  1. Great draw for me! If anyone's going via Madrid the second leg of the Supercopa (Real v Barcelona) is on the 29th with tickets still available. I'll be driving from Madrid to Valencia on the day of the game so can give a lift to anyone who may need it.
  2. Yes, they can't register anybody over the age of 18.
  3. Mr Megative of the Motherwell support likes Mr Negative of the media world. Who'd have thought it?
  4. Surely we won't get fined for a couple of crumpled up pieces of paper getting thrown at players? Considering the bigotry, racism and violence that goes on elsewhere I'd hope UEFA would have bigger fish to fry.
  5. As far as I know the SFA have confirmed that the transfer window will close on the 31st. It would only be extended if the final day was a Sunday.
  6. Stuart McCall mentioned in his post match interview that Hutchinson's just started running again after injury.
  7. Weiss was on loan but Rangers were still supposed to pay a loan fee. They didn't pay and that's why Man City were on the creditors list.
  8. IMO Steelboy can on occasion make some decent points but in general he comes across as a bit of a muppet.
  9. Who said clubs shouldn't use TV income as part of their budget? Of course they should use it but I doubt every team in Europe builds their budget round it like you claimed (Man City for one certainly don't). Still waiting for proof of this as I think you just made it up.
  10. No. You show me evidence that every football club in europe designs their business model around the tv deal and only one country in europe has fans stupid enough to force their clubs in financial penury.
  11. Any proof of that or is that just your opinion stated as fact? Are you Jim Traynor?
  12. Here's what I received:- Good afternoon / evening folks (depending on where you are reading this from), Please see attached the Guidance Document supplied to all ‘Well Society members. As you live out with the UK, then it is obviously impractical to ask you to fill in a form and return it. However, your vote is as important as every other so in order to register your views, please read the attached then any point before Friday 29th June, email wellsociety@motherwellfc.co.uk from the address received with the following: Name: First Line of Address: Voting Intention: All of this is explained at the end of the document. Thanks, as always, for your continued support from afar. Best Regards, Alan Burrows Press & Media Manager Motherwell Football Club
  13. As far as I know all overseas members should have got an e-mail with the information. You were then allowed to submit your vote via e-mail as long as you used the e-mail address that the club holds for you. At least that's what happened with me.
  14. Would like to think our club would distance themselves from this ASAP but with a director on the SPL board I doubt it. I'm looking forward to an official statement one way or the other.
  15. Just when you think they can't make more of an arse of the situation....... If Newco don't have to apply to the SFL as any other team would (and I still doubt whether they will even be in a position to do so) then I'm out. Not another penny to a corrupt league or football association.
  16. I believe they've been in discussions for quite some time. My head zips up the back though. It will be interesting to see if these discussions actually lead to a reform of the leagues if there is no Newco team competing in any league next season which is a distinct possibility.
  17. The worst case scenario is not no Rangers. It's voting yes and the vote still going against Rangers. No Rangers fans, less Motherwell fans, fans of other teams boycotting Fir Park etc would add up to a lot more than £275k. Can't understand why anybody would vote yes (and hopefully they won't).
  18. Buying a season ticket gives you the right to get into games but does not give you a right to vote on club issues. Joining the Well Society gives you a right to vote on club issues but does not give you a right to get into games.
  19. I only scanned through the 'Mr Green' letter but FFS what a pile of shit. Does this guy know they are in the process of being liquidated rather being in administration and they haven't actually received any punishment yet? Does he also think they can just choose what league they start in?
  20. Who's committed to anything? People are saying they'll vote no on the assumption that it's a yes/no vote but if it turns out that there's more to it I'm sure they'll cope.
  21. I will definitely be voting no. IMO the worst case scenario is us voting yes and the overall vote going against The Rangers (which is looking increasingly likely). If that was the case we'd still be losing whatever money they bring to the SPL but we'd also face fans of the teams who voted no boycotting Fir Park as well as some of our own fans giving up season tickets and Well Society memberships.
  22. He didn't actually say he played for Celtic against a Rangers side containing Gascoigne and Laudrup. I imagine he would have been referring to when he played against them for Clyde.
