Lots of good performances today.

Thought Watt was excellent again. He is going to be the glue that holds us together this season.

Fadinger decent again and got the vital goal.

Stama did a power of running and led the press well. If our delivery improves he might actually get some chances to score!

Just was my MOTM though. Total buzz bomb throughout and the one trying to repeatedly unpick the St Johnstone lock. He did tire towards the end of the game and I would have  probably subbed sooner. Just hope it is only cramp he was suffering from and not any sort of muscle injury.

Just had a really effective game, but I just can't go for him as MOTM because his decision making and final ball are generally brutal. Hopefully,  that will improve. He has fantastic dribbling ability.

I gave my vote to SOD, who was really solid today and played some superb, sliderule passes and crissfield balls. He is our best ball playing defender, by far.

It’s funny how we all see things differently. I thought the delivery to him was fine and he did get chances, but as usual, he fluffed his lines. He also needs to create his own opportunities, yet he’s often a step behind, which means the killer pass is rarely on for our midfielders. In short, he gets chances but rarely takes them, and he struggles to create anything for himself. Regardless of the delivery, he’s not the answer.

For me Stamma is a 6 yard box player and who'll tuck chances away when he's playing with confidence.

I don't think he's strong enough to hold up play and at the moment doesn't look like he's brimming with confidence, all too often taking an extra touch.

Equally I don't think our final ball into the box is helping, if we counter attack and get decent balls in he'll get on the end of it.

Watching the game yesterday my basic thought was we should take £800k if that was offered.

If the rumoured £800K offer for a player who supposedly cost us £250K was real, then not taking it could prove to be a very foolish decision.

I would imagine a big sell on percentage so we probably wouldn't make as much.  I'm still backing him, still think there is a player there

The problem I see is that he is likely to be worth far less than the rumoured £800K by the end of the season. Securing a return on our reported £250K investment now, along with a substantial portion of the remaining £550K, would at least make for a welcome return on what has otherwise been a poor investment and give us a significant wedge to finally sign a proper striker.

We definitely see this differently.

The delivery from Longelo and Sparrow from very good areas was rotten pretty much all game.

Maswanhise and Said not much better.

If any of the numerous opportunities that presented themselves had been delivered across the 6 yard line, we might not have had to go to extra time.

For me, our problems in the last 3rd are more down to poor decision making than anything else.

Of course, every player can always do better, and Stama needs to do more with the limited chances he is being given, but his work rate and movement are generally fine in this system.

Perhaps, but if that were the case, Stama would either be outside the box after dropping deep or stuck on the penalty spot. While his work rate is commendable, it does not translate into the instinct or positioning needed to score goals.

We will see.

Its still a work in progress with a load of new players still trying to get to know one another and get used to the new managers style/instructions.

I think its great we are still unbeaten at this stage with so much obvious growth in the team still to come.

Osong will offer something different when fit and if we have signed Callum Hendrie, then we at least have options and competition for places.

Slattery seems to be the only one our players who has figured out Stama needs the ball in front of him facing the goals. I can see him having a double digit season.

I'm not surprised SOD has been doing OK under the new system. For all his faults, he was always comfortable with the ball at his feet and could pick out a man with a pass.

I went for Just, though, who must have covered about 10 miles yesterday.

Was ODonnell captain yesterday? Have I missed that he’s taken over the captaincy from McGinn?
he’s been doing really well, long may it continue. In the words of yogi hughes “he’s a gid big honest laddie.”

No. McGinn was but SOD is one of a few players who will take the captaincy if for any reason McGinn can't play
