Different positions but he's taking two right backs (Ralston and Patterson) that have barely played all season.... In Miller's position, you couldn't really justify picking him ahead of Gilmour, Christie, McGinn, McTominay or Ferguson. And Kenny McLean was always going. You imagine a new manager post World Cup will see a freshening up. Whether that helps Miller or not, time will tell...
-
All true. Disappointing, but 100% expected from Clarke.
-
Nice touch, releasing the squad list on the back of a Scotdisc album.

Just a re run of the Euros squad. Clarke is taking his mates on a big holiday before leaving. Hanlon and Souttar ffs. Both injured recently, came back but can hardly run. Ask Hibs and Rangers fans about those two since January. Miller is too talented a player for Clarke. Passes the ball forward far too much.

That was always on the cards when Clarke called him up and then gave him zero minutes during the last set of friendlies.
-
Lennon Miller misses out on the Scotland World Cup squad.

Agree with most of that. The issue is the incompetence of the officials added to cheap technology and SFA denials. But all Clubs suffer, including the two they appear to pander to most. Other than us being hard done to, Newell hand ball goal Hibs v Celtic, Falkirk penalty v Rangers where Barron adjudged to have handled, Rangers denied late penalty in League Cup final v Celtic for holding, Falkirk last man red v Utd, even Hearts Maswanhise penalty if we care to be honest. All as clear examples of errors that affected outcomes and titles. We can get hung up on Rangers and Celtic all we like but the truth is that all clubs suffer. Only if they unite will things improve. They won’t because that’s the way it is up here. Also sickening is the changing narrative re final day happenings at Celtic Park. From media, SFA and Celtic/O’Neill. By tomorrow it will all have been down to Hearts, Celtic fans were just understandably exuberant and the Hearts players got bloodied by Craig Levein coming on and punching them for losing. Oh, and we are now told the final whistle was blown despite MON stating in the Daily Mail that he was ushering fans off because the fourth official told him there was a minute left. A day later he changed his mind. Sky went from a full blown invasion to several Celtic fans entered the field of play. The only ones not to change their story are Hearts, Michael Stewart who has his own axe to grind and non partisan ex players Europe wide. Hearts will likely be fined for leaving early although they did so under Police advice. As you say, Scotland is shamed and sadly most of all by those running the game. . Because we are focused on our team and there are so many errors we feel excessively cheated.

Watching it back on Sky the commentator says there was difficulty with the communication and you see Beaton fiddling with his earphone. Even more reason to stick with the onfield decision.
-
Yup totally agree, no responsibility or accountability for blatantly wrong decisions especially the shambles the other wednesday at Fir Park which effectively cost Hearts the title. The referees do what they like and the fuds at the SFA back them all the way, openly pandering to two clubs at the expense of the other 40. And if thats not bad enough, we have a biased media, local autorities and police Scotland taking little or no action as has been said before, its Scotlands shame.
-
Yep, a GIRUY to all of us who care about Scottish football. It will never happen but the clubs should unite to force a complete overhaul of the refereeing system in our country. Its cosy and incompetent, self-serving cabal needs to be removed. I can't remember Jens's exact words in a recent interview but it was along the lines of "Why bother playing football at all when there are decisions like these?" Our game is rigged for everyone to see now.

I could watch that over and over again! What a manager! What a team! 🧡❤️🧡

It's mind blowing after the week they have had that McLean gets to referee the Scottish Cup Final and Dallas and Beaton each get to do VAR in one of the Playoff Final matches. Willie going all out in his support.

There was a high?

The VAR Review show is expected to be Fri 22nd. In previous shows Collum has suggested: >That a hand in front of face may not be punishable >That stills are unhelpful because they lack context >Onfield decision cannot be overturned unless it can be 100% proven otherwise. They have fudged the decision, but will try an justify it, no doubt with contradictory statements to previous explanations.

Been the odd high.......loads of lows.....and a huge improvement needed. But enough about my comedy material.........🤪 Can honestly see us losing 4 or 5 that are currently under contract but the positive would be they go more good money as no way will club let them.go on the cheap. It puts us on sound financial footing and chance to invest on more gems in transfer window. However.....if JBA stays and wants to take us to next level then I can see players staying but I would look to cash Maswanhise in and hold fire on just till after World cup. Would love him to stay but we could really get serious money for him. COYW

I heard the same.

I'm expecting another massive turnover to be honest. I expect a mimimum of 8 (Before replacing outgoings) - 2 x CB (1 if Gordon is offered a contract) - LB - CM (Maybe not needed if Whyte is offered a contract0 - AMF - LW - ST - RW - Then replacements for any players sold out of Just, Maswanhise, Watt, Fadinger, Ward, Longelo, Hendry, Stamatepolous (1 Striker to replace last 2 is fine)
-
He'll be fine providing he doesn't go down holding his face
-
Has VAR checked it’s ok for him to leave?
-
If we're still paying him, he's still ours! Otherwise, agreed.
-
Is it time to add Slatts to this thread?

Probably once they’ve made extra winners’ medals for them, then concocted some ridiculous justification for yet another “honest mistake.”
