McGhee's first season as well, we only used 13 players until December.
We got fucked in the ass for that second season though when the injuries kicked in. It's a dangerous game running with such a small squad, but the financial climate dictates it, and most of our top of the bottom 6 rivals are in the same boat. Youth is the only way forward I think

We've been really lucky with this draw. Odense were pretty much the weakest seeds in there, and a lot of non-seeds will be very envious that we've drawn them. In fact, I think they were only seeded due to other seeds being knocked out.
Not that we have any more than a slim chance of progression, but it's good to have that slim chance. We could have been in for a very disappointing time against a real big gun, especially if the first leg had been drawn away.

Love the way they're advertising this like it's some kind of coup, and they're doing the country a big favour. Should be taken as read that Scottish clubs' euro games should be on Radio Scotland at the very least ffs. Outrageous that the away leg wasn't covered, yet the game at Breidablik was covered on TV/Internet by some Icelandic mob, and the Norwegian game was on Norwegian telly.

Yeah I'm highly suspicious of that Spanish to be honest. Smacks of straight internet translation, especially the "id" which would be a typo of "if" in the original English.
Quality work though, and what an effort from someone.

Yeah that much is true. I looked up the Norwegian word for goal which is 'Mål', I'm just listening for that plus them shouting a name. Although my plan is flawed as I don't know how that word is pronounced.
Think the å is pronounced aw, like moll.

Yeah I tried the proxy it doesn't work because it's not just a straight stream hing but wants to load the program.
Think Norwegian radio and twitter is the best we can do.

Pretty sure it's 90k euros per qualifying round, 1 mil (I think but now I type it seems a bit much) to reach group stages, and then various monies awarded depending on results there.

According to someone on P&B, they beat Valerenga - 2nd in league - yesterday (apologies if it's been mentioned, haven't read right through the thread.
Must have seen the game somehow and here's what he had to say
Aalesund 1 - 0 VålerangaAs a previous poster mentioned, Våleranga are 2nd in the league and this result looks good however the scoreline does not refelct the match at all. Våleranga controlled the match from the start and missed several opportunities to take the lead. Aalesund were shaky at the back throughout and went behind but the goal was chalked off due to an accidental handball. Aalesund rode their luck and, to my astonishment, grabbed a winner at the end thanks to a goalkeeping error.
There are a lot of positives to take from this performance from a Well point of view.

Well we're seeded and they're not, so they're obviously not going to be favourites to beat them.
If we can get through this tie, we'll have done our bit for the Scottish co-efficient. So despite the fact that the teams could will be pretty evenly matched (and there is no easy game for Motherwell as we all know), on paper, being seeds, we should progress. Here's hoping.
