Entertaining first half. We controlled majority of it and deserved to go in at half time leading. Penalty we gave away was just a bit clumsy.

Ferguson impressing at left back. Kennedy is strolling it in the middle. McMillan at right back is doing well also.

Leitch, Thomas, Cadden and Clarky all looking good too.

As an aside to the game - Lasley is down in the dugout assisting Craigan.

Shouldn't have lost that.

Dominated first half and gave away a clumsy penalty on stroke of half time.

Second half, Aberdeen came in to it a bit but we were comfortable. Then Kennedy was caught last man in the box to give away a second penalty. Off he went.

Thomas was impressive all match.

Cadden played well behind the striker and was box to box

Clarkson laboured after his initial impressive 30 mins.

Kennedy didn't lose a header all game and looks like he can use both feet.

The full backs McMillan and Ferguson played well moving forward also.

Positive stuff I thought.

Also headed along to this.

We're looking like a well drilled outfit, committed to pressing high up the park and breaking with pace. Not too dissimilar to the 1st team.

As expected, Cadden and Thomas really do look like the 2 hot prospects. I think both are capable of making an impact in the 1st team this season - but they need a solid midfield behind them.

At the back McMillan and Hall looked fairly solid. Kennedy was absolutely strolling through the game until his unfortunate sending off. He is very much a centre half in my opinion.

Good to see Luke Watt come off the bench, hopefully he's back on the fringes of the 1st team soon.

Presumably Cadden then is very much in the Pearson mould ie box to box. What the under 20s lack is what the first team lacks ie a solid defensive midfielder?

Cadden plays a more advanced role than Pearson but yeah he's got a good engine on him and comfortable running with the ball.

Young Allan Campbell who has just turned 17 plays the sitting role in midfield.

Leitch was tidy enough on the ball and grew into the game. Not the midfield general that the 1st team seeks though.
