He has got previous for making a right mess of important moments in three matches now out of 7 played and we are no even 20% into the season yet. Ward needs to up his game and cut out the howlers pronto , or it could be a season of what ifs.

You and I are looking at this from opposite angles, you see a pass to the opposition striker, I see a horrendous attempted pass (albeit under pressure - see picture above ) to a Motherwell player, the type of pass we see every week numerous times between outfield players be it by ourselves or on tv by another team which is groaned at but then forgotten unless it leads to a goal. By your criteria every player should be dropped after a misplaced pass or two. As I’ve said earlier McGregor made a mess of a shot and got a penalty while Ward messed up a pass and they got a goal. These things happen and are not a reason to crucify anyone. I’m sure Ward is more pissed off about it than anyone here and I’m also sure that his teammates, although gutted, stand by him 100%. My only gripe about the incident is that Ward jumped and cursed himself for a couple of seconds before reacting instead of getting himself into a better position to face the shot. THAT is where he should be looking to improve in future. Misplaced passes will happen to players it’s how they react that matters. You also see that mistake as what gave Celtic the win, it wasn’t, they still needed another goal for that. Someone stated a statistic for the pass of 5% chance of success against 95% chance of failure, I’d love to see the data that backs that up because I’m sure every manager and his data analysts who sets up to play the way we do would bin that style of play if that’s not a pulled out of the arse statistic.

It's a pain in the arse and will ensure many who would have gone won't. The process despite being a pain in the arse is quite straightforward. 1. Everyone who wants a ticket downloads the Hampden app. 2. Season ticket holders can get as many tickets as they like. 3. Season ticket holders purchase tickets from Motherwells ticketing platform. 4. Every ticket ordered must have an email address associated with the Hampden app. If you order 5 tickets for family / friends they must all give you the email address that they set up the Hampden app with. 5. When tickets are purchased all tickets will need to be sent from the Hampden app of the purchaser to the email of everyone who has downloaded the Hampden app, the ticket will appear in each individuals Hampden app on the week of the game. 6. Entry to Hampden will only be possible using the Hampden App ticket QR code that will go live on the morning of the game. Disenfranchising our older supporters who are not mobile app savy. Shocking way to treat potential paying customers.

They don’t normally need luck against us and I never said they always have, those are your words not mine but yesterday they definitely got the breaks. Sometimes watching a game and a team gets a break I think they deserved that due to the way the team was playing but yesterday I didn’t.

St Mirren selling tix tomorrow to all their fans season and non-season ticket holders alike.
-
Have they not digitised the autograph books yet .🤣

I downloaded the Hampden Ticket App last week so a mate could send me tickets for the next two Scotland home games. He bought the tickets and then was able to send them to me via his App. Appears to have worked ok as both tickets now show when I open my App. All he needed was the E-Mail I used when setting up the App after download. He said it was easy enough but it is yet another complication fans could do without. It would help if MFC could explain to folk how a Group can make sure they get tickets together and if each person needs their digital ticket on their phone. And can confirm that tickets can be transferred to others in the group once purchased.

Nope.....3 matches. Falkirk, Livi, Dun Utd (midweek)
-
It was more 2 let folk know about the ticketing arrangements
-
Hopefully it will be all right on the night...... looks a bit of a headache never mind for senior or non technology friendly 'well fans
-
Are we not 2 more match threads away from this?

You can make any point by freezing a moment out of context. But I don’t think this proves anything beyond the fact that a 10-yard pass to Watt wasn’t an option. There’s playing the passing game, there’s giving hospital passes in your own six-yard box, and then there’s just making an arse of it.

I don't think anyone is hounding him out, I am certainly not but it's not the first big error he has made for us and it's very frustrating as I am loving this team and manager and the belief they have, we had no fear yesterday. However we should be higher up the table. I also acknowledge this sounds hypocritical as I have been on here non stop backing Stama when he wasn't scoring, 3 in 2 hopefully a Good sign. No reason Ward cant turn things round but one more big error and ox deserves a chance, if he doesn't perform then sell him as still 18 months left on contract. COYW

I think that's a fair point. Think a lot of comments had been fuelled by emotion at way we lost without looking at bigger picture and greater understanding. I include myself in that too and will try to be more rational and positive. The other forum p and b is more balanced but I prefer it here.

I’m pretty sure JBA will not drop him and that we will see him versus Falkirk.
-
But surely you would accept that our style of play means any gk who plays for us will potentially make the same error. I accept it’s a bad mistake but I am not sure what is achieved by hounding him out. like I said earlier he on numerous occasions broke their press with his passes to open up the play.
-
I got my feelings out yesterday and I am sure Ward feels bad about his error. I think a lot of the frustration also comes down to fact it was Celtic we were playing. Any win over old firm is massive so just felt like a great chance missed. Yes chances are sellik might still have equalised but 2nd goal gave them confidence. Anyway we move on to Falkirk game in a fortnight and hopefully can bounce back. COYW

At half time I was almost gonna type here to the effect that Ward is so integral to our new playing style as he is (normally) good with ball at feet and distribution is good. He's like a sweeper at times. So granted yesterday was a colossal error, but don't forget all the good moves he starts many of which result in goals.
-
We don't really have to say its acceptable for the keeper passing the ball straight to an opposition player in our own box, for him to score and take all three points. It's basic stuff in his job description , probably rule no2 on what not to do in the goalkeeping manual. He's running out of chances.

I can’t believe how much better we are in such a short period of time and I think we will get better the more we play. The possession stat for the Celtic game was roughly 60/40 which is probably the best at parkhead in a long time. I firmly believe it would have been even better if we had a full squad available. I’m hoping we can get past St Mirren and get to the final with a full squad to see what we can do.
-
This was never going to be instant success though. The manager keeps going on about the learning process here. Mistakes will be made. We just have to accept this. I feel a lot on here are being way too critical of the team, you need to look at the bigger picture.

For anyone questioning what "get the ball in front of AP" means, his fist goal is a perfect example of that.
