Two midfielders is an absolute necessity. We are currently paying the price for Burrows and Robinson running a football club like a game of Bargain Hunt for years and signing 5 duds in the hope of selling one. The Chief Executive needs to get bodies in and the manager needs to make clear which players aren't good enough. Robbie Crawford must be up for grabs considering he can't get an appearance at the moment.

The game has changed though with centrehalves being on the ball a lot more and more building out the back and facing different defensive shapes and presses. I'm looking forward to us playing St Mirren so we can get the benefit of Dunne's inability to pass for a change. Going back a fair bit longer I remember the Dortmund match at Fir Park as a kid and it felt like Sammer and the Dortmund defence were cheating knocking the ball about on the halfway line. I had never seen that before.

I'd say we need a striker and one or two midfielders dependent on whether O'Hara has a return date. We should be looking to punt Lawless if at all possible.

I'm quite happy with that. I don't think we could have done much more with Mugabi, Donnelly and Slattery all lacking games and no bench. Plenty of positives.

I expect there will be 7 or 8 players I've never seen play for us at a game today. From the likely squad I've only seen Donnelly, Maguire, Mugabi and Watt. Can't wait to get back into Fir Park.
