Even with investment we're not going to compete on wages with any big team that wants to step in and take a player or manager. That's OK, though. Our model is to offer players different opportunities. For some like Just, it's to get some quality playing time ahead of the World Cup. For other slike Watt, it's to get their career back on track after struggling for a season or two. And if you are a talented youngster like Miller, we can help get you a move to a top Italian league. I have no idea if Jens will be off or not, but either way I expect us to sell 2 or 3 of our high value players in the summer and continue down the same path for recruitment of fresh faces. And if we need a new manager, I expect the next one to be in the same mould as JBA.

I think that’s the problem. The majority of the Well Society don’t want outside investment. However, we have a crumbling stadium and need £20m+ investment for a new stadium. Or £10m if we stay put. Do we’ll sell our players this year to help finance it or try to invest in the squad? We should be looking for proper outside investment probably from across the pond. Or should be doing a Hearts and partnering with a data guy or another club? Thankfully not my call🤞

Once upon a time he came across well (no pun intended) and was good publicity for the club. Personal view is time has moved on but his act/approach hasn't.
-
Haven't listened to Tam or Off the Ball for many years. He's the Mrs. Brown's Boy's of radio. There are people that find him funny - and fair play to them - but not for me.
-
I've never found him bearable, funny, interesting, or worth listening to live or on the radio. My personal view but given the fact hes had a media career for a while now lots of people must rate him.
-
Off the ball has been unlistenable for years.

The bigger picture for us in footballing terms is that JBA, and Wimmer to a lesser extent, has reset the club. That process was set in motion by the current board. The only real concern for next season and beyond isn’t JBA leaving, which is inevitable at some point, but whether the board changes direction. I don’t think they will. They’ve been clear about the path they want the club on, and it feels like a structural shift rather than a short-term project. The key test will be whether they appoint the next right man when the time comes, and whether the footballing direction remains consistent. If it does, revenue should continue to rise and, with that, the calibre of player and results will follow.

That's why we need investment. He's got good players here and if we up our money he could do even better next season and get an even bigger club than Celtic. Look how Hearts have taken on old firm and could even win league. I know they are bigger club financially but teams like bodo glm have taken it to next level and are similar size. Other teams have done it with investment. We just got to do our best in marketing and show as much ambition as we can.
-
That’s unrealistic though. I am pretty sure Celtic could offer him over £1 million per year. Easy. I would imagine we would be about £300k - we can’t compete with that.
-
That's how we got to show ambition and back him. Try to take us to next level rather than constant rebuild every season. We will never get to next level unless we back him. We may need more investment but finances improving.
-
I watched the video the club put up about the event, there really is a good bond with these players, you can see it clearly. Even the players on the edge of the first team who in past years would be disgruntled all look happy. We’re clearly doing something right in this department with regards recruitment and management. on another less positive note, am I the only one who finds tam Cowan unbearable. I struggle to even listen to off the ball now.
-
I think most of us have made peace with that fact. But I dont think I could handle him going to another club in Scotland. Particularly if its one of the ugly sisters. That would be hard to take. Im hopeful that he might stay another season and see out his contract. But if he doesnt, Id prefer he went down south or back to Europe.

If Jens goes then hopefully not to sellik. Rumours probably ususl unsettling. Since split fixtures announced sellik have..... 1) welcomed green brigade back 2) tried to ban rangers fans 3) linked with marc Leonard 4) linked with Jens Just usual unsettling tactics
-
Let’s not kid ourselves on here. There is a very high chance Jens will be away in the summer. I would imagine a lot of clubs across Europe will be keeping tabs on him. It’s the way it is. Anyone who does well at our club has a high chance of not being there for long.

How long until the Dunfermline manager is linked to the Celik job. Probly week before cup final . It happens every important game with bigot brothers opposition players and managers.

No harm to them. I love their enthusiasm for their country and its players. But they will disappear like "snaw aff a dyke" from our social media pages the minute JT moves on.
-
I'd expect to see an STV report with that quote rather than a Hail Hail tweet.
-
Remember it well. Here's hoping.

Zimbabwe supporters club will disagree. They were even amazed TJ wasnt an April player of month nomination

4 yesrs ago, Wednesday night 11th May 2022 we were playing Hearts at Fir Park, needing a win to secure European football, and we won 2-1 with goals from Joe Efford and Ricky Lammie. So heres hoping history repeats itself on Saturday night.

Spot on and funnily enough one of the hearts players are being linked with celtic today as well.
-
you'd think we were due to play Celtic soon ........................................
-
Loads of their fans at work have been saying he’s going there for the last few weeks. Hard to see half that Celtic team being willing to play Jens style of football and with DD in charge of the club I find it hard to believe he’d get the same freedom to run things as he gets here. In short I don’t think it’s a good move for him.
