  1. Walked past Kerr in town yesterday ... He's some size of a lad! Alot broader than I thought he was when I saw him playing! What is his natural position anyway? Right back, centre half? I seem to remember him even playing right mid for us at one point last season.
  2. Glad to see Sutton back to replace Higdon. His last 6 months under McCall, he was excellent and if you get the supply into him he's definitely worth 15 goals a season. I seem to remember he was pretty handy at winning fouls during aerial challenges with defenders too ... Higgy wasn't quite so good at this We have a decent record of guys coming back to us and performing well so hopefully this is another one to add to the list of Hammell's, Lasley's, O'Donnell's and McFadden's.
  3. Just curious...why is everyone so keen for this friendly with Doncaster? Is there some link between the clubs I'm unaware of or something? Seems to be a lot of interest for a friendly with a bottom end championship team.
  4. Yea, he's just said ''Excited more players will be coming soon too'' on Twitter about 20 minutes ago. Doubt we'll hear anything else today as they would probably have done a double announcement but maybe before the end of the week we'll be able to rule out playing in a 7-a-side league next season
  5. Good news, Didn't see too much of County last season but what I did see, Vigurs was involved in the majority of it. Also like the line in the statement, 'Hoping to announce more signings soon'' ... seems there might be a few more arrivals (or contract renewals) being announced in the next wee while!

    Ojamaa

Totally agree with the last sentence there. In the statement released by the directors this morning it said we expect a small six figure loss, but one more round in the Scottish cup would have seen us make a small profit last season. If Ojamaa is sold for say 500-600k, which I don't think is unreasonably for a 21(?) year old international then that would surely offset any loss from last year and still allow the board to add to McCall's wage budget.
  7. Chuck in the 2 late goals conceded at Aberdeen and St Mirrens last minute equaliser at Fir Park near the start of the season and that's another 4 points added on! Squeaky bum would have been an understatement!
  8. Yea it was answered in the shout box..cheers anyway lads!
  9. Wondering if any computer/technical people can help? I tried to send the link of the SIWY end of season video to a guy I met in Germany at a football game who i traded scarves with etc and have kept in contact with but he cannot watch it due to GEMA rights?! Any idea what this is or if i can get round it so he can watch the video?
  10. Good luck to Humph! 100% effort every time he played which as a fan is what you ask for. We'll be hard pushed to find a winger with his pace and work ethic, particularly when it comes to tracking back. The amount of times he was our outball and completely changed the flow of our play from defence to attack in a matter of seconds will be a huge loss.
  11. Does anyone know when season tickets are available till? I don't start my new job till July and won't get paid untill the end of the month so it'll be start of August before I can get mine. Should be fine though eh?
  12. That one looks fantastic! Redesigning of the badge isn't something that ever crossed my mind but if the club were to look into it I'd be more than happy with that effort above!
  13. Christ!! I did actually eat some cheese last night about midnight when I got in from 7's!! I might munch some cheddar again tonight and see what other transfer rumors I can come up with! .. they'll probably more reliable than that rumor website that people keep posting links too!
  14. Wouldn't begrudge McCall getting a move to Sheffield at all. He's done fantastically well here and really other than a cup win has taken us as far as he can in my opinion. Will be hugely disappointed to see him go but wish him all the best if it goes through. Just hope that this news doesn't put off some of the guys re-signing for next season, but unfortunately I think it will. Edit: Had a dream Higgy moved to FC Copenhagen last night ... odd
  15. Yea its a cracking video! Took the missus to her first game yesterday ... She'd only been to see the club formerly known as Rangers a few times in their hospitality stuff before so wasn't sure how she would find the east stand but she loved it! Sounds daft for a 22 year old guy to say but I felt myself getting a tad emotional after the game yesterday, when all the players were celebrating with the fans, knowing that the most successful Motherwell team I have ever seen will be split up this year. A damn shame we couldn't have lifted a cup or got into the group stages of the Europa in the last few years to really have cemented this squads place in our history books. Although there's going to be a bit of an overhaul in the summer I'm looking forward to next season already and due to finishing uni I'll be able to get my first season ticket for 5 years
  16. Not too sure of it yet... I always seem to buy away tops and was looking to get the home top this year but I'll hold off and see if it grows on me. My first thought was that it looks like each piece has been taken from different kits and put together. I love the socks though

    Stuart Mccall

Decent day for the 'Well today! Staurt McCall Manager of the month, Nicky Law SPL player of the month and Craig Moore on loan at Cowdenbeath has won the SFL1 young player of the month. Well done to all and fully deserved...Our recent run has been fantastic and Law has been excellent. Can't say I've seen any of Moore but he's got five goals in six starts and it would have been 7 if the game against Partick hadn't been abandoned after he already had a brace.
  18. I think 4 points could be enough for Europe with hopefully Celtic taking points off the other teams and them cutting each others throats. 7 points will hopefully be enough to secure second as long as some of them, be it 1 or 3, come against ICT. Quite looking forward to the run in this year and I'm feeling strangely confident about our ability to finish 2nd which is dangerous.
  19. I'm keen to find out what the set up is going to be like going forward but to be honest I don't think its going to affect my decision in buying a season ticket for next year. Due to work commitments I've only been able to attend mid week games and the odd weekend game over the last 6 years but if I can blag myself a graduate job I'll be in a position where I'll be able to come along regularly again. I just want to get back to Fir Park every second weekend whether we're playing the likes of Celtic, Hibs and Dundee Utd or Thistle, Morton and Accies. Thats my day of studying oot the window now and I've been reading about reconstruction for the last hour.
  20. With a tonne of uni work etc over the last couple of months I've completely lost track with the debate surrounding the reconstruction but if there is no guaranteed relegation / promotion place then the 8x8x8 format is not something I would support. What exactly are the supporters of this format saying the attraction / motivation for fans and players of the middle 8 teams are after the splits? Really think I need to do some reading on this when my exams are over seeing as I might finally be in the position of having weekends off work for the first time in 6 years and will be able to buy a season ticket.
  21. The three points above are definitely things I support and would like the see them in place for next season. I'm still unsure why Doncaster and co. are adamant that it has to be 'all or nothing' in regards to the points above and league reconstruction though.
  22. I'm sure I read the other day that Dayton has accepted a 3 year extension at Killie as well. Wouldn't say no to Sampson if Randolph leaves and Doran, Vigurs or McGowan if Law is away. Really hope Higgy signs on again though and a certian Mr McFadden pens a wee one year deal.
  23. Everyone is focusing on what players might leave or stay due to being out of contract in the summer but does anyone think we might have a transfer offer or two to consider? I'm thinking hutchy and Henrik specifically. Any chance of Lech Poznan coming back in for Henrik after there reported interest in January? Or a a lower championship side looking at Hutch? Just a thought.
  24. Exactly why I'm not a fan of the split. To be fair though, it's at least provided some excitement over the last couple of weeks. With Celtic and Dundee clear at either end of the table it could have been a bit depressing if the top and bottom 6 were virtually decided already as well.
  25. Think there's a real good chance that could happen again this year. I'm not a fan of the split for that reason, if we ever lose out on say 3 places of prize money and maybe a European trip because we're 1 goal on GD away from the top 6 and end up ahead of a few teams I'd be fuming.
