  3. The matchday experience is pish. What are other leagues doing differently though?

    Catering

Whats the catering like in the Cooper? I sat in there for the first time in years at the St Johnstone game and the queues didn't seem bad and my mate got a pie about 10 minutes into the second half I think.
  5. Theres not much between a lot of teams in the SPL and O'Brien, when playing well, can be that difference I reckon. I think he's more likely to go rather than stay to be honest.
  6. If anyone knows of any families (or parent and kid, grandparent and kid etc) who have rarely or never been to Fir Park before who would fancy a free day out to the Hamilton game then please have a look at this link from the official site - Calling all families Contact details are on the page! Thanks!

    Catering

You mean the pub refused to sell you a soft drink alternative?
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...rem/6359413.stm Heres the link to the radio feed. Edit: oops too late
  9. Is there any chance of a live feed or is the radio all we can hope for? chockin' to go to this but I canne afford it with Hogmanay tomorrow.
  10. I think there are 2 reasons people still think its ok - we're all used to it now (I've been sitting in it for about 12 years) and wouldn't have it any other way and because of the romanticism of old football ground which we pride in being a million miles away from the Man Utd and Newcastle stadiums. Personally, I think it’s a dump but I wouldnae sit in any other stand. However, if we were trying to attract new people to Fir Park then the stand and facilities will make that almost impossible as these folk don't already have the attachment to the club.

    Catering

I never go near it. Don't eat food prepared by stigs. One of few philosophies on life which has got me where I am today. What are the prices these days? Is a Mars not about £2?
  12. I'm guessing this is it here. Hardly what it was made out to be and I'm not even sure if there is any singing? Plus, I didn't realise the senior squad travelled around in that wee mini bus. I thought they generally drove to training themselves and that bus was for the youth teams. Whit do I know though?
  13. I'd like to see a back 4 of... Saunders, Hutch, Reynolds and Hammell. I can't see Gannon dropping Yass though. I'd also bring Forbes back in due to his goal threat. 2-1 'well. Forbes and Juke
  14. Just as the topic says... how did you end up supporting Motherwell? I'm guessing a lot of you were just dragged along by your old man like me. I think my first game was Dundee Utd at home in the 91-92 season and I canne remember a thing to be honest. Sorry if the topics been done before!
  15. Think Ruddy has been a quality coup but he came very highly rated as others have said. I went for Hately who was apparently shunned by Hamilton? Great signing. I think Gannon will be here for a few years at least. Having one superb season won't get you anywhere (McGhee) and I think Gannon realises this. He is really trying to build something for the future. I voted 6th but that was a toss up between that and 7th.
  16. What was the boy in the east going off his nut at Fox for? Christ, calm doon mate.

    Well Flags

I'll give you another go at that one. Incidently, I found an old well flag in my loft. It's about 120cm x 70cm
  18. I really can't work him out. Sometimes his positioning is so bad I think that he must know what he's doing as he can't be that daft. He fails to cover his position and his man in the most basic scenarios sometimes. However, if he could improve his final ball and sort out his positioning then I think he could be a bit of a player. He's good at finding the space to play the final ball but just lets himself down with the pass. I get the impression he's never going at 100% as well, but maybe I'm wrong with that. Fuckin rapid mind.
  19. Spot on. The whole "hero" propaganda is getting embarrassing. Wheeling them out at every opportunity to deflect away the criticism aimed at those who sent them over there.
  20. Went for O'Brien for his first half

    Facebook

I canne believe Motherwell are the first club in the SPL to do this but good move. People are finding the majority of their info on football from social media now.
  22. Like most other folk - Fitzpatrick against Hearts. Watched the Motherwell V Celtic 4-4 game on holiday in an Irish bar and 5 or 6 of us were running round the pub when Kinnirburgh put us 4-3 up with about 5-10 mins to go. We were heading for a doing if it wasn't for their late goal I reckon. More recently, Porter's goal against Aberdeen to secure europe. However, I don't remember going as mental as I did for Smiths penalty save against Nancy. Couped down about 3 rows.
  23. Hutch and Saunders were quality. Hutch is solid! Thought Coke looked back to his best as well. brilliant result
