  1. Aye I know you didn't have it clearly. It was to show the fact your statement was based not on fact but on an assumption. Get angry when it's confirmed he is away if you want but until he is relax yerself and be prepared to be challenged when you say something that isn't true. The club offer what they can afford for each player. Just because 1 player signs up on a deal does not equal the specific reason another potentially leaves. It's part of a larger budget being spread across 20 odd players.
  2. Haven't seen the links to McDonald being officially signed by anyone yet. Assuming you have, so if you could post that would be great... Hammell is on a much reduced deal and we have just signed 4 other players. So it's a jump to say by signing Hammell specifically we can't keep Pearson and McDonald.
  3. Surprised at 2 years as my gut reaction is he is becoming more injury prone. That said, he did turn out for us 29 times last season so not a bit part player. They did mention last year the reason his injury flared up last season was due to the injury prior to it not being fixed properly. So hopefully other than that he will stay fit. He has his negatives but was still hugely important last year. Overall happy he is in again, and ar a much reduced wage also which is positiv. But I hope we start serious succession planning so that by next season we have in place a younger player coming in and becoming ready to take over.
  4. Aye you might be right. Bigger than I thought if so. Edit: It's Dean Brill.
  5. Who is the big lad to the left of Hammell at 30-35 secs in? Coach or a player/trialist...big bit of a boy either way.
  6. According to Burrows on Twitter pre season starts today
  7. He signed a 2 year deal a few months after he rejoined, until Summer 2017
  8. I like Pearo as well and when on form is a great benefit to the team. Would like to keep him. On the other hand he is a bit more injury prone than I had hoped, suffered a bit of loss of form at key times and is 34 this year. From his persepctive, not looking at immediate gain in wages, he also might have an eye on his contract renewal next year given what had just been offered to the other senior pros.
  9. So by my reckoning, of the contract offers, we have: Re-signed: Samson McManus Lasley Moore Ferguson McMillan (U20) MacLean (U20) Not re-signed: Hammy Skippy - rumoured to Hibs Faddy Hall - moved to Brighton Watters (U20) Leitch (U20) - rumoured to Burnley Mackin (U20) Leavng a first team squad of, not including U20s who did not play last year: Goalkeepers: Samson Defenders: Law Tait Watt Heneghan Kennedy Laing McManus Ferguson Chalmers Midfielders: Ainsworth Thomas Johnson Cadden Pearson Lasley Forwards: Moult Moore Blyth That right? Be interesting to see if any of those not re-signed turn up at pre-season training tomorrow and what else happens before July 16th, or if we will be promoting our U20 such as MacLean, Campbell etc to regular squad members of the 1st team and actually playing them when required.
  10. Aye, I would say quite a big difference. However not as big a gap as there used to be unfortunately If he does as well as Marvin and Moult, who came from the same league, we will be very happy I suspect.
  11. Was never blown away. When we released him I thought probably best given we have other youths coming through and Long didn't look anywhere near challenging first team. All the best to him though..
  12. Guess we will know with what team goes out at Dumbarton the day before. I still reckon it will be split. If anything I would have a stronger team at Dumbarton to ensure more recovery time before Rangers.
  13. Hope Skippy stays. But being 33 in August I could completely understand him chasing more money for what is likely his last couple of years playing.
  14. It's a friendly with half a squad....not fussed at all...
  15. Aye but we will get Bannigan though ;-)
  16. I didn't pick that up from his quotes at all. It's basically the same as last year. Well boss Mark McGhee said Keith is one of our most effective players so from a footballing sense, I am delighted to have him for at least one more year. However, he is more than just that for us hes a captain in every sense of the word. He, along with some of our other excellent senior pros, help set the culture at the club and take a real involvement in other areas such as the Under 20s and the Academy. When youre building a squad, which were doing, you need guys who know what the club, the support and its expectations are all about, and thats Las. We have plenty of more work to do, but retaining Keith in our structure is something I am very pleased about. He will play a key part for us in 2016/17.
  17. It will still be there after the game :-)
  18. Lasley 1 year deal. That will do me.
  19. I don't disagree with that either to be fair!
  20. But yet he didn't send him a text or give him a call or anything. Cmon it's just manners! It's not a big thing but it is a bit off I think.
  21. I know McGhee is arrogant but it's only a courtesy to say thanks and goodbye to your manager. Especially one who gave you your first team start. Poor show I reckon but I am sure McGhee will live.
  22. I don't have a huge amount of confidence in the WS board as it currently stands to run the club. But I do think the likes of Jim McMahon would still be involved whether that is through standing for election (as a WS member already) or other ways. So that gives me a little comfort.
  23. I don't even know what that refers to but ok.
