I'm sorry I missed those comments. Tom English has gone up in my estimation.
-
🤣 Of course, on reflection, Clarke's record in the finals of international tournaments does speak for itself: we are unquestionably dire 😱.
-
If it was his overenthusiastic comments that are being held against him then Clarke is even more clueless than I thought. I read John McGinn's thoughts about the incident, and he (and the rest of team) thought it was hilarious and followed the time honoured tradition of good humoured taking the Mick out of Miller for that camp. Giving the place to a player who has made 2 senior substitute appearances over the 3 other options that each have over 100 first team appearances says everything about Clarke's favouritism and tactics. Nothing we didn't know already, of course.

My like wasn't 👍
-
TBC, my like was sarcastic 😈.

It's not for the likes of us to question Steve Clarke when it comes to international football tournaments. The guy's record speaks for itself.

I hate Clarke - that's all 🤣

Tom English on Sportsound let rip yesterday. Pointed out how frantic and desperate to have his way Dallas sounded. Essentially bullied the decision through despite the doubts expressed by his assistant and even Beaton. Worth a listen. Dallas made the decision no matter what Collum says about all 3 officials being in sync. Even the presenter on the VAR Review questioned Collum's take on decisions. Not just our game. Normally Gordon Duncan just rolls over. Never challenges the nonsense that Collum spouts.. Cue no more VAR review programmes as Collum being called to account.

So we are picking players that have the odd under club u21 game and sitting on the bench for big teams lol guy is a clown. Job for the boys pick if I seen one and a slap in the face to a fair few players.
-
Miller's comments about being the best in the scotland squad when he first got called up didn't go down well and you have to wonder if that's now going against him.i think he was the only player to get no minutes in the last set of friendlies which was bizarre in its self, for scotland to not take a player playing in serie a to a world cup is a poor decision.

If nobody watches it, will wee willie go away? Pointless drivel that only winds up the fans even more.
-
Seems we have lost a member of the recruitment team to St Mirren. Gavin Miller. Not sure what he did for us but he is know head of recruitment.

Fletcher picked! A guy who has played 2 games as a sub on!! Time for Lennon to retire from International football. He aint going to play in the next 4 years in anycase! Concentrate on his club and tell SFA to do one. Theres loyality but only to Clarkes pals.
-
I fear Connor Barron will be who Clarke goes for. Based on nothing but who he plays for. Hopefully I'm wrong because Lennon Miller should be first in line. No faith that Clarke will do the right thing.

That’s it for me. I’ve had the luxury of being able to watch the replays time and again and under no pressure and I can’t come to a definitive conclusion. I simply can’t understand how Andrew Dallas could do that in a few seconds under pressure. It’s neither clear nor obvious and for Willie Collum to say that it is brings the process into disrepute. The games a bogey.
-
Lennon Miller might aswell retire from international selection the now probably won't get a fair crack while Clarke is in charge I will be shocked if he picked him. If Fletcher goes before him and a few others its nothing but a disgrace tbh.
-
100% 👍👍👍
-
I would hope so but it’s far from a foregone conclusion. Fletcher appears to have grasped the opportunity to impress this week.
-
Possible Scotland call up for Lennon Miller, with Billy Gilmour out injured?
-
Anything is possible during the summer. Reality doesn't kick in until September.
-
I'd love to think so.
-
I reckon thats a deflection tactic...change the narrative to tje unruly fans.
-
Bring in the right man and we'll be better next season after completion of our Phase 1 of Project Purposeful Passing.

One point that really gets my goat is context of what's happening around a player is completely ignored. For example with Nicholson, there's no aknowledgement that the Celtic player nudging him could result in him handling the ball and completely ignoring the fact that he must have in part used his head to project the ball 20 yards out the park. Similar with Longelo- because it hit his upper arm he's ok - what about the player pushing him into the position. Putting any MFC bias to the side what is clear that a) we don't have technology and b) we don't have professionals who understand the context. For me there's no question the game is much worse for VAR and needs binned.
