  1. That's you boys sorted out the wages side of thing then........................... Why dont you try and get us a sponsor while you're at it, and maybe redevelop Fir Park if you've any spare time
  2. I'd be quite happy to see us run with McHugh up front, with Smith/Lawless as back up on the bench. In order to progress, the kids need the opportunity to show what they got.
  3. Yet every other team's unofficial sites allow it - hell even FPC allows it. To suggest that Puma or any other company would sue over the use of their logo on a mock up is ridiculous in the extreme, and is heavily overestimating the significance of this unnofficial web site, unnofficially constructed for fans to discuss various unnofficial club related topics such as potential new strips. Yet, I suppose if it gives you a (false) sense of importance then carry on filling yer boots kids.
  4. Agreed. There appears to be a bit of 'head up own arse' syndrome on here from time to time. Either that or modding for the sake of modding - kind of like police stopping kids from playing football in a park.
  5. "Reason for edit: Stop using the club badge. " Fucking pathetic..................... Have a think about what this site is you egotistical twat!
  6. After consideration I have decided not to run with a season ticket next season. On the basis that I got 2.5% wage increase 2 years ago, frozen last year, and likely to be the same again; I refuse to pay a 5% increase on an already overpriced ST. When I hear a 5% discount on last season's price, I expect to save 5% on what I paid last season, which is not the case, despite the misleading headline the club are utilising. I can also see the crowds further dwindling next season, and as I intend to pick and choose matches next season, I see myself unlikely to pay £18 to sit in the ramshackle stand to watch us play ICT, Falkirk/St Mirren, etc. Tenner a game makes sense, which represents fair VFM, and is likely to be the only hope in hell the club have of attracting fans back to the games. It may even result in the same revenue being generated if successful.
  7. Seriously not sure about whether to renewl, I have lost the buzz towards the end of the season, and have only been to see the team 2 or 3 times under Brown. Despite the good results, I much preferred to see a team full of young players under Gannon. Tenner a match would encourage me to renew; which I think represents a fair price, and perhaps would encourage more to go.

    Jim O'Brien

Sounds more like he feels he will have a better opportunity to get a game for Scotland. I like Jim, but I would hope that we are not in the position that he is an international player....unless he improves dramatically!
  9. "I felt I owed some respect to a club that gave me a job when I was unemployed, and contrary to misinformation I was working under a contract. My reward was the sack for a ‘failure to show commitment’. I have no regrets" ---Where did that come from SD? I Assume it was from JG?
  10. Try 5 years defects liability; it aint PFI!
  11. Rightly or wrongly, I took it as an example of our younger players having to wait another 18 months before they can think of developing again. Probably due to my negativity towards Mr Brown and Knox. One thing is for sure, I cannot dispute their effectiveness to date!

    Official Site

    Motherwell TV eh
  13. That Andy Smith guy from Preston on loan during Butcher's time. He truly was a crime to football.
  14. So Loyal that he left us for free, didn't do well in England, so came back up for a transfer fee! Lasley did similarly, albeit came back for nothing after bombing! Therefore, for some reason, people are calling JOB & Slane disloyal, yet they have not made the moves (as of yet) that the 'loyal' 2 did befure scurrying back up the road.
  15. Why? Craigan is mince, experienced, but mince. I believe the last time he properly connected with a ball was 2001. I would rather have a promising young un over an experinced shit one anyday.
  16. To be honest, a sweeping generalisation based upon stories on here and the impression I get. The press releases by some players since JG left seem to try and portray the victim card, which generally suggests JG was trying to press his beliefs on the squad, which appears to have been met with resistance! Another things that screams out to me is the fact that Jim jogged back from training whilst the rest got the minibus. If I was one of the unfavoured players, such as McGarry, LAsley or Craigan I would have made sure I was running alongside him! In fact, as club cappun' Craigan should have been jogging along anyway, and as such encouraging them all to do it, rather than fucking about on a bus!
  17. I also agree, however a number of issues transpired against us: - Contract not being signed - 'Senior' players didn't like being criticised / dropped - Seems most of the players would rather be mediocre and have a good time, rather than be pushed into living like athletes and improving their abilities. Who knows what went on, and whether Jim was just up here to boost his resume in the short term; but the last 2 points above may have been the final stumbling block on his not remaining here. I think it will be a case of 'what could have been,' as MFC and JG looked like a fine marriage for a few months. Would have been interesting if he was able to remove the guys he perceived as unprofessional, as I reckon he could have developed a number of cracking players from the youth team into real stars. As we stand, I worry that with our current management were at the forefront of where it all went wrong for Scottish football. I cant see CB and AK pushing them onto the next levels by encouraging professional attitudes to lifestyles, modern training methods with emphasis on technique and so on. Arsenal booted stokes out due to concerns regarding his lifestyle, which continued at Sunderland, and his status is now so low he ended up at Hibs. That is an example of how boozing and not applying 100% effort to improve can leave young talent on the scrapheap, and has been the bain of Scottish talent! Like I say though, I hope I am wrong, and Broon has turned into a Van Gaal / Wenger-esque nurturer of talent.....very much doubt it though! EDIT: Sorted out the quagmire - must have bumped the trackpad halfway through!
  18. Does the General Manager not have delegated authority in his absense? Pretty sure she will run the day to day dealings at the club.
  19. Paul slane ate my hamster.............but I would love it, love it I say, if he continued at the well.
  20. East stand for me, near the middle.

    Herts Away

Ah fuck! More than likely Craig Moore!
  22. Whilst acknowledging that it is good to have short term cover in to steady the ship, I would be disappointed if Craig Brown was to be appointed full time manager. Whilst his international results have not been touched since, a large proportion of the blame for the state of our football should lie at his door. It was Broon that scrapped the technical aspect of Scottish youth teams in favour of playing strong big boys. Were he to instil a similar strategy at Fir Park, I fear for our youth programme. I said it prior to Jim Gannon's appointment and I'll say it again, I would love John Collins to take over the hotseat. His professionalism would be brilliant for the young guys in the side. He was chased out of Hibs because their boys wanted to continue getting pished instead of living the life of an athlete. With the backing of the Board, John Collins could be a revelation at Fir Park imo.
