  1. Past hour
  2. Miller only came on because McTominay had an issue with his footwear. I'm OK with Miller not playing for the national team at the moment, because he hasn't played a competitive match all season. Players who aren't getting game time with their club shouldn't be getting game time in an international. As for Clarke, I appreciate he has been able to get us to a couple of Euros, but our performances in the finals have been embarrassingly bad and I have little hope a World Cup finals would be any different. I'd rather not qualify than endure that level of performance again.
  3. See if he’s going to set us up the way he has in the euros I think I prefer we didn’t qualify. Those two tournaments were utterly humiliating. we have decent players who can play yet he sets us up in a way that makes us absolutely eye bleeding to watch. the “he’s made us qualify for 2 tournaments argument” to me isn’t relevant, there’s never been 2 easier tournaments to qualify for with the teams we were up against and as I said, we have good players. We also should have been at a World Cup but he made an ar53 of it against Ukraine at Hampden. as you can tell, I don’t like him, I don’t like the Scotland set up eg gemmill involvement etc the whole thing needs an upgrade. I think the whole set up is damaging to young Scottish talent.
  4. I don’t want to be too harsh on Lewis Ferguson, given how well he’s doing in Serie A. Still, I struggled to see what he added to the midfield last night and couldn’t help but feel Miller would’ve been more effective alongside Gilmour in the double pivot. Hopefully, he’ll get more opportunities in that role.
  5. That dinosaur may yet still qualify us for our first World Cup in 28 years..... PS if we have a Scotland Caps clause with Udinese, then that 90 secs could end up being very financially rewarding for us!
  6. I see Lennon Miller was given a full 90 seconds to prove himself at international level last night. That Steve Clarke is an absolute dinosaur. I find it incredibly hard to watch Scotland play. Awful turgid stuff.
  7. Today
  8. It’s right enough, he did come to us and trained for a couple of weeks. He was desperate to sign but was screwed about a bit by McGhee and it all broke down on transfer deadline day. I know he was very much p1ssed off about it at the time. I think if memory serves me right he went back down to Leicester who immediately punted him on loan to someone as they didn’t want him. He ended up back at Dundee and was excellent for them for a few years.
  9. Yesterday
  10. I'm pretty sure that's a stretch in the same way Big eck was offered Solskjær, but it is true, he was on trial in 2007.
  11. Free agents. Alan Campbell? Liam Cooper?
  12. Back to real fitba this weekend. If we can manage to get our first win here it could be a good day for us, position wise, depending of course, on results going our way. Regardless, picking up 3 points is always good. COYW!!! rangers v hearts hibs v Dundee Utd killie v Celtic
  13. Last week
  14. Unless there's a free agent that can play left back, I wouldn't be rushing into the free agent market unless there's a player significantly better than what we have. The two mentioned are wingers. Given we have Said, Maswanhise, Just, Charles-Cook and Luca Ross all vying for two wing spots, I don't imagine it's a priority..
  15. Barry McKay is a free agent. May be good option if he stays fit.
  16. Does he need a new stamp on his Upper Crust loyalty card?
  17. Heard some rumours we're looking at Rolando Aarons. 3rd time lucky ?
  18. He could now go on a run where he doesn’t make any mistakes for the next 3 months so I’m still happy to let him stay in goals for the next game at least unless JBA has different ideas.
  19. Would have quite liked to have seen Big Rab in our goals for a year or two , think he would have been a bit like Gordon Marshall , a steady Eddie most of the time that is
  20. We can probably live with goalkeeping error now and again but unfortunately that’s 2 games in a row where it’s been a major contributor to loosing points. So the frequency and consequences of the mistakes have put a lot of focus there. Had we not dropped points or had they been a few games apart then perhaps there would not be the same impetus to get Ox back in goals. Personally, I would give Ox a run out but I think JBA will stick with Ward for the Dundee game.
  21. Oh aye, totally get that. But if we swap Ox in as a safe pair of hands and he ends up giving goals away because he is shite with his feet and JBA insists he plays out anyway, we really arent any further forward. Hopefully he is good enough.....
  22. If Wikipaedia is to be believed, he had a trial with 'Well in 2007 but he was not signed on in time before the transfer window closed.
  23. Looks like Euan Wilson unused sub at today's Raith game.
  24. Turns out Biereth's better off with Slattery or Spittal in his team.
  25. Outside of the carry on after Kettlewell left I think we have done a better job. Don't get me wrong we completely mishandled it but outside of that done a fine job.
