It'll be interesting to hear what those at the game think.
  3. A clean sheet away from home and still unbeaten.
  4. Even Scott Davie has been less objectionable than usual.
  5. Let's hope we hold on. A point at Pittodrie is decent. Sounds as if we've fallen away quite badly in the second half.
  6. Another chance for Sutton. Looks like Gannon has spotted a weakness in the Dons' defence. Pity we've not been able to exploit it so far. 0-0 at half-time.
  7. I really hope Slane is fit for this one. Not to sure why Gannon brought him on last week, the game was won and judging by team news on the BBC he sounds unlikely to make it tomorrow. Obviously he may have been injured in training during the week. Anyway,I'm strangely confident about this one, reckon we'll win but no doubt it will be tight. The first goal is crucial I think. Go 1-0 up and hopefully the Dandies will turn against their lot.
  8. Good to hear that Gannon is still chasing players. I'd be delighted if we can get cover/competition for the right-back spot. Sounds like his original target was a Premiership youngster or a player who didn't fancy the SPL too much. Nice to see him give Murphy a bit of praise as well at the end of the interview. I'm still hopeful he can progress and become a key player for us.
  9. I think right back would be the easiest position to improve on what we have although both Hateley and Saunders have been fine so far.
  10. So, would people be happy with a right back to complete our summer spree or does anybody think further depth is needed?

Klimpl? I'd clean forgotten about him. Anyone know where he is? Cardiff didn't fancy him at all. I fear that 6 month loan deals will only become more common in Scotland.

Hahaha. Very true. I thought they bred them tough down in the Pennines as well. He does follow the above comment by saying the lad is better than Keigan Parker.

Welcome aboard Lukas. As others have said he must have something about him for Everton to pay £1 million to secure his signature. However, a quick troll around the teams he as played for isn't encouraging. Everton had a massive striker crisis last season and they still punted him on loan. Here's what a Huddersfield fan blog made of him: "So far, he hasn’t impressed. Instead of using his height in the box getting on the end of all those yummy crosses and making himself a nuisance for opposition defenders, Lukas seems to waft around the pitch like a paper bag in the wind. He tries less than Phil Jevons, which I didn’t actually think was possible without pulling the Huddersfield shirt off and donning one of the opposition. He also hasn’t scored a goal in nearly two years of professional football. What. The. Fuck. Did. We. Sign. Him. For?" Still, only a six month loan so the risk factor is reduced.
  15. I would be pleased with the signing of Buchanan. I take it he would cost some kind of fee?
  16. He probably just reads this forum and tells folk what they want to hear....
  17. Shannon was a good player. Not very showy but dependable. he shouldn't even be in a discussion about the worst ever right-backs at Motherwell, let alone the worst ever player.
  18. A late Martyn Corrigan strike against St.Johnstone to keep us in the hunt for Europe in 2000. Sort of half volley across the 'keeper if I remember. Ian Ross from a Tommy Coyne cross against the dims at Fir Park. Doubly sweet as they equalised past Jamie Dolan shortly before. Not a winner but a John Spencer goal at a rainy Easter Road was nice. 2-2 it finished. McGarry scored a late goal to sink Partick Thistle in the Legaue Cup a few seasons back. Saved our blushes after being 2-0 up. On reflection,it was a sign of things to come under Malpas.
  19. I'd be delighted if we get Jay Simpson from Arsenal but I expect any loan signings to be less well-known players.
