I’ve been pretty confident going into every game this season, even after the Stenny debacle, but I have to admit I’ve got the fear today. Alfred’s pre-match presser also felt like the most downbeat of his Motherwell career, which hasn’t helped lift me after the Aberdeen embarrassment. Today is huge. The performance probably matters more than the result, but we really can’t be going into the long international break on a downer.

Not quite sure I get all the anti Vogt rhetoric on social media. The lad clearly has talent with pace to burn and was identified by JBA; in effect his signing. Yes, he's finding it difficult to make the step up but he needs time and coaching.
-
Written off at St Johnstone, I meant. Let's hope the coach can improve him.

Not sure Bair was written off by many of us? St Johnstone fans thought he was shite, but he scored in his first game against Dundee and the Feed the Bair stuff never really went away. Willy has looked like a wee boy lost at times, but there are flickers of ability in most of his appearances. If he can build on Tuesdays performance and we can get someone on the end of those crosses and get some joy, it will definitely help to build his confidence. Baby steps....
-
Yup, I genuinely feel well fans desperate for him to be a success
-
"Burton", obvs!

Watt made absolutely no progress at St Johnstone either (or at Salford or Burtion A.to be honest) yet look at him now (badly missed at the moment but I think Oscar can fill the void on his return to fitness). I was relieved there were no boos for Vogt when he came on because his confidence looks fragile but his two crosses were excellent. We need players like Thor and P-H to be getting on the end of them.
-
Yep i agree. Bair is a prime example of someone that was written off and look what happened. I think Willy is a confidence player and we are probably playing a different style he is used to. Small signs of improvement on Tuesday with 2 cracking crosses. I wont be there tomorrow but hope the fans get right behind the lads. Even at 0-0 on Tuesday it seemed a bit flat. COYW

The manager must see something in Vogt, as he keeps playing him. With his back ground in developing young players I would go with him on this. Willy may just need some confidence fitness and game time to show what he's got. Remember what everyone said about Bair being useless at the start with us . I will go with what the manager thinks rather than a forum for now.

Maybe a month away but a good chunk is international break. So not missing as many games as they might have.
-
Good to here that Oscar, McGinn & Hendry are all back running and might be ready to rejoin squad training after the break. Obviously might still be a month or so away from playing, but is more light at the end of the injury tunnel. Is that just McGhee and Koutroumbis still out?
-
Dont disagree. Was thinking more for crosses into the box than anything else, given that seems to be our thing this season. I guess Vogt showed he could do that on Tuesday night. Just not sure we can trust him yet. But I suppose he needs to get the opportunity at some point.

The Directors are not interested or going to do anything. If they ignore the issue long enough folk will get fed up and shut up. All that has happened so far is that some longer bolts have put in because some seats were unstable. Oh, and folk have been told to move if they are not happy. All very fan orientated….not.
-
Agree with that Grizzly. Start Said and bring on Kanga or Vogt later on.

Nòooooooooo

He said the word humble twice in that press conference, now fully expect him to take off a face mask a la scooby doo and reveal he is really stuart kettlewell.🤣

G’day Flippers 🐬

McGinn was talking to my mate at the Stenny game and he was back to jogging then so hopefully be back sooner rather than later.
-
Aye hopefully that will help us get a result, but their boy Bevan looks a threat.
-
Good interview from Alfred. We are very much in transition and it is going to take time. Tuesday was terrible but no reason why we can't bounce back and I am sure players will have a point to prove. COYW

Happy with that pal apart from Sparrow. I think he needs rested. I dont think he has fully recovered from his injury. Have Said/Kanga/Vogt in that role
-
"Naw, Alfie, jist hoof it up the pairk!" That'll do the trick..........

Forgot JT went off injured on Tuesday. I also regularly forget that we have signed Dylan Levitt! Taking those two things into account and trying to inject a little more structure and discipline into our play, I think Id go with the following...... Paulsen SOD JKL Moorman Williams Levitt Fadinger Sparrow Lowry Longelo Palmer Houlden
