Penney is starting to impress. Better than all other LBs we've got combined.

It was between Penney and Goss for me, went for Goss in the end as everything good generally goes through him.

Can't beat a left back playing at left back. Penney showing how important that is.

Don't really get the Penney love here, he did have 2 great shots late on but several times very wasteful in possession, if O'Donnell did the same he'd be getting real pelters.

McGinn was solid at the back and with real pace too. Got forward well and had two good opportunities to get shots on target. The second one was poor but on another day the rebound would have found van Veen rather than Gordon.

I'm not convinced, he gave the ball away several times when under no pressure...but as I said maybe needs a little more time

He’s definitely a big upgrade on what we had.

I thought he was good going forward but got caught out at the back several times.

 

Having said that I’ve been impressed with him overall.
