  1. I was replying to David who said :- "Finishing second when you're competing with teams like Hearts, Hibs, Dundee United & Aberdeen is ALWAYS a great achievement". Not when they're dross it isn't, regardless of budget.
  2. Even when Hearts and Hibs are the worst 2 teams in the league?
  3. The best way to get match fit is by playing football. That's why teams play pre-season friendlies and players coming back from injury play in bounce games. Friendlies aren't as good as competitive games but they're the next best thing so for us to be going into the Europa League on the back of one decent friendly was a joke. Absolutely amateur.
  4. How did we play? Did we try to defend the 2-0 lead or did they get a lucky break with the penalties?
  5. As far as I remember it was Alan Martin who chose to leave us rather than us releasing him. He was highly rated and a regular in the Scotland under 19's at the time he decided to leave us for Leeds.
  6. No. Looks like they're drip feeding the signings to keep the feelgood factor going. Keith re-signing will probably coincide with another push on season tickets.
  7. He's on £15,000 a week at Blacburn until 2015.
  8. Great challenge on the keeper by Sutton.
  9. They raised £22 million in their share issue just over a year ago and frittered it away. Now they're skint.
  10. Can't see him going to Rangers while Bell is under contract on thousands a week. They're skint.
  11. The only rule I've seen that mentions 3 years is the one for membership of the national association. It's all in article 12 of the UEFA fair play rules. Where did you see the rule about 3 years of accounts?
  12. Is the UEFA rule not that they have have to have one year of accounts but that they have to have been a member of their national association for three years?
  13. With it being filmed for BBC Alba I think there will be a good chance of getting a stream.
  14. You could be right but we don't know. I just thought MJC's comment was a bit misleading and the story is in the Sun who people only believe when it suits their agenda.
  15. It says they've lifted the suspension on most of the 128 fans, not all of them. I don't think anybody can moan too much without knowing the details. There could be 60+ still banned.
  16. The article doesn't say they've lifted the suspension on the 128 fans.
  17. Hope some of them hurt themselves doing the damage but apart from that WGAF? Their team will pay for the damage the same as ours will for the damage at NDP.
  18. Celtic's biggest league win of the season. Brilliant reaction from last week. Looking forward to the excuses. Celtic brilliant, low confidence, difficult conditions.....
  19. Lasley in The Evening Times:- "We came in and trained as normal on Monday and Tuesday and we have tried to talk things out, but we know we have not become a bad team because of one howler." Firstly, in my opinion they should have been in for training on Sunday after being shown up by part-timers. Secondly, I agree that we have not become a bad team because of one howler. It's also because of the howlers that have come before it...
  20. This is a thread for people who do care about the football. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter but it's what this thread is about. Not really sure why you felt the need to come in here.
  21. Stuart McCall had a squad available to him that could easily beat Albion Rovers. The fact that he put out a weakened team that lost means that the buck stops with him. Why does he continue to make the same mistakes in cup games?
  22. The attendance against Rangers was only 5345, nowhere near a full house. Great draw though! Decent chance of getting a lower league team in the next round.
  23. Crosses into the box played right into Aberdeen's hands. When you have a man advantage you need to keep the ball and wait for the opening, not fire hopeful balls in to a packed box.
  24. Overall Stuart McCall's done a very good job since he came to Motherwell. However.......I really can't fathom some of the decisions he makes prior to and in "big" games. He continually makes the same mistakes, strange lineups and crazy substitutions. FFS, Faddy in the squad but at at no point (even 1-0 down with 5 mins to go) did it seem like a good idea to bring him on!?
