It's not specific to you, if I'm honest. I hear fans doing that all the time. We're nowhere near the English Premiership. Virtually no league on the planet is. The Premier League isn't just England's domestic football league commercially. It's one of the world's biggest sports media properties. It regularly has something like 1.45 billion live viewers in a season, is broadcast in 190 odd countries and has 2 billion+ followers worldwide. I'm not saying our TV deal is great value, by the way. Scottish football clearly punches miles above its weight. But stadium popularity and global broadcast value are two different things. If you want to argue the SPFL undersells Scottish football, compare our deal with Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Austria or Ireland and look at what broadcasters pay per game and per potential viewer. But anyone comparing a highly successful national football competition with one of the biggest global entertainment products on the planet is mental. And just because they're located down the road doesn't make any difference to that.

Why are you comparing our TV deal to the English Premiership? It's hardly even the same sport at this point. We're not competing with them. Do you think the Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Finnish leagues compare their TV deal to the English Premiership?

The money sky pay us compared to what they pay the overhyped English Premiership is ridiculous. The 8.00 Saturday night ones are ridiculous,

There's a simple answer. Knock back any TV deal that wants control over kick off times. However, we'll need to be prepared to see a fairly sizeable reduction in money coming into the game. Can't have both. A TV company pays good money for content, and they deserve to have a say in how the deal is executed.

Thats the aspect of VAR that really annoys me, it was brought in for" clear and obvious errors" only, now every goal is actively checked for reasons to disallow it. If you need umpteen different TV angles, freeze frame, and close up zoomed in still images etc to spot the ball glancing off an arm below the T shirt line etc, its not clear and obvious. The whole thing needs binned, but unless the clubs get together and tell the SFA its a heap of crap, nothing will change.

We really don't matter now at all , if you go to the games or have a season ticket you will take it on the chin because you turn up no matter what to watch your team. It's all to suit the TV , fans are at the vey very bottom of the list of things that matter. The clubs have take money from both the fans and TV . But TV wins without question everytime. VAR was set up specifically for TV so it would give them extra air hours talking shite about it . Everyone going to matches now agrees it's shite and ruins a matchday experiance, especially in Scotland . It really pisses me off that the true attending supporter means so little in the big scheme of thing. If it wasn't for us supporters going to the game then even the most exciting games would seem shite. Celebrating a goal has had the shine taken off it thru TV and VAR . Look at Lowreys goal at the weekend checked by VAR, what the fuk. And the penalty against us was a joke.

As someone who watches from afar, I don't mind as I'll have the afternoons to do whatever I like. Must be frustrating for folk attending the games though, especially if it is an away game.

Oh we are capable if the manager gets team selection correct, Celtic are pish (in relation to their normal standards) however with Motherwell I always fear our unerring ability to shoot ourselves in the foot when it's easier to do something. Anything we take from that game is a bonus, thought I expect a defeat.

The injuries have definitely been a factor but they are easing fortunately. I dont think we will be 4th but hopefully of top 6. Think this will be season of transition. Look at Falkirk, they were flying ast season but lost their main players.

Like many Bodø/Glimt players, he's struggling after leaving the club. They play a certain way, and it suits certain players, but clearly taking someone from that approach and trying to shoehorn him into the way O'Neill's teams tend to play isn't proving to be all that effective to this point.

Given that its nearly 3 weeks to the Celtic game, its pretty hard to predict what version of either side will show up, so predicting how the game is gonna go is pretty pointless. The players are getting a few days off this week to go see their families, so I would have thought that with that and a couple of weeks on the training pitch, then there should be some clearer heads and a greater sense of purpose within the squad. However, it doesnt always turn out that way and we will still have 1 or 2 away on international duty. Certainly JT and Paulsen are away, not sure if Ive missed anyone else? As for Celtic, will MON even be their manager by then? I kinda hope he is because there definitely seems to be a malaise in the East End of Glasgow, and I selfishly wouldnt want them having a new manager bounce against us! I note the game is a 12 noon Sunday ko, which will undoubtedly also have an impact. Lets see what happens between now and then. Just please, no more training ground injuries to key players!

He was handed a very difficult task with the players we lost, following on from JBA and our ever ridiculous catalogue of injuries so he’s been kind of hamstrung (sic) from the get go. All that aside though things just feel flat and not quite right. But it’s still early days.
