  1. McHugh got 45 today, as did Lucas. Wouldn't be surprised to see one of them get time tomorrow.
  2. Decent run out against a solid enough Dumbarton team. Apart from what I said earlier... Heneghan looks good in the air and fairly strong. Very comfortable Chalmers looks fitter but still not good enough for the top level. Lucas has a great range of passing on him. Be good to see him against a better quality of opposition. Moore did himself no harm today. Strong running and got to quite few in the air too to flick on
  3. Trialist on the bench is Lucas, by the way Had a few decent chances. So have Dumbarton. McHugh has looked good. Assured and strong on the ball and decent passing. Thomas and Ainsworth have had a lot of ball but can't quite get the final ball. Thomas missed a sitter. Moult has been trying hard but not really at the races - should really have stuck two away.
  4. The bold Willie Collum ref today. Brill McMillan Kennedy Ferguson Chalmers Campbell McHugh MacLean Thomas Ainsworth Moult * Up front/wings are pretty fluid
  5. Making a big thing of the 25th makes sense. It's a date most things have a big anniversary for and it's in most people's living memory. For me the league win and first cup win don't mean as much as the 91 win. But that's just me maybe. It's also obviously much harder to get material together for the older events (e.g dvd, former players etc). What we shouldn't do is forget our history. But I do agree we shouldn't celebrate things every 5 year as it loses value...25/50/100/125 etc is good enough for me if anything.
  6. As with everything it will work itself. He will get another club, there will be no tribunals and we will have to find someone else to post most of the blame on to.
  7. Just on twitter that replica strips can have the sponsor printed if you want. So that solves any issues with kids (or anyone else) wanting it on there and others not. Good stuff. (Prize for first person to moan that it will probably cost more...no info on that yet so save it.)
  8. I can see it now you point out the difference but it makes not difference to me at all. Still looks gid.
  9. I think they look great with the sponsors and even flippin' better without. People talking about stitching and every intricacy of a football top...get's me every time on here. Whatever floats your boat though. So, wire in.
  10. No, it was Lee Lucas. Edit: Pretty much a second string except Moult and McHugh starting.
  11. User Actions Following Scott Mullen‏@scottmullen87 Worth noting that @MotherwellFC 's new kits will be sold without sponsor on the shirt. Motorpoint logo will only appear on first-team kit.
  12. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2016/07/07/ten-miles-of-team-building/ Another wee video up covering a recovery day during pre season. I like these insights into the club. Seeing the manager wave across the canal on his bike was a personal highlight. Haha.
  13. Could be a good move for him. I think he is great player who has a great chance of stepping up. Playing in a competitive league while bulking up a bit (like Cadden) could be the making of him.
  14. Aye it rings a bell with me too. Could be the 2nd tier actually.
  15. Given the club financials it would probably make sense to combine the asst manager/u20 manager roles again. Not sure if McGhee would want Crags or vice versa but would free up some cash.
  16. He was playing for a Czech team called Viktoria Zizkov, who are in the 3rd tier of their football system.
  17. Or not: http://the72.co.uk/59633/bradford-city-say-no-leeds-united-striker-loan/ Haha.
  18. Tony Straker made me smile. That is enough for me. Hit.
  19. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/686779/Leeds-transfer-edging-closer-Garry-Monk-considering-loan-deal-club-Transfer-News-Gossip Erwin likely to Bradford wth McCall
  20. Laing has been pictured training so not same as Law
  21. The story seems to be that Plymouth had, essentially, a statement of intent from his agent in writing last week that the player would sign anot extended contract come Monday (yesterday). Pen wasn't actually put to paper on the contract though and he got our offer and changed his mind. Kick in the baws for Plymouth but there ye go. Delighted.
  22. Good signing, on the face of it, and looks like he had a very good season last year when you have a look around the internet. Left footed, young, anchor man midfielder type converted from a defender. Pleased with that. Also pleasing to see we do have a Plan B for players when something unexpected happens (e.g Pearson). That's not always been the case!
  23. Chambers has had the same impact. Better even...
