Just a normal fan with access to GPS stats joining to talk about Riki Lamie..... Lamie cost us goals against Livingston and Dundee and then almost let Dundee back in it at Fir Park getting turned twice. He's had a few decent games since then but also a nightmare up at Dens again.
-
Lamie is pish. He had a few good games but has made plenty of mistakes in his limited game time this season.
-
You could tell from his reaction to missing the first chance that we were going to get heehaw out him today. Hopefully he picks on up Tuesday night.
-
The club has had 40 days to find a replacement for Tony Watt. If we don't bring in a number 9 who is more reliable than KVV or a player to go straight into the team who can link midfield to attack and create we are in for a painful end to the season.
-
Who do you think is a stick on to overtake us?
-
We are just missing anyone in the final third who can control the ball and play a pass.
-
Two goals from Shaw losing the ball.
-
He's got 8 goals and the rest of the team has 2. That's probably got something to do with it. Those were two bad misses but we don't have anyone else who even gets an opportunity to miss.
-
Very poor. McGinley had loads of time and played a shite pass putting Shaw under pressure. Shaw made a bad decision and lost it. Goss should have cleared.
-
It was a pass back. He gets away with handling outside the box every game.
-
What level in Greece?
-
The Hearts line up has four new players in it which might work to our advantage. Two Aussies, a loanee from Bristol City and the new striker from Everton.
-
That team looks more threatening than the one on Wednesday.
-
4 goals in 45 appearances for Efford in Belgium. He'll fit right in with Woolery, Shields and Roberts.
-
Carroll has been fine at centre half. 30 minutes at Hibs no goals conceded. Solid at Celtic Park and not to blame for the goal and no shots on target versus Hibs. I'd bring Ojala back for the Celtic game.
-
There's no point in playing three up top when we have no cohesion going forward. I'd drop Shields and obviously Donnelly and bring in Shaw and Slattery. Line up with a lopsided 4-2-3-1 and try to attack down our right. Kelly SOD Sol Carroll McGinley Shaw Maguire Roberts Slattery Goss KVV

So there are rumours about Mugabi moving to Aberdeen or Hearts enabling Souttar and/or Gallagher to move. Big Victor looks like a Mugabi replacement so there might be something in it. If we get two transfer fees from rivals and two wages off the books we should have the budget for a decent attacker or two. If Hibs want to move Murphy on I think he could do a good job linking the midfield and the attack which is where we are struggling right now.

A decent point but the game was there for the taking and it seemed like we were going to push for the win with our subs until Donnelly's stupidity. It's a point gained on Hearts and Aberdeen this week. Our attack is toothless at the moment and we need a new striker. I doubt Connor Shields would start for anyone else in the league and he's been miles off the standard the past two games. That should be a Polworth moment for Donnelly, he's not fit enough to play the holding role and he's too poor on the ball for the position he's played the last three games. Good luck at your next club Liam. GA needs to get more out the bench. 66 minutes for Shields, was anyone thinking after 55 we need another 11 minutes of what he was bringing? Donnelly totally ineffective, towing a caravan and on a yellow, he could have came off any time in the 15 minutes before he got himself sent off. If Plan A results in 2 shots on target we need a plan B. The positives were the defence was solid and Carroll looks comfortable. Maguire is immense without the ball it's just a shame he's not better on it. Shaun Maloney is like a mini Gannon trying to get Hibs to score the perfect goal playing out the back despite it being about 1000-1 shot of coming off. That's 1 goal in three games verus Celtic, Cove and us and no shots on target last night in front of a decent away support. They got good money for Boyle but they will find it hard to replace him and I can see their fans not having much patience with Maloney's tactics if they don't get a result soon.
-
Donnelly hasn't played against the Old Firm, Aberdeen and Hearts. I don't think you can compare them at this point. Hopefully we make more passes tonight than we usually do.
-
I looked for this the other day but Whoscored.com doesn't collect stats for cup games. It felt like Donnelly went about 30 minutes in the second half without a successful pass.
-
Alexander has worked with him before so he's not going to be a total diddy but playing in Vietnam and Malaysia is very different to playing in the Premiership. Bevis disappearing at the weekend and now this raises some questions.
-
So there should be no checks tomorrow. The guy hounding Burrows on Twitter about the club not doing enough checks is going to be raging.
-
Hopefully we will be at full strength tomorrow. Slattery has had probably his two best games against Hibs so if he's fit start him. McGinley offers so little in attack and is a liability in defence so get him dropped. Kelly SOD Sol Ojala Carroll Slattery Maguire Goss Woolery KVV Roberts We only made 2 changes before we went behind on Saturday which was pretty stupid. GA has five subs tomorrow and he needs to get a positive impact from the bench.
-
If yesterday was a trial run to see how we play without KVV starting then you would have to think Alexander will desperate to get another striker in as that front three did not work together at all.
-
We were shocking. Our tactics in the first half involved having McGinley as a main attacker. Two midfielders either standing on the touchline or doing nothing plus Maguire trying to play. No attacking threat through the middle
