  1. Past hour
  2. I'm definitely not getting carried away . For all the great football this season we do have just the 1 league win Much to be pleased about still , unbeaten in 12 games . 14 if you include Wimmer's last 2 games . Our best unbeaten run for 73 years I seen during the week We have a poor record against Celticin the last few years , and despite the fact we could most likely lose we do have a good chance of picking up something I believe Most positive things have been for a number of years , 6k Well fans at the last 3 home games is also good
  3. Loved interview with Brenda after Braga outplayed them. The seethe about that disallowed goal. They are used to getting every decision in Scotland goin there way and cheated us a few times in the past with diving and getting fouls or pens.
  4. Today
  5. Im not sure the first win at Ibrox came out of the blue. We had been there earlier in the season and, although we lost 1-0, we had actually played a lot better in that one than the one that we won. Slattery, Miller, Paton and Spittal were fantastic that day. Unfortunately Slattery got injured just after that and we never had the chance to play those 4 together again. I get that you dont want to get your hopes up for tomorrow and thats a perfectly reasonable position to have. But you could do with being less definitive in your posts. You are probably correct in that, we statistically ARE unlikely to win tomorrow. But to say we definitely will not and have no chance, just doesnt bare any examination.
  6. The first of the two wins over Rangers came completely out of the blue, nobody expected us to win that one. Celtic go into this in poor form and by the sounds of it quite a few of our fans actually think we are going to go there and beat them. That scenario never ends well. We are playing some good football this season and I’m enjoying it, that won’t change when, not if, we lose against Celtic tomorrow but we need to be much sharper in the final third if we are to make our good play properly count going forward. I’m not going down the nonsensical route of trying to kid myself and others that “games against the OF don’t matter” because of course they do. I just don’t believe that this team is capable of going to Celtic Park tomorrow and getting anything.
  7. Don't you come round here brandishing facts. That's not what we do round here..
  8. We have literally beaten Rangers twice at Ibrox in the last 2 seasons with teams that were much poorer than this one, having failed to do so in the previous 27 years. We havent beaten Celtic at Parkhead for a while, but we have had a couple of creditible draws. Again with much poorer teams than this. Nobody is getting carried away here. No one is saying we are going to pump Celtic, we may well lose. But if you cant allow yourself to have just a little hope right now, Im not sure when you can. Isnt that what following a shite wee diddy club is all about? PS you do know we have scored more goals than Celtic this season, despite not having a striker like Higdon or KVV?
  9. Im delighted to be in October and not lost a competitive game whilst playing attractive football. win/lose/draw tomorrow I'm hopeful that we give a good account of ourselves . Getting something from the game would be an excellent outcome.
  10. Heard it all before I’m afraid. ”There for the taking” ”We’ll never have a better chance” ”They’re playing shite we’re playing well” And I’ve yet to see us ‘take’ either one of the Old Firm when they’ve supposedly been there for it. Maybe if we had a goalscorer as I said like a Higdon, KvV or Moult to take the chance that you need to take when it comes we’d be in with a shout, but we simply don’t have that in our side. And at the back we are weak, even weaker without Welsh and were very lucky not to have been a couple of goals down against Aberdeen at half time last week. We would not have got away with that against Celtic, regardless of how poor they are by their standards. Too many of our fans are getting carried away with themselves.
  11. I’m going with ……….. Celtic 2 Motherwell 3
  12. Yesterday
  13. Sounded like it may be more than McGinn back too, depending on late fitness assessments. If McGinn isn't ready to start, I'd be more inclined to have Johnny K, SOD, Longelo and Gordon as the back 4 rather than put in Balmer - but I'm sure JBA has already figured out what he wants,
  14. It is. But we have McGinn back, so that should soften the blow a little. Id be more concerned with Balmer partnering Gordon.
  15. Not having Welsh available is a blow Thought he was excellent last weekend
  16. We will miss having Welsh at the back so it will be tough for us on Sunday. Even with Celtic below par this will most likely be our hardest test of the season so far. Even if Just is available again, he’s just recovering from injury amd probably a bit rusty. Slattery still out, so we are down by 30% on starting outfield players. Having said that, the team is still capable of putting up a good show but will it be good enough to take 1 or 3 points ? If there are no silly mistakes in defense and if we pick this week to improve on converting our chances we might just come away with a point or three! COYW!!!!
  17. This is not a social request. You've made spurious allegations and we'd like to follow up with you.
  18. Malpas's time in charge could be described as being No.2!! Ba boom
  19. And sometimes they happen for a reason. See also Wimmer having to return to his family! 🧡❤️🧡
  20. I sometimes lose hope there's good I the world then reading someone has paid to meet Kettlewell and wound up meeting JBA it reminds you......good things do happen
  21. We’ll not be losing this game, that Celtic side is becoming poorer by the week, they have a manager working his ticket out of there, they have a reliance on players who are getting too old and a fan base who are becoming even more toxic than the other lot in the other side of the city. If we can play as we can and how we did v hearts we will do fine.
  22. Lausanne need to get Davor on loan to carry Theo's bags and make him smile in training! The big man has never been the same since the bromance was broken up! Auxerre take note!
  23. Celtic fans are currently hounding their board anyway due to the perceived lack of investment over the summer and their Champions League exit. The last 2 games wont have helped their mood, but its not going to have any influence on where their support is at in general. And where the support is at will have a much bigger influence on the teams performance than 2 bad results. Lets not try and pretend this Celtic team is anywhere near peak Rodgers. If we play to our best we have a very good chance in this game. Lets concentrate on that and ignore Celtic for once.
  24. I definitely thought that whilst watching. He was hand picked by the club so isnt Jens man. Wouldnt be a huge surprise, albeit, Im always a bit warey of a no.2 being promoted to manager. I think its called Malpas Syndrome! Shame Max looks a bit like Malpas as well. Thats not gonna help my phobia!
  25. He's our assistant manager who, in the Meet the Manager session, said he also wants to play the same style of football and has ambitions to be a manager.
