  1. Aye, leave the kilts at home and go for the Stone Island option..... If folk want to wear a kilt, then what's the problem with it?
  2. Well, if clubs are banging our door down in a year's time to entice our manager away again, then he will have done something right. I'd love a manager to be successful with us, stay and build on it - but it simply won't happen. Anyway, can we at least give any new manager the chance to actually be appointed before questioning his loyalty?!
  3. I think we have enough in the tank, with the 3 players departed (if they all do actually leave of course) to see us through this round. After that, it's imperitive that we have a new manager making signings to strengthen the squad. This Europa League campaign is effectively our warm up games, so if we drop out then it'll be some hastily arranged matches to replace them..... We'll take it seriously.
  4. Ex-Hearts player though!! High calibre of applicants and I'd be happy with any of them......
  5. Balls! There were a number of criteria that we satisfied, and the discipline was only a small part of that. The club wanted Europe, so they will be taking it seriously. You yourself have slated Llanelli, so we'll beat them with what we have apparently
  6. Ok, I should maybe have read exactly what you said!! I don't think it's as bleak, yet, as is being painted by some though. If we're sitting a few days before the start of the season in this situation then I'll panic.
  7. I agree with that logic, elsewhere though you seem to think that the selling of these guys heralds an impending relegation?!
  8. I think it's extremely premature for such severe pessimism - we're well over a month away from the start of the season and folk are writing off said season before a ball is kicked, the new manager has been confirmed and the new manager had made any signings? It's concerning that we have no manager and a paper thin squad, but it's not as if this is the eve of the new season. There has hardly been any signing activity so we're not alone in not recruiting new talent just now. Give the new manager a chance to add to the squad before you write the season off - you may find the season doesn't need to be written off.
  9. Aye, he offered them all contracts. McLean as well........
  10. As a former stalwart of Livingston kickabouts, it was 'seven and bye' on my patch!!
  11. Just watched that goal - didn't realise it was that arsehole Bougherra that he dinked the ball over. Sweet.

I think I'd be correct in saying that the hoop had to be done that way to allow the numbers to be printed on.... Not sure about the rest though!
  13. You are probably correct, but to play devil's advocate - Stewart Robertson may have contacted Gary McAlister, he just said John Boyle hasn't spoken to him.....

Who has decided the squad numbers then?!
  15. John Boyle was interviewed on Sky Sports there about the Europa League draw, when asked about new manager he reiterated that things will be done in a 'timely manner' and said we should have a new manager in 'a week or so'.......
  16. I didn't immediately click with that..... No, it was Ben Gordon - my girlfriend's brother played with Ben for Strathclyde Uni.
  17. Who do you think it was?
  18. Aye, their centre half highly recommends him as well!! The sooner we get a manager appointed the better from the perspective of getting new players in and also convincing the players we actually have to stay put.....
  19. Surely the section of our support who wear the more 'casual' attire would be delighted with Steve Staunton - someone who'd have SS emblazoned on his training gear
  20. There's nothing on their website about it - well, I couldn't find it!! I reckon Staunton would be a decent appointment though. That said, I don't care who gets the job as long as they get results.
  21. In which case, my parents have yet to receive their reminder letter with less than 2 weeks to actually reserve their seat.......
  22. If we win our first game against Aberdeen at Fir Park, it'll be a pretty hostile atmosphere. If we lose I'd suggest it'll be a bit more towards the indifferent side!
  23. I thought he was putting your name forward
  24. Voted yes. Only because I think the longer this goes on, the more likely it is that he will be back. If he's determined to get a big job by getting success at Motherwell then we both win, and I reckon we're better with him the ranks shooting out than shooting at us from Aberdeen.
  25. What about the paint on the steps though?!
