Not got the strip myself, and have not actually held a replica of it; however it strikes me that so many people suggesting that the quality is inferior can't all be wrong. It's all well and good criticising people for complaining about the quality, but it should be noted that these 'complainers' are consumers that have purchased a product that is not up to scratch in their opinion. Any amount of smart arsed comments will not change that fact! Notwithstanding the above, I think it's a smoking design, and fully intend to purchase a top for 5-a-side purposes next time I visit the fortress! In another slightly related topic, I didn't notice a stall punting our merchandise at the Taff match in Airdrie. Any chance that PSL may consider a stall for the Albanian game, as I for one would be looking to blag a top. There may be others that are unable to visit Fir Park during working hours, and I'm not sure of the delivery times from the online shop.
  2. Strikes me that they are trying to buy the rights for 25M, and will then look to punt them to a TV company for a greater fee, pocketting the loot as they go? In the event they dont fill their pockets with gold doing that, they would set up an OF tv channel, and charge for that! I dont fancy being a subscriber to OF TV, as the very thought of seeing that on my bill would sicken me! That is my take from a very quick read of what has been mentioned here, so not sure if that actually is the case?

So does anyone knoe what the score is yet? Are the kitmen currently scouring teamwear websites as we speak? Real pisser to be honest, as I reckon the new strip is the nuts. Shame for all the families that have kitted out their kids with the CCC, but what can you do! Further uncertaintly has now affected our budget, surely it's about time we got a feckin break?
  4. Think Webster is goosed, and that is why he never got a look in at le h*n. He's not really played for about 2/3 seasons, so doubt he would be up to much any more. I also see that John Kennedy is looking at a 7th operation on his bad knee, so that looks like curtains for his once promising career. Has there been any news on whether the Gannon will be allowed to spend any of the capital we have brought in of late, or will it be frees and loans only for us?
  5. I think that we were meant to be doing it independantly - Hearts and co do it through their web page designers. LAst I heard was that we underestimated the costs in doing it ourselves and it has been delayed.......could be wrong though.
  6. Why would you hope it's true? I reckon Murphy has the potential to be our next million+ player.
  7. Anything to stop you crying into your pint at JD's again!
  8. ......or a wind up merchant!!! Excuse me if I'm wrong, but your use of 'they' in previous posts suggests that you are the supporter of another club!
  9. Not overly concerned as yet, I'm pretty sure we will hump them away! The thing I liked was the possession thing, not one hump up the park. It was clearly the instruction to pass to the man adjacent at all times! Although it was slow, and allowed the taffs a chance to regroup, it is setting the agenda. Once that is drummed in, I'm sure it will be at a far higher tempo, with through balls, etc. Good to see Slane, thought he looked by far the best player on the park when he was introduced. Although we lost tonight, we plugged away with the system, and had belief that it would work. It didn't tonight, but I think we can take a lot of positives from it? Maybe I'm being too positive, but it was the first game with a new manager, style and players.
  10. Cheers guys. As I am not alone on this one, it looks like they have still to hit the post! Wouldn't fancy being one of the envelope packers, as 2000 odd specific tickets into envelope with specific letter could take some time!
  11. Does anyone on here know when the season tickets are due to be posted out? I ordered mine a fortnight ago, and they have not yet arrived? Cheers
  12. I would absolutely love John Collins to take over, though that would appear very unlikely! Other than that, I would be relatively pleased with McCall. A manager with a point to prove would be my favoured option, similar to the 'damaged goods' McGhee was when we gave him the opportunity to get his foot back in the door! A guy like Collins would be brilliant for our young players, and would ensure they are prepared as athletes! I reckon his main problem with Hibs was that most of the players are/were complete neds, and reckoned they are/were some kind of superstars!
  13. A lazy waste of space! Thought he would be a really good signing at the time, and he looked good in patches; however in the 18months he was with us, he never did us the courtesy of getting fit to play at an acceptable level for 90 minutes!
  14. If MMG goes, I would absolutely love John Collins to take over! Think he could be sensational for the young guys coming through.
  15. Hughes is the most over-rated player I have ever seen in my 30 years as a Well fan! He aint an attacking midfielder, nor a playmaking midfieler, and even less so a holding mid. Stephen Hughes is Brian Kerr with good PR!

Going on the Portsmouth strip, teaser 1 could be a photo of the back of the strip = hoop is back!!

Not getting involved in yet another Trust debate, but what difference does it make? Kinda like that episode in the Office when Brent addressed the workforce to talk of possible 'dundies, and had Gareth by his side nodding his head in agreement, full of misplaced self-importance!
  18. I'm sure we could pick him up of a free! Not sure about his contractual position, but surely West Brom would not stand in his way.......even if he has a year or so left. What age is he now?

It definately is a smokin' idea in my opinion. Had we not had the campaign, we would be on here with absolutely no idea what the strip would look like; and as others have said, the snippets create conversation and opinion, thus ensuring extra exposure to our strip. Well done to SC Dave and co (if it's their baby).

Looks very like one of the earlier mock-ups....... google images Motherwell Canterbury and Bob's yer uncle. Hope it is, cos it's a belter; and the away strip is minted an 'aw!
  22. Main stand at Parkhead is definately not listed! The facade is red facing brick of around 80's/early 90's! As for our main stand, cant see it being listed! Highbury was listed, and was one of the reasons they had to move to their new stad.
  23. I agree with you on that Frazzle, your opinion does not necessarily reflect that of the trust. However, the cynical side of me thinks that your displeasure at the club 'correcting a few wrongs' is borne out the realisation that as the club and the fanbase become closer, the relevance of the Trust becomes even less!

The fact that the new strip has generated 27 pages of discussion so far would suggest that it has been very worthwhile, and a number of fans are passionate about the new strip! I like the teaser part of it, as it promotes discussion; just disappointed that we aint allowed to produce mock ups to put our thoughts out there; and it kinda ruins the concept! Would be much better if we had dozens of mock ups with our best guesses as to what it would look like based upon the teasers! As I said earlier, the SFA and Diadora were happy for it on the TA Board; why do Motherwell and Canterbury have beef with the idea?
  25. By the way Ice Rink, what do you think of the lad McCarthy? Do ya reckon he is good enough to play for a bigger club like Motherwell yet? I'd also take the lad McArthur, they must surely want to move to a bigger club by now! Probs get them on the cheap from that wee diddy club....what ya think?
