  1. Past hour
  2. The only thing I would say about physicality is the players we lostvlast season were hardly renowned for their physical presence so it's not as if things have changed much
  3. Not unpopular at all. I agree wholeheartedly! 🧡❤️🧡
  4. Im pretty happy with where we are right now. But I agree our season wont start properly until we get back to one game a week and the manager has the opportunity to get his ideas across to the players on the training pitch on a daily basis. I think thats why it went from so good to so bad, so quickly today. We were brilliant, right up to the point we lost our shape and structure, and then we werent. Its very fine lines right now, with timing of runs and passes so important to whether we attack from a position of security, or leave ourselves wide open to counter attack. Its something that Jens took a little while to get on top of last season, but when we did, it was impressive. I agree about the lack of physicality in the team though. Not sure what we can do about it at this stage, although I think Olly Whyte has a bit of dig about him. Do we trust throwing him in though and who do we leave out?
  5. Would be good to get 3 points here as its a home game against a beatable opponent. However, its just another game in the series of games with no real break or preparation in between, asking yet more of our players who have been full on for over a month now. Dundee United have been a bit of an enigma in their performances and results so far, but the nature of their win on Saturday must give them confidence, despite being without their manager at the moment. Id guess we will see more rotation within the squad and it will depend exactly how that plays out what success we can expect. I will settle for us putting in another good performance and standing by our principles. Hopefully we can get our structure correct and minimise the goals against to give us the opporrunity to win it. A point would be acceptable. 3 points great.
  6. Good post and I agree with you. Paulsen is a great shot stopper but too small and poor in the air. Thats why he has no future at Bournemouth. We could cope with that if we had three 6-4 defenders but we don't. A weakness in our recruitment strategy? I agree about another defensive midfielder - someone with a bit of physicality please. As for SOD - a big season for him. Is he past it? Add to that, Sparrow is not a right back.
  7. I'd happily settle for a draw in this one.
  8. I definitely think he's an upgrade though that won't surprise many regular readers on this forum
  9. Several people have said to me without fear of argument "Well, the keeper is an upgrade on Ward". I'm not so sure...
  10. As mentioned before, delighted to see Thor come on and get some minutes, I thought he looked sharp and mobile and I hope he can now stay fit. I thought he had something about him last year and he does give us something different. if we do lose JT (as much as he’s been very average of late) we do need another striker in. Thor and the palmer lad look fine but Kanga isn’t an out and out striker and AP is clearly offski and Hendry is a chocolate fireguard. And the Less said about Willy the better.
  11. I think Priestman was showing real signs that he could fill that gap prior to his injury. I agree they're all excellent players. Interesting to see when they're all fit, how we set up. Don't think any of them could play the role Lowry is playing so you figure one of the three drops out...
  12. Today
  13. Thanks for the update… I think Fadinger, Hodge and Priestman are all excellent players. None of them are as good defensively as Watt was.
  14. Probably unpopular view but that Strip today is streets ahead of the home strip.
  15. Think I’m possibly the only person on here unconvinced with the keeper 2nd half though he did make some brilliant saves ( hard to see from other end of the stadium but looked decent ) to keep us in it some goal from the new boy but before that unconvincing from the build up people were giving him on here from YouTube ( goal was top level though & it’s a difficult 1 to come into some time will tell ) mentioned earlier about a right back, got the feeling personally it’s a year too far for O’Donnell, their left winger was decent though also mentioned another centre mid to take some of the load of fadinger, looked really tired today Good point in the end
  16. A great interview and a good insight into how JBA built up the players confidence. Also how Elliot and his family loved being part of the 'Well family.
  17. Words feckin fail me
  18. aye only 23 and he put the ball ten feet wide when through on the keeper. I watched him closely in the warm up when they were all taking shots and the amount of times he didn't even get it on target was shocking..
  19. Yep, not yet replaced Watts defensive contribution.
  20. If Swansea are about to offer ÂŁ3million as being suggested on the rumour mill bite their hand off.
  21. Seen some idiots went on to pitch after equaliser
  22. Despite my poor internet connection, Lowry looked class and if TJ wasn’t such a selfish wee git he would have had a goal.
  23. Those last 2 posts sum up that travesty pretty perfectly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
