  1. That still to me does not warrant the inclusion. Just because it's a common goal among supporters trusts does not make it beneficial. For what it's worth, I dont think there is any place for a fan on any board; on the basis that he is first and foremost a fan! Any votes that he made may be too emotive, and if acting in the interest of the club, could be a conflict of interest; as the interests of the club and those of a select bunch of fans (ie the Trust) can be very contrasting.
  2. Yeah, I take that as a given. However, they would have little power, and it appears to me to be more of a 'watch & listen' brief - which adds no value whatsoever! I can see no reason other than the 'cos we want to.'
  3. I still dont understand why the Trust feel that they should have a member in the Well Board? To what benefit would that be to the average fan? All I can make of it so far is that they want someone there....just cos they do! I can see no real benefit other than an egomaniac attending the Board meetings, spouting spurious pish that the Trust want to point out, before being "ignored." Can anyone tell me what they feel will be achieved?
  4. Yeah, but for what purpose do the Trust want a seat on the Board? There appears to be no legitimate reason for there being a Trust rep on the Board, other than 'you want one.'
  5. Nothing that you have said or done has given me the impression Frazzle; it is merely the impression I have of all 'trusts.' A prime example of this would be the egomaniac at Rangers Trust, David Edgar, who appears to be a dobber of the highest extreme. Thanks for clarifying bits and bobs; but can I ask, why do the Trust harbout the ambition to have a seat on the Board of Directors? Does that not fall into the 'David Edgar' category - ie - a bumped up nobody with a whole load of misplaced self importance? How would the Trust member be put forward? The guy with the most mates? Would he be willing to sacrifice his day job to undertake the role, and if not what would the point be?
  6. Can I ask what the mission statement of the Trust is? I am confused as to what the aims and objectives of the Trust are! Is there a fee to join the Trust? Surely that money would be better spent on merchandise that benefits the club, and not a group of supporters' egos? To me, it seems that it is a bunch of 'holier than thou' well fans, all desperate to prove they are a better fan than the next man. That is not meant as a dig, but a serious conception I have of the Trust. Perhaps you can advise otherwise?
  7. Seconded! We apologise for wasting your time, as you trust guys are clearly very important people, with many big decisions to make on the future of our club......our fans.....and the whole universe!

    Chris Porter

To be fair though, that stat is more of a coincidence than anything else. Those kind of stats make no real sense in footballing terms.
  9. I voted for Klimpl. Thought he marshalled the midfield magnificently, and the Jambohuns got no change from an area where they have dominated us in the past. Really been impressed by the man in midfield, though feel he will pick up many bookings over the season (though the one tonight was well worth it imo)! O'Brien certainly 'worked his socks off (to coin a phrase that really makes no sense)' tonight, though I am in agreement with the other poster that it was too very little produce......in saying that, he was involved in the build up to the goal. Other than that, wasn't overly impressed by him, but note that the tremendous support he has been getting of late seems to have lifted his confidence. Hopefully he can up his game on the back off these more 'workmanlike' performances. Thought Clarky played well tonight in bursts, but the overall game (and our hoofing) meant it was a more physical game than artful! Big Porter deserves some commendation for the kicking he received throughout his time on the pitch. Ref was atrocious!
  10. Oasis was a shop with shoes so hot They were sure to blow your minnnnnnnd! Like your sig Busta...... great song!
  11. Dont know why, but anytime I hear of the Trust (in saying that most other clubs' versions also) I am reminded of the Life of Brian sketch at the end..... though replacing "I'm Brian of Nazerath" with "I'm Motherwell's best fan"......."No I'm Motherwell's best fan" etc. Egomaniacs in my humble, yet sincere opinion. Not much constructive to say I may add, yet my tuppence worth nonetheless.
  12. We should bring back Ged Brannan for all televised games! He liked nothing better than a goal when SKY visited!
  13. While the original chap's criticism was not what you call 'constructive' he does have a couple of points that perhaps the well boys should consider......in fact that very sentiment has been echoed by a lot of other posters; and that is some of the songs are absolutely cringworthy! I quite like what you lads are trying to achieve, but using the same dodgy songs that every other club's fans use can be quite annoying. For example, the Torres song changed to Porter is terrible, the celtic song that goes 'ooohhh ooohhh ooohhh ooohhh ooohhh' after some crap verse is similarly shocking. Perhaps is you all embraced some more traditional 'Well songs like:claret and amber ribbon, the Joe Wark song, etc; others might be more inclined to join in - and they would be less cringeworthy to the 'non well boys.' Take what you want from that, as it is only my opinion. Other than that, your efforts to bring back an atmosphere should be commended.
