  1. A good answer to the Tony Watt for Scotland question.
  2. McGinley deserves another chance. He was poor last season but I'm sure Alexander has told him what he wants to see from him. For me he was too passive as a defender and needs to stop backing off players and be more physical. The last time we played Aberdeen with fans at Fir Park was nearly two years ago. Obviously both clubs have new managers but even on the playing side there is only Grimmy and Maguire in contention for us and Lewis, Considine and McGinn for them. That definitely makes the game more interesting and Gallagher and Brown in their team should add a good bit of spite to the atmosphere.
  3. Donnelly not in the squad tonight for NI despite starting against Estonia. Is he injured again?
  4. Big Bevis as a flying fullback again on Saturday.
  5. What service are you currently lacking?
  6. It's a big change for the way our country works and there is no guarantee its use won't be expanded to other venues or areas. It also seems unlikely to make any difference to Covid totals. Around 2% of the populatiom attend football at the weekend. Limiting the movements of the >0.4 population who may be refused entry isn't going to make much difference overall and a fair whack of them will just go to another unventilated public place anyway. The 'gun to the head' chat is ridiculous. I've been to Fir Park twice and I didn't see anyone who looked like they were unduly concerned about the pandemic.
  7. Unless you are related to Sturgeon I think you are taking this a bit too seriously.
  8. I guess it's Wee Nippy from now on. Sorry guys.
  9. There's no requirement to play the same system against the Old Firm as we do St Mirren. Or Livi on grass the same as the plastic. We might mix it up.
  10. Given that Johansen is on a three year deal and left a high wage country to move here I don't think we signed him to back up Lamie. Alexander was hyping him up in one of the press conferences and was generally talking about signing players for the starting 11.
  11. Nicola Sturgeon has announced this afternoon that Vaccine Passports will be required at events with a capacity of over 10,000 people which presumably means our home games. A huge hassle for the clubs to deal with and fuck knows how they are supposed to determine that the person is using a legitimate QR code and not a screenshot of someone else's.
  12. Roberts was a big part of our upturn last season. Attitude and commitment was superb so I think he will deliver again. As said above him Watt and KVV has potential.
  13. A shambles from the SFA if they didn't know the rules in Denmark until today despite obviously knowing O'Donnell's situation for near enough a fortnight.
  14. Lamie has been mainly ok this season but he has a howler in him almost every game. Almost gave away a goal then beat for the headed goal at Dundee. Poor at the Livi goal. Almost cost us being turned by Cummings a few times on Saturday. Gillespie, Hartley and Gallagher gave us a strong platform to get up into third position a couple of years ago. Alexander will be hoping Kelly, Ojala and Johansen can have the same impact.
  15. SOD not on the plane to Denmark..... Kevin Nisbet bailed as well.
  16. Collum wiggled his head about like he had spotted a pound coin in the grass ten yards away. He was still doing it a couple of seconds after the tackle, fuck knows what he thought he was going to see then.
  17. O'Donnell is in photos of Scotland training today and Clarke hasn't called up anyone else despite Patterson being unavailable on Saturday so he is presumably pencilled in as starting at RWB with no fitness doubts. Will Sunderland come in for him tomorrow?
  18. We had Van Veen up front in the Hibs game. Watt had a good game on Saturday but didn't link play and when he did manage to hold the ball up it usually ended up in a free kick to us rather than an attack. Hopefully we have everyone available for Aberdeen and show a bit more with the ball. I'm already looking forward to the game and the East Stand giving Gallagher and Brown a warm welcome. With Bates, Longstaff and Ramirez in they have a decent team on paper so it will be a good test for us.
  19. I'll always remember big Sieb for a midweek win against Rangers at Fir Park when he was on top form.
  20. He's a lot better than Seedorf. Our attacking play hasn't clicked yet but we are still scoring and making chances.
  21. Ojala was superb yesterday. I was worried about him after watching him on the streams but yesterday he was dominant in every contest and his positioning and reading of the game showed why he's captained his country. It wasn't the best performance yesterday but as I've said before I don't think people appreciate how much rot had set in under Robinson. We are still rebuilding and hopefully with another couple of signings and work in the training pitch we will use the ball better.
  22. I thought against Hibs Van Veen dropping deep combined with Woolery's pace to get in behind caused their defensive line a lot of problems. Watt was quiet that day but has found his form so I think the three of them together will cause teams problems with their movement.
  23. Swedish playing in Norway Right now this looks like our first 11. I'll put Ojala and Johansen as starters because I doubt we are planning on paying them to sit on the bench. Kelly SoD Ojala Johansen Carroll Slattery O'Hara Goss Woolery KVV Watt It has definite potential if they click.
