domeski7
Dont know if this has been posted anywhere elses but just wondering if anyone has heard of a bounce game/friendly being organised for this weekend? Thought it would be a good chance to get some of the new lads out seeing as we have no fixture.
weeyin
Given our luck with injuries sustained during off-weeks, I'd be keeping our players away from any competitive action.
Big Wispy Flossy
They have been struggling for places to train never mind getting a game. I believe they had to travel through to Stirling institute of sport twice last week to train.

domeski7
Still think a friendly (if possible) would have been the best option. We cant shite ourselves to play bounce games just cause of bad luck with previous injuries.

weeyin
Considering we have Ravenscraig on our door step that's rotten. Did we not have a wee run-in there a few years ago trying to kick out paying customers?
superward
Did we not have a wee run-in there a few years ago trying to kick put paying customers? Aye I think we did. Was it not during Cragy Broon's time with the club?

wellman
1423252372[/url]' post='432029']Shit, forgot about that. I think given the present board members background I would expect that we would be trying to negotiate a regular berth there

Burn_Broomfield
http://www.dailyreco...assment-2578647 Not news. NLC/NLL really wanted Celtic to train there when the weather got bad, but since Lennoxtown is the all singing and dancing facility Celtic said it would be, it put them up shit creek. Arseholes to a man with absolutely no interest in the local teams(Airdrie and Albion included). Motherwell had to travel far and wide to train during the recent cold snaps rather than being able to use the multi million pound sports complex right next to our ground. Well Up For It!
It really is a disgrace the situation with Ravenscraig. Given our new owners vision of a community club, I'm sure discussions with North Lanarkshire Council will be on the cards.
Waldo
It really is a disgrace the situation with Ravenscraig. Given our new owners vision of a community club, I'm sure diacussions with North Lanarkshire Council will be on the cards. And if we 'give' a couple of (even half fit) players to help coach school kids now and again, NLC have no excuse (apart from the fact that a lot of them are from he dark side of course). Burn_Broomfield
Unless there is some sort Motherwell themed Khmer Rouge revolution within the halls of NLC, they will continue to do a disservice to their commodity.
Andy_P
I don't think there was ever any mention of indoor facilities like Ravenscraig but presumably if the mooted Muirhouse Community Hub project came off we would have first dibs on the training facilities there? Coatsy
I see St Mirren have a bounce lined up "It hasn’t exactly been a smooth journey. Shambolic was how one of America’s sports writers described the embryonic stages of New York City FC’s operation, complaining that it has been “operating in a virtual vacuum” in advance of the club’s first game, to be staged at Manchester City’s new academy stadium on Tuesday, against St Mirren." Yassin
Think that's due to the Man City link up.

Onthefringes
How did they wangle that? The departed Tommy Craig had a link to Brian Marwood who is an Academy Director of sorts at City - clocked the two of them when down watching the nephew play a friendly at tale end of last season. Marwood's son was one of a few failed signings at Saints in the summer too.
