I agree re: Lionel. I have always liked him, but if he has become a player we can only bring on when the planets are aligned, we need to give that job to a youngster and find someone who can compete for a starting place. If nothing else, both he and chalmers will be gone in the summer, but I'd really like to try and stay in the top division in the meantime.

I voted cadden, partly for the perfect cross he put in, and also because he was the only out ball we had until McDonald came on.

Also, Lasley was way off he pace today. He won the ball a couple of times but was then too fucked to do anything about it. Clay seemed to have a 90 minute warm up, showed no urgency at all. Chalmers wasn't the worst on the park, but that isn't what you should be aiming for.

Rangers should have been 2 or 3 up and coasting before we scored, but through some luck and poor composure by them we somehow got ahead. We created nothing until McDonald came on, and the whole midfield was poor in general. Have to be concerned at Caddens injuries too. It's hard to guess how the rest of the season is going to go based on that, but right now it looks like our only chance of not getting involved in relegation is if we can keep skippy, moult and cadden fit, and find someone to play on the left.

If you haven't read he last couple of pages, I'll summarize by saying: - Mark Reynolds may or may not like us - Someone rumored we're signing him on a pre-contract but he has 18 months left. - I'm surprised no one has tweeted burrows about this, and that it isn't in the papers based on previous rumours started here.

Pearson covers the left side and central mid, and will chip in some goals, so he'd be ideal and doesn't need time to adapt. I could see a few more teams interested, but would like to think he'd give us first refusal. We are light at center back, so could see a loanee defender.

I'm sure rangers would love to have him, but they have no money and he has a fair bit of contract left, so that's not happening. I'm more worried about Moult, and hope that if he does go that it's on he back of a great December, and then Ryan bowman steals his mojo somehow. Lucas and belic will surely be gone, and I'm guessing Laing will be loaned out for the rest of the year. As for incoming, can definitely see Pearson coming back as I have a feeling that was arranged when he left, but I don't see anyone else coming in this time.

Blyth and bowman are on contracts, so unless someone wanted to take them from us, they're going nowhere. Also, there's a chance moult gets sold, so we're going to need forwards. Lucas and belic will go because their deals are up and it should free enough cash to bring someone in who is not injured.

I figured hammell would be back, but assume that Lucas must be injured to not be on the bench after last week.

Tarrant tore us apart in a cup game for Ayr, which pretty much led to his move to villa which didn't go well. I thought he was a great signing until he stepped on the park and realized he wasn't playing against us anymore. Nope. Just checked he was on loan at Ayr from villa after scoring a load of goals for Ross county.

Some forgettable fill ins: Franz Resch (known for signing at the same time as Mario Dorner) Danny Murphy (known for signing alongside Trevor Molly and his taxi driver).

Was curcic a loan? Lewis Grabban was one that did nothing for us then had a career, then Jamie mcclen? Was one from Newcastle that was poor. Or am I imagining him? Kevin McBride was a loan from Celtic who was good in his loan spell but kind of went backwards once he signed. Callum Elliot was probably the worst loan in our history.

If it's more than 750k it's amazing. So that's our bases covered on the hypothetical stuff. The buying club is us usually who specifies that the fee be undisclosed, and it's still money whether the fans know the amount or not.
