Is it a "confirmed by club" 6 figures or "some guy on twitter" six figures?
-
Aye £1,999.99 just about what he was worth anyway.
-
Rene Higuita was a master at that. He'd be worth a fortune these days with how teams play. Instead, he was seen as a novelty maniac back then when he was clearly ahead of his time. Saying that, he did get jailed for being part of a kidnapping fiasco involving Pablo Escobar, so maybe he was a maniac regardless. He could hit a tasty free kick as well...
-
Some very scary footwork in that Paulsen video. He does seem to enjoy dribbling the ball out of the box.
- Today
-
Thank God.
-
Oh there were a few clips in there. Did you watch all of the video? enough to scare me 😂
-
He'll need to work on that accent out there unless he likes saying everything twice.
-
Dom Thompson off to Belgian club for 6 figures!!, jeez!.....some bit of business for Killie
-
Word on the street is his name is Alex Paulsen 🤪🤪 Looks like a potentially good signing and hopefully Matty can mount a challenge also so we have healthy competition
-
The one around 5:12 tells me he'll fit right in.
-
These saves are all very well but where’s the showreel of him playing sweeper and triangles in his penalty area?
-
New GK looks to like a penalty save

They started running into problems when players were getting cup tied because they played in one competition and then the selling club dropped down a league e.g. from the Champions League to the Europa League. That meant your new signing was suddenly cup tied from the Europa League, even though he wasn't at the time of signing. With so many teams in European competition these days, and so many teams moving between Champions/Europa/Conference, they decided just to scrap it. They scrapped it in the English Cups as well I think. In the days of transfer windows as opposed to signing any time during a season, I'm not sure it's really needed.
-
Well that's the first rule broken.
-
Nah, Fight Club, mate. Maybe we can make it a mantra to chant after every clean sheet.
-
Seems like a smart loan signing and great example of where we may be getting reputation for players to shine and establish career.
-
Sorry but is that not what i said - or are you correcting my grammar?
-
So all the Ross McCrorie stories were off the mark. His credentials seem decent.
-
His name is Alex Paulsen.
-
I checked just to confirm Yes, UEFA officially abolished the "cup-tied" rule in 2018, allowing newly transferred players to represent their new clubs in European competitions even if they played for another team in the same season. [1, 2, 3, 4] Under this regulation, clubs are permitted to register a maximum of three new eligible players without any restrictions regarding their previous European appearances during that campaign. This applies across UEFA club competitions, including the Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League I didnt realise it was that long ago.

Alex Paulsen on loan from Bournemouth. 24 year old New Zealander.
-
New keeper incoming, announcement 3pm as per teaser
-
That’s good to know, possibly why the clubs relaxed about the up coming games as they expect - barring injuries - to be able to have Just, Watt, Maswanhise and Longello all available for a few weeks more. They’ve possibly also agreed not to play them in the friendlies we’ve had so far.
-
….. and any of our players contemplating A move to a “bigger” club also in the conference, they don’t have to worry about being cup tied as I believe they done away with that rule in Europe compretitions
-
Correct. But for some reason, it feels like we might be sleepwalking into them half-cocked.
