kilmarnock, aberdeen, dundee united, hibs and hearts have all gave their young players a chance this season. there was no way we were going to give anyone a debut today.
-
the only partick thistle fan in viewpark and at holy cross, it must have been a hard life
-
the effort was there from faddy but i thought he was poor. He was talking about getting a big move in the paper today, the guy is deluded. Lasley and hutchy stood out for me again. This season so far has been a war of attrition and 7 guys have dragged us through it.
-
he didn't put the ball out in the first game when carswell was down injured, clattered lasley early in the second game and did the same again today. The game after he scored the overheard he was a sub at dundee and spent halftime sitting in the dugout bouncing a ball. He obviously came up to try and revive his career and feels he was treated unfairly, he probably blames us for being stuck at thistle.
-
hibs taking off riordan for kevin mcbride in the 6-6 game was the worst substitution ever.
-
sutton is one of our players of the season and our top scorer, he has to play. he was rested at thistle due to having 4 games in 10 days. now we've had 3 weeks rest we should be playing the best players available and hoepfully we will improve as the games get progressively harder as the month goes on.
-
sutton and anier up front. Sutton was superb against aberdeen and it's fair to say mcfadden wasn't.
-
i can't see it. the big clubs and their fans are used to being successful, every team that goes into a euro league can't win it or challenge so i don't see it being appealing for big clubs to put themselves into a position where they might be scrambling about mid table every season.
-
they've lost a week due to the world cup which accounts for the midweek game in march. we should really have had a game at the weekend there and another one this weekend but we'll just need to deal with watching the rugby.
-
i don't see how it's a shambles, the game has to be played. it's a long journey but plenty of teams down south make similar trips on a regular basis. there's 2000 sheffield united fans in london for the game tonight. there will be a midweek fixture post split as well.
-
it's only man u though so we're not missing much.
-
the friday night fixture against united means we've an extra days rest before the st johnstone game. for the inverness game at home they'll be playing in the cup final on the sunday while we'll have the weekend off so that should give us a decent advantage as well. we also have hibs away on the 26th of march so that'll be 3 midweek games in a row.

get a lasley table and fill it with celtic fans.
-
the five nil was billy davies' first game in charge. George o'boyle scored from the halfway line. We beat rangers in our next game so it was quickly forgotten. There was a year we played killie in the scottish cup on the saturday and i walked into the ground just as kris boyd was putting them two nil up. We went back down there on the wednesday for one of the worst games ever with barely a shot until dubourdeaux decided to give away a penalty by punching a killie player while holding the ball. The next game after the 2005 league cup final was grim. Away to inverness midweek and they had the game wrapped up in 20 minutes. One of those games where you wonder stupid you must be to have travelled 500 miles for it.
-
aberdeen and ict are our main rivals for europe so hopefully them both having the final to look forward to as well as the scottish cup will lead to points being dropped. Our two recent cup finals definitely effected our league performance. Aberdeen celtic should be a good game at the weekend. If celtic lose that's their season effectively finished and with the aberdeen fans hassling lennon, the final being at parkhead and a potential old firm game the tims will be right up for it.

if the qualifiers were regionalised we wouldn't have been to bucharest or even valencia and they were both great trips. we would probably be stuck in with iceland, the faroes, the 3 other british leagues, the irish, the 3 scandis, the finns and the benelux countries. i've got my heart set on drawing a team from croatia or istanbul at some point.
-
if the offer hasn't come in yet will it ever? the league is on the slide to the extent where stevie may and billy mckay can score 17 by january and no one is interested. why sign a contract to wait for a bid coming in when he could be a free agent in the summer which makes him more attractive to clubs down south?
-
i heard that but i didn't believe it. hutchy has been a long time and he'll be the same as every other player we've had in the bosman era when a good offer comes in.
-
i don't think we are downsizing, the cost of anier and ainsworth increased so we moved bob and cummins out on loan to balance the books. if we lost 180k last season then you would expect it to me much worse this season with no cup income and less euro money plus no league sponsorship. there will be room for missteps like 2 year deals for mchugh and cummins and the likes of nielsen, mcfadden and lawson.
-
could they actually change it during the season though without unanimous agreement? it would be good to know where we stand this season.
-
celtic were assured of their league position and had champions league income so were financially secure. the other teams including us lost far more than they were expecting to and the league was extremely tight up until febraury (see ross county going from 11th to top six) so they decided to play it safe and boost every position.
-
does the 22% (800?) not apply to the full society members as a percentage of season ticket holders?
-
it's actually not that bad a result considering the rangers situation and the shite cup runs. i would expect this year will be far worse. the club are looking for more well society investment which is fair enough but are they doing anything to get a fairer split of prize money and voting rights? if rangers come back into the league with the same 11-1 rules in place it will be a disgrace.
-
it was straight at him. catching it would my suggestion.
-
maybe next year the players won't go for a piss up in dublin the weekend before the cup tie.
