  1. Or it could be that Sheffield United still have other candidates to speak to. Edit: too slow!
  2. I think the club have confirmed that permission has been given to speak to him. 50/50 chance of him going IMO.
  3. I'm not sure Wallace, Black, Shiels or Tempelton would agree with most of what you have written. How good a move has it been for their careers? Any of them getting a move down south? Their bank balance may have gone up but they have deteriorated as players. Anyone who signs for Sevco is doing so to the detriment of their career and it's certainly not a "springboard".
  4. McCracken is a ned. He used to chase my mate all over Pollock and Crookston threatening to stab him.
  5. Superb, very happy for the big man. You have to laugh at some of the people who slated him.
  6. What are you going to do if he doesn't apologise? Remember it? If you wanted to do something about it you should have done it at the time.
  7. Was it not more of a threat from current season ticket holders/pay at the gate fans that they'd walk away rather than promises of others to start attending?
  8. I think McCart did his cruciate and wasn't the same player when he came back.
  9. We have more quality in our team than anybody else in the league, bar Celtic. Stuart McCall deserves immense credit for bringing in Faddy, Higdon, Law and Ojamma to add to what was already there and also for the work ethic he has instilled to the team.

    Dundee Game

Great result today. Hopefully we can get another win next week to go into the top 6 games full of confidence.
  11. My concern is that every day that passes without McCall signing is a day closer to Sevco needing a new manager. If Sevco are to be in the bottom division again next year Charles Green needs to do something to sell season tickets. He can't sign any players just now so an announcement as soon as they win the league that McCoist is "moving upstairs" and a new manager is coming in next season could be the way to do it. The new manager would have to be a Rangers man and with McCall being out of contract he'd definitely fit the bill. As others have said we don't know for certain who is holding the deal up but if the Rangers job becomes available before he's signed I'd definitely be concerned.
  12. Very sad news. RIP Auld Yin.
  13. And why was the first place prize money left untouched?
  14. Sevco might be looking for a new manager soon and McCall still hasn't signed his new deal......
  15. I'm happy for there to be a redistribution of prize money if it includes all league positions. However, I'm not happy if Motherwell have voted in favour of a change that lets first place (which will only be Celtic for the forseeable future) keep all of their prize money while second place (which we have a better chance than most of finishing in) loses a fortune. Would this happen if Rangers were still in the league and will it revert to the way it was if/when Sevco get to the top division?
  16. Should the 'Well Society not have been made aware of this as it's a pretty big change? I'd like to know what the clubs stance on this was as I'd be pretty pissed off if we were being asked to pump money in at one end while they were agreeing to changes like this that could potentially lose us a fortune in prize money.
  17. I thought £10 million of it had already been earmarked for work on Ibrox and McCoist had been promised £10 million for new players? Charles Green's lucky Sevco fans have memories like goldfish.

    Fine Lasley

    Can't argue with that.

    Fine Lasley

According to the guys doing the commentary on MFCTV Lasley had already been booked.
  21. Surely there will have to be some sort of communication from the club. Ignoring the current members doesn't exactly make the Society very attractive to potential new members.
  22. And then someone else posted that it's his age at the end of his contract that counts so his birthday doesn't matter.
  23. I'm not a big fan of Stuart McCall but while we're sitting in third place in the league I feel it's unfair for people to be calling for him to go. Whether or not he should be offered a new contract is a different matter. If he can keep the majority of the team together I wouldn't be averse to him getting a new contract, however if (as looks likely) there's going to be a major rebuilding job required I'm not sure he's the man for the job.
  24. Pretty sure Shaun has 18 months to go on his contract.
