hopefully a good pre season and working with McGhee can change that.
Erwin or not we need another striker who can seriously push McDonald and Moult. Moore may do it but I really cannot see Mackin doing ithe unfortunately.
If Erwin came back and continued his form of his last few games for us he would add to the team. He still has great promise. Be surprised though if he did appear back.
Either way we need another striker for cover and to push McDonald and Moult. Going in with 3 strikers is, I don't think Mackin will be near the first team, not really an option.
All depends on who we bring in of course but I don't fancy losing Lasley and Pearson at the same time.
A lot of experience gone in the middle of the park.
Fraser Kerr went to Birmingham when he was 16. Mind that? It's a punt by Burnley on a promising player. No more, no less. Definitely not one I am hugely annoyed about.
I wouldn't want to be losing Pearson and Lasley in the same season.
If all these players leave that are reportedly doing so that will be Law, Ainsworth, Johnson, Pearson, Hall, Hammell and Lasley. Think McGhee might need more than 4 players in....
If it is Leitch then fair play.
Watched a fair bit of the U20s and like the look of him. But he wasn't ready for first team last year. That's why he wasn't around it or on the bench.
I cannae wait until we actually sign someone. That will be gid.
Looking at this from the otger side.....If Hall is being told that he is fighting out with Kennedy, Laing and Ferguson for the second spot then maybe he thinks he can get a better chance after 1st team football elsewhere. Or even if not a better chance, then the same chance but on more money.
I always was under the impression that it was the Category of club that the player left that was used in compensation. So a Category 1 youth development club (say...Arsenal) would get more than a Category 2 club (for example Sheffield Wednesday). I could and probably am very wrong though!
I would be disappointed to lose Hall. Loads of potential. However we have Laing, Kennedy and hopefully Ferguson on pushing for that 'young defender' spot so it does not really leave us needing to fill the position.
I definitely don't think they will be the same the team last time they were in the Premiership. But they are better than last time they faced us and will add to the squad ahead of when we play them. I think it will be a decent contest.
