Must get another man in midfield BEFORE it’s 0-2 and stop passing it about at the back, not the pitch for it nor the players.

What a list of missing players Carson, O’Donnell, Grimshaw, Mugabi, Gallagher, Campbell, Donnelly, Ohara and Lawless. Most of them first 11 starters! That’s not to mention Foley, Nolan, Seedorf and Smith....
I fear the worst. Front 3 and Kelly will need to be on top form to get anything. Would bite your hand off for a point.

So hard to predict what Motherwell we’ll see from one week to the next or even one half to the next!
With no confidence in any of these being right I’d go with the following:
St Johnstone 1-1 (1 point)
St Mirren 1-2 (3 points)
Hibs 2-0 (0 points)
Livvy 1-0 (3 points)
Killie 1-0 (0 points)
Strangely enough I think we’re more likely to beat St Mirren and Livi than St Johnstone and Killie, which admittedly is a bit odd given league positions!

Thought Mugabi was immense tonight, along with Lamie. Mentions also for Kelly and Watt. Midfield is a concern.......

What a win that was! To play so poorly and win is remarkable. Beat Accies on Saturday and I think we can start looking up!
Alexander is either really good or really lucky! Hope it’s both, but time will tell! Can’t say I’m loving the tactic of standing off wide players and letting them sling it in our box and back us to win the header every time, but it’s worked in a few games so far to be fair.

Expressing concerns about a players record (or lack of) is not to say he won’t be given a chance. Two different things.

The “and” is that the strong likelihood is that if they’re not good enough for these clubs they’re highly unlikely to help us start climbing the table. But time will tell....
Desperately hoping Gallagher is still a Well player by midnight otherwise I fear we’re in deep deep trouble.

We’ve been poor and could easily have been 2 or 3 down before we eventually came into it. But the handballs a stone waller, how the 2 on commentary missed it completely I’ll never know. Then as some have said the ball doesn’t go anywhere near out from the pictures I’ve seen for the one Cole rolls in.
Conspiracy theories will be rife if Gallagher gets sent off 1 game away from triggering a contract extension!
Seedorf is a man down most of the time I’m afraid. Let’s hope he’s replaced before it’s 2-0.

Well pleased with that today, as I really did fear the worst!
Not just the point but the heart and desire to keep Rangers out after the equaliser. We've all seen us repeatedly fold after losing an equalising goal to one of the old firm.
2 or 3 point from the next 2 games and a couple of new faces in and I think we'll be ok.

Can’t remember being quite this pessimistic heading into a game.
Hope I’m wrong but 3 forwards (including Seedorf) against Rangers is madness and really asking for a skelping. With Crawford & Polworth in midfield, we better hope wee Alan plays out his skin.

Totally agree but the only other viable option is Ohara alongside Gallagher and I think we need him in the middle of the park to complete.

Might be pessimistic but I think it’s damage limitation tomorrow I’m afraid. Both County and Accies have far worse goal difference than us, let’s hope we keep it that way.
I’d go with a 4-4-1-1 Kelly, O’Donnell, Gallagher, Mugabi, Carroll, Lawless, Ohara, Campbell, Polworth, Watt, Cole

Also, we should deffo be noisily demanding one of these games (Killie or Saints) is played at the end of the month in the free Scottish Cup slot. Not a chance we should have a free weekend whilst Killie and Saints are allowed to pull games forward before these outstanding games are played.

I’d love to say it’s an unbelievable verdict but nothing should surprise us in Scottish football.
Admit to COVID breaches and get a 10k fine rather than play a reserve team and almost certainly give up 3 points, I know which I’d choose! Bet Celtic are raging they bothered to play a weakened team earlier this week, the 10k fine would be far preferable, especially for a club with their finances.
As some have said we need to try and use this to our advantage, to motivate the team into getting themselves out of the shit that we are most definitely in!
