You play against much better opponents, esp in Scotland, where as all Non-Old Firm teams put in an extra shift to stop them from scoring. That is probably the case in every country! No, they arent wrong. I simply think that Clarkson is not as good as people make him. Pobably also due to the standard of Football palyers these days in Scotland. As for the Scotland game: Can you remember how many players actually pulled out in that game? And for You are probably right.

Well for Scoring goals he is up there, for actually footballing Skills he is miles, may I say Lightyears away from Fletcher or Miller. Miller is not as good, but Fletcher does offer lots of more things than goals and running through a brick wall. Easy ride is ok, but only to a certain extend.

Ok, I think I know what you mean. Yes, its a great achievement he manged his way so far, esp considering the other players and see where they end up. You are right on this one. The reason why he is still around is imho the fact that he came in a scored, which was terrific at that time and he came through the Well youth. Apart from that, Motehrwell never really had anyone else to play upfront in the 2nd string, did they? Everyone was hoping for him to find his form again. He scored a nice sum of goals this season but that still doesnt make me think he is as good as people make him. I sometimes have the feeling, people do wear kind of "'Well Glasses" when they see DC. That player in another team, would be insulted esp from some people in this board.

I dont think we should resign Malcolm. He is probably on some sort of money, which we could use for someone else. I guess he has got his driving license back as I saw him in Hamilton with a fairly new Bentley

As much as this might be a good thing, its incredible he has this amount of matches, considering his poor run of form for about 2,5 years! So, of course: Well done, but I am shocked. I am not sure, if David Clarkson and Ryan Giggs in one sentence is a good fit...

Faxake, cant hear that shit anymore "Clarkson the runner...." maybe he should have become an Athelte than and do the 10k every no and then! Not a single hope in hell, a player like him will get my vote. Surprisngly some people who like his "running skills" want STeven McGarry out.... I cant remember how often he just waved away and run away, like he doesnt make any mistakes at all. Looked more like a "cant be arsed with you anymore". I dont think anyone deserved it, but Sutton looked at least going for the ball, won some headers and stuff. Nothing fancy, but imho not as bad as everyone else.

I honeslty think, the team would be worse without him. If people want to get rid of playes like Hammell, McGarry, O'Brien etc then he should be out the door as well. I think he has proven that over the last couple of seasons. He is not ready for the step up and as I mentioned in anotehr thread, he had plenty of chances.

I am ready to get thown all kinds of stuff at me but me 100%out is: Clarkson. I cant see him anymore. I do see other players running and fighting liek McGarry. He is trying his best and gets abuse for what reason, where everyone loves someone who doesnt have any technical ability what so ever! Clarkson scores the odd goal, but everytime a goalscorer left he complelty dissappeared. McDonald left, Clarkson didnt take over. Porter left again Clarkson did nothing. That somehow shows me he is not ready to step up to the challenge. The argument that he is still young doesnt count for long anymore. Just bc he came out of the own ranks?? tststs. Why not playing Kit Man Alan then? No disrespect to him, but he can run as well and he doesnt need to do more to match Clarksons performance!

How does no one complain of SUper-World Star Striker David "I cant even control a Ball" Clarkson... He seems to get of very, very lightly! Retrospectivly I think we sold Top 6 with Porter leaving, although I can see it was business. We simply dont have a striker anymore. Sutton: Big target man, but we dont play for him, although he doesnt show he should be played at Murphy: might have talent, but dont know and he dint do anough this season to convince me YET! Clarkson: I dont know... simply dont like him, bc he is not a footballer! He doesnt deserve a place in a SPL team, simply bc of his lack of technical ability and goalscoring. What do you want MMcG to say??? We are scared of St.Mirren? Hibs do have the better chances? Then you would come out and ask for head as well, because he doesnt show any balls. Had a quick chat with Semih (in German obviously ;-)) and Semih told me he injured himself in Training... again. Out for 6 weeks at least. He wants to go down as he cant get settled here anyway due to the unlucky spell he is going through. He really seems to be a nice guy, but it didnt work out I guess, however I wish my fellow (Half-)Countryman all the best down in Birmingham!
