  1. Another worthwhile contribution mate! What about Adriano from Inter, has has problems too!
  2. I noticed him looking over to the East stand laughing a few times! Guessed that it may have been something to do with his other half! Good shout Busta. I voted for Clarky, as I thought he was the only one that looked like he could make something happen. Worst player on the park was John Sutton by some distance! So far off the pace it is untrue! Just shows how different people watching the same game can have very different opinions! Demonstrates how difficult it can be for a manager, given 2 fans sitting together have a different impression of who is playing well and who isn't!
  3. Names on season ticket seats is a total waste of money in my opinion. I would much rather see the money that would be spent sticking my name on my seat spent on something more worthwhile to the club; such as youth development!
  4. I got mine in Glasgow delivered on Friday, as did my mate that I go to games with.

Cool, just looked as if it is an actual strip rather than a design.

Think it may well be this one?
  8. Is there not a 10% reduction in price if you renew before end of May? With the prices frozen from last season, this represents a 10% reduction in ST if you get in quick, no?

What......you want the club to consult the fans as to whether they accept a sound opportunity to bring i additional dough? Seriously, it is thoroughly unrealistic to expect our, or any other football club to 'consult' the fans on things like this! Do you think the club should 'consult' the fans over a change in brand of the bog roll they use? Sometimes, we have to accept that people are making decisions with the welfare of our club in mind! Are you a member of the Trust? I ask as that was a 'Trusty' type question.........looking for a ridiculous amount of unnecessary input!

Scotland's football strips have been released in snippets on the sfa website. Works a treat I think!

Looking forward to seeing the new kit design! The Dalziel one is cracking! Any ideas as to when we are likely to see the snippets of the new top? Hope it is done like the Scotland ones, with wee sections of the top being publicised at a time.......builds the excitement and ensures that the new top is highly talked off/speculated at!

I blame the Trust! Sort it out McGhee!
  14. That's good news. I have no way of collecting tickets from Motherwell tomorrow as I live in Glasgow - hopefully I will be able to pay at the gate; though not sure if I'll be able to make it as yet due to work commitments. The pay at the gate would be perfect for me.

Jim O'Brien: "I don't know why people have a problem with it." My take on the problem is if someone who was born in Scotland to Scottish parents decides not to represent Scotland, and instead represents another country (be it Botswana, Ireland, Northern Ireland, England or whoever) I see that as reasonable grounds to people having a difficulty with the lad! For what it's worth, I dont feel that Mr O'Brien is offering a subjective viewpoint - of course he wont see a problem, he did it too. In a similar fashion, I dont offer a subjective viewpoint, as I view it as treason! I can never understand why a Scot would not feel an unconditional attachment to our country, never mind rather be another nationality! I choose not to abuse or join in any verbals, but have no problem with others that choose to do so! I also remember Burton O'brien getting abuse for a similar thing (S.Africa) but not to the same extent, though his talent didn't stretch to the same extent as McCarthy & McGeady.
  16. Does that mean that McCarthy is still eligable for Scotland? Didn't he pull out injured from their last game? Hope he is keeping his options open at this stage. May be controversial, but I would still take him back for Scotland in the unlikely scenario he had a change of heart.
  17. Any idea of the prices for the replay? Quite keen to sample the new stadium for myself, see if it is really as poor as the photos.
  18. As per my pm, these things are best dealt with in such a way as the forum is not clogged up by attention seeking posts. Please keep this nonsense to PMs.
  19. Noticed you posting here for a while, and there was always something that really annoyed me about your posts, then it just hit me....... you are a wanker! Sorry mods, but a spade's a spade!
  20. When referring to the various stadiums around Europe, do bear in mind that the construction costs vary considerably from country to country! For example, ROI construction costs tend to be dramatically cheaper (per m2) on schools than over here. I would imagine that scandanavian construction costs would be cheaper than our also, due to the increased prefab and innovative techniques used, which remarkably reduce prelims due to the speed of construction, etc. In short, when comparing St Mirren's with another European team is not neccesserily comparing apples with apples.

Hmmmmmmmmm, what an ambassador for the Trust! People will be queing up to join with non self centred attitudes like that! Personal vendetta, pretty much sums up the 'egomaniac' accusation!
  23. Totally agree, though was reticent to mention it as it sounds outrageous! Clarky's technique has improved almost 10 fold since the gray days of the MoMal regime! His overall play has improved far greater than I could have imagined, and he is approaching 'complete player' status in my opinion! As Lord McGhee states, his physique has dramatically improved in his Lordship's time at the club - and Fitzy's is also bulking up! Just a shame other players dont have the eagerness to improve to the same extent! Keep it going David - fast approaching our most valuable player!
  24. The unfortunate thing about the situation is that things like that are used as an excuse by the 'apologists' for people not liking a particular player! Be it a religious accusation or a country accusation! These days in Scotland, you are not allowed to dislike an Irishman, or anything Irish or you are 'bigotted!' This rule is no longer applicable when it comes to disliking a certain Spaniard though! In my opinion (for what it's worth) a Scottish footballer electing not to play for Scotland is a scumbag! Jim O'Brien is not as much a Scumbag as McGeady and McCarthy as I dont think he'd ever be good enough to play for us, so fair do's that he looks for alternative international options. It really peaves me when you get labelled a bigot, etc for having a dislike for McGeady, McCarthy or any Scot that ever turns out for England! Is there something wrong having an affinity to our country and disliking anyone who does us harm?
