milo
As an aside, after being bizarrely goaded by police and security for some reason when approaching the ground, I was then subjected to an almost airport security level search on the way in. I was singled out, taken to one side, told to empty every pocket on my jacket, hoody, jeans, rifled through my wallet, legs and waist patted down a couple of times and asked why I had gloves with me as “it wasn’t that cold”, even asked where I had been before getting there!! They didn’t seem too pleased when I said “Eh, ma car?!” Arseholes.
East_Stand_Al
Big problem with him yesterday was his decision making, he would receive the ball with space in front of him to run and he chose to go towards the Hearts defence resulting in him inevitably losing possession and a counter attack beginning. And also, if they search some people, shouldn't they be searching everyone? A few girls going in were let with out being searched. Surely sexist? Not any more than customs search everyone who goes through the green channel, would slow things down too much. Personally I've no problem with them searching just whoever they think looks dodgy, plus some at random (whether male or female).
stv
They have photosof who to search and study them intently before the game you must be on that list..... did they think you had a smokebomb down yer pants or just excited to see Faddy back in a Well shirt

milo
The challenge on Faddy in the lead up to the first goal gets worse every time I see it! An absolutely fucking horrific assault. Even if the advantage gets played can the player not still be booked? Or sent off in this case?
Rickoza
No doubt Vincent Lunny's telly is broken at the moment............ Outstanding response to a very poor weekend a week ago. If they guys want 2nd place it's theirs.
numpty
Even if the advantage gets played can the player not still be booked? Or sent off in this case? Yes, the ref absolutely can do either of those things, provided he does so when the ball next goes out of play.
Brazilian
that was a straight red if ever there was one, Danny Wilson should be sent packing back to liverpool shocking Tackle
Tweed
You can't play advantage and then send someone off. No reason you can't go back and yellow card someone. Reason being the person due to be removed could then be involved in a goal if the original attack breaks down. Not that the tackle in question here was ever worthy of a red card. milo
For me it was a far worse tackle than either of the tackles Lasley and Kerr walked for.
numpty
You can't play advantage and then send someone off. You can according to this FIFA document (emphasis mine): "Advantage: The referee allows play to continue when the team against which the offence has been committed will benefit from such advantage and penalises the original offence if the anticipated advantage does not ensue at that time. The referee takes disciplinary action against players guilty of cautionable and sending-off offences. He is not obliged to take this action immediately but must do so when the ball next goes out of play." And later: "If the infringement will result in an expulsion, the referee shall stop play and send the player off unless there is a subsequent opportunity to score a goal."

The big problem for me why was Daley on the park....he has only featured in 2 games this year and been on the park for 13 minutes.........Higginbotham/Carswell/McHugh/Saunders or even Hollis would have been a better option

That is an amendment from when I last read the laws end to end then - I do remember there being a clear caveat about red card offences. I suspect that wording has been added in for incidents like the Hibs second goal today where if the referee had given the penalty for Bell's foul he'd have had to send him off for denying a goalscoring opportunity but because they tapped it in he didn't actually deny the goalscoring opportunity so he got booked rather than incidences of a brutal tackle. Ian-in-Oz
No worse than normal. Just a bit surprising to see him come on given he has been so far out of the picture recently. Would have thought Higginbottom would have been a more obvious replacement as he has at least shown some promise. Daley has had plenty chances and didnt do anything to change anyones opinion today. Why did we take this guy on loan if we are not gonna play him? Surely we are paying at least some of his wage which seems strange we would spend finds we don't have to have someone from another team warm our bench. Not suprised he has been dropped to the bench as he is not as good as Faddy, but he is better than Daley.
Andy_P
Might Daley's selection on Saturday ahead of Higginbotham simply be down to him being more suited to the right-hand side of the park? I haven't seen enough of KH to say whether he's comfortable there or not but he has generally been played on the left in his time so far. As for Daley's time at Motherwell. It has evidently been largely unfulfilling. Far from the speedster that could tan Usain Bolt's arse for me he has often done little to dissuade the notion that he couldn't give a toss as he casually floats through games. That he got just shy of a two year deal to do that is certainly one of the few black marks that could be levied against McCall and I do wonder if perhaps Steven Lawless, who I really liked the look of, might still be at Fir Park if he'd been the beneficiary of the game time Daley received last season. In fairness though I do think its perhaps recollecting that at the time he came he fitted the bill on several counts in that he seemingly was able to offer cover on both flanks and centrally up front if required also. To an extent you could argue that's exactly what he's done, though to what effect is a different matter. He's never really started a run of games and has always been down the pecking order. Perhaps that's reflected in his performances. Either way he's surely going to be on his way in the summer and I doubt too many tears will be shed.

McCall has mentioned on a number of occasions, that with such a small squad, he often needed to bring in versatile players rather than specialists. Same reason he brought in guys like Kerr and Ramsden. Daley seemed to fit that bill, plus he brought experience to to the squad - he just hasn't worked out. It happens to best of managers and players.

I haven't seen enough of KH to say whether he's comfortable there or not but he has generally been played on the left in his time so far. He certainly has been played on the left but given how keen he has been to cut inside he would appear to strongly favour his right foot. No idea whether he would gave been any good down the right on Saturday, however, unfortunately I think we all knew how Omar would do. I usually like to give players a chance but it hasnt worked out for Omar. He needs a feesh start somewhere else.
