how many pen pushers are there? so fuck the wee teams? who are clubs like montrose or albion rovers hurting? the people that run them, their players and their fans obviously enjoy what they're doing so why not leave them to it.

except from saving a wee bit of money on admin what do people think would actually be achieved by merging the sfl and spl? if there was to be a merger what kind of voting situation would people want to be used in the merged set up, would all 42 clubs have an equal vote on all matters? the clue is in the name, scottish football association. the sfa are the governing body for all the various groups that run football competitions in scotland, merging it all into one would mean that all decisions would be made centrally rather than the east of scotland, spl or highland making their own decisions based on what is best for their clubs. england has almost exactly the same set up as scotland except they have an extra body controlling the senior england team and it doesn't seem to be be causing them too many problems. all that will be achieved by rearranging the governing bodies will be some schadenfruede for people who resent the current system. you hear plenty of talk about the need for reorganisation but very little of what tangible improvement we'd get due to streamlining. rather than constantly shouting we need change i'd be more interested to hear what improvements people want to see. mcleish is a diddy and his report is only good for toilet paper. doncaster and the old firm have presented their plans and it's clear they believe that the strongest senior clubs should be the focus of attention and screw everyone else. we all get annoyed when old firm fans think scottish football exists for them only but the working group our club has been involved with has shown a similar to disrespect to sfl clubs with the idea of making some of them play against b teams and regionalising others without asking. i personally think the sfa should be run in a way that is equally fair to all the leagues in the country and that the leagues should be free to control their own destiny without central interference.

why? most people got to watch their own team not the opposition. due to the split we play teams at different frequencies, the celtic game in august and the aberdeen game in september were only the 2nd visit of these clubs in 18 months and it didn't boost the attendance at all. i don't think how often we play teams is a huge factor in attendance. if you look at the problems st mirren and accies have in putting a decent team on the park then you have to conclude that adding another six teams with similar or, more likely, less resources plus cutting the resources of every other team would be madness. more teams in the league would result in more teams playing in the stlye of accies and midden.

i'll be massively disapointed if we end up with stubbs, mccall or sutton. they've all done heehaw in management and have nothing going for them except OF name recognition. appointing stubbs would be a recipe for disaster, we'd only ever be a short bad spell away from a maplas style fans revolt. appointing someone the fans are unlikely ever to accept is a terrible idea, you'd be as well bringing mcghee back.

just saw on tv that the sfa might ask jenno for his phone. i'd tell them to gtf even if i had nothing to hide. would be hearing anything about this if say jenno had took a head knock and got subbed after an hour and no one got sent off? would we fuck, bets are only unusual if they win. four grand is fuck all, major bookies rigging sp odds is a bigger scandal but we hear zero about that.
-
they just said on radio scotland that the odds were 10/1 in game on a red card! i'd have took that after watching the first five minutes plus the knowledge that hearts average 10 red cards a season.

on the ref. when lasley he scored he was over quick as a flash pulling our players away from the east stand. when kyle scored he was in the exact same place gesturing at the east yet the ref stayed well away. when he stopped the game after the free kick fiasco he let hearts take a free kick from where the ball was when play stopped. yet when jenno got sent off he let them take it from the spot of of the dissent. the guy didn't have a clue. edit - did no one else think kyle fouled reynolds at the first goal?
-
stv just said the bets were made in liverpool in match. it's probably as simple as jenno's mates watching the game, seeing him getting booked early and betting on him to get another.

south or north hampton?

is the most likely scenario with blackman not that he gets sold to a championship team in the window? surely the only way blackburn would keep him on loan would be if he signed a new deal. i doubt he'll be here. saunders, no chance. jennings. i expect he'll head back down south at the end of the season. gow, we should just leave him at pittodrie on saturday.
-
its two different rules. if you break either one of them you're in the wrong, that's surely not that difficult to understand. so aye you're still talking shite. are brown and milne going to go up in front of the sfa and say "yes we met on the tuesday but we never discussed craig becoming aberdeen manager". they'd be laughing stocks and the sfa would hammer them just for the bare faced cheek. i'm sure the bbc website is full of quotes from brown describing exactly what happened, i'll try and find some when i get back in later.
-
nae bother jonny cochrane. a lawyer would be told they're talking shite as well. at least lawyers get paid a fortune to talk about absolute balls, you just seem to do it for free. H3 No Club shall directly or indirectly induce or attempt to induce any employee of another Club to terminate a contract of employment with that other Club (whether or not by breach of that contract) or directly or indirectly approach any such employee with a view to offering employment without the consent of that other Club. For the purpose of this Rule H3, "Club" means a member club of the SFA. aberdeen have meeting with brown in glasgow on tuesday without asking motherwell. on thursday night he resigns. on firday he becomes aberdeen manager. anyone with a brain can see they induced him to terminate his contract of employment.

1. it's a breach of spl rules because they discussed a job with him without informing us. how hard is that to understand? 2. brown pretty much outline exactly what happened in the media so it'd be hard to lie now. 3. it's not the same as bhs and primark. the spl is one company made up of it's member clubs and there are rules governing situations like this. hippo is 100% correct, just repeat what he says and you won't look like a diddy.

hearts had eggert jonnson and ruben palazeous at full back yesterday and the pair of them are as slow as a week in the jail. we've played them off the park the last five times we've came up against them so we should have a go rather than giving them too much respect. we all saw what we did to a slow st johnstone defence a month ago and that should be what we're aiming for again. i've seen a few people worrying about skacel but humphrey vs palazevous is as big a mismatch as you'll see all season and we should be looking to exploit it. the three weeks rest will hopefully have recharged the batteries and we can get back to the high tempo football we saw at the start of the season randy hateley craigan reynolds hammell humphrey lasley jennings murphy sutton blackman
-
i think he gave himself away with that recently on P&B when he described his weekend habits. considering they managed to get the juke and ruddy sorted last season i'm sure they'll be trying the same thing with blackman. gow's wage could well be used to fill a position we're not as well supplied in.

dempster asked to talk to gannon about something after the st johnstone game and gannon told her to fuck off and walked away. that was supposedly the straw that broke the camel's back. i thought that was quite commonly known. wellayshire who used to post on here but right now may be in a brazilain prison sat with dempster and boyle on the train to the inverness cup game and got the inside scoop from them.
-
this should make him realise that he'll have a much tougher job at pittodrie than he did at fir park. we got beat there on the 30th of december last year but we dominated the game, showed character and skill and the team were cheered off the park by the fans. aberdeen on the other hand have been their usual dog turd self.
-
surely the club would have been smart enough to give gannon a notice period and put him on gardening leave. or gross misconduct him for telling dempster to fuck off after the st johnstone game.

3 nil to the jambos. if it stays the same aberdeen are bottom

anyone else looking out their window at nae snow quite pissed off they're not on their to dundee? this is the second saturday in a row this has happened, a fucking joke. to be fair it might be worse up in dundee but the fact the celtic game is off is a farce.

lee richardson in the betting! dirty bastard.

i can't believe there's people on this thread who want yogi.

you're going to die in the first division, die in the first division!

blackman should be the main priority. possibly more important than a new manager. gow is only blocking jamie murphy's development and imo is nowhere near as good a player as jamie already is. plus he's a super jonah, every club he goes to hit the shitters. and we've been in the ridiculous situation of having six strikers in the match day squad. he should be allowed to move on. fitzy could do a job but at the same time should we be extending the contract of someone who has only started 3 games in 18 months? halsman, meechan and innes should be given a chance to provide cover. we need one or two players who can come in and be first team players at left mid and centre mid. to get them we need to free up wages.
