  1. Past hour
  2. The game is being shown live in the USA CBS Sports network which I get via Fubo. saves me having to cast it onto the Tv
  3. Steve Seddon starting for AFC Wimbledon tonight at Luton. Had completely forgotten he had signed for them until I heard him interviewed and thought that's the Motherwell TV co-commentator!
  4. I believe the bring a mate for a fiver is something that happens once a season if you have a season ticket. The club tend to use it later in the season - last few seasons it's been when we've needed support to get the team to safety but don't see any reason why it couldn't be used at a Celtic or Rangers game. I personally think they should do that more often -the club won't lose money out of an initiative like that
  5. Today
  6. Someone mentioned further up that instead of incentivising 'smaller' games with the bring a mate for a 5er type idea...could we not do that to circumvent the rules of having to charge the same price to home and away fans?
  7. Has Miller been training with us this week? Not really expecting him to play but we can only sit him out for so long if this drags on week after week, so I’d be tempted to start using him till something concrete happens.
  8. And Hibs got slated by some in our media for holding out for a decent price and laughing off a low Celtic offer. Pretty confident Miller will do the right thing for himself so good luck to him. But at the end of the day it is the fee and add-ons that matter most to MFC. As an aside, I was at ER last night and was very impressed by Midtyjlland. Play a similar style to how we are being asked to play.....with the odd long ball to wide players thrown in. Full backs certainly asked to cover a lot of ground. Lots of possession in midfield and defence. Their players looked comfortable on the ball with no signs of panic when pressed as playing out. Very patient. At times moved the ball very quickly. Guessing that is the way teams play in Denmark. Maybe JBA will unearth some oven ready CBs from his homeland.. Only failing was the lack of goals their domination on the ball produced. But they did score six in their previous League game so maybe Hibs got lucky. Just short of 20k turned up....of which 1000 away fans. If we can find or develop players to play that style then I'm on board. Spoke to a couple of their fans who said it took a good while for them to adapt to that style of play and they had a few horror shows on the way. Hibs actually did well without looking like winning. Certainly far better than they were at the start of last season. Strong midfield and in central defence. Cadden was Cadden. Good pushing forward, not so good defensively. early days but I was impressed by them. Cue Dundee win this weekend.
  9. Celtic will probably offer multipack of space invaders, wotsits and some haribos. They offered that for mcgin prior to villa getting him. Press are desperate for ugly sisters to get him.
  10. Next thing you'll be saying we should split the prize money and TV revenue equally! That might lead to stronger competition. Madness!!
  11. He went to the Dutch second tier when we sold him and didn't exactly set it on fire. We did well to get an incredible season from him, but other than that, on average, he's a 7 or 8 goal striker if you look at his track record (at least in the English and Scottish leagues).
  12. I'd read somewhere that Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt were apparently interested. The profit that Dortmund seem to make on young British players, that would be an ideal destination from sell on percentage point of view and not a bad move for Miller...
  13. Well maybe he will score since it’s the Dutch second tier. I’d. Say his career is already well into its twilight years.
  14. Each to their own. I dont like the Cooper as I dont think you get a great view of the away goal (and the slope used to annoy me). The bottom line is that the whole thing starts with the big 2 and their gate prices. If that doesnt happen, we dont raise ours for Cat A games and everyone is happy. Of course we could go back to sharing gate money for all fixtures we are involved in like the olden days before the financial gulf made it impossible for a provincial club to compete. But thats a hold different debate and I wont be holding my breath!
  15. Way to condescend your fellow fan just because they have a different view to you Go you!!!!
  16. Maybe we should go back to giving them extra stands and charge everyone £26, would stop a couple of folk complaining about £36 three games a season and I’m sure we’d make more cash
  17. I hope it's been successful for you. That's more than doing your bit. With regards to the season ticket issue I agree that it's the best way re affordability but sometimes work gets in the way for folk. I shared one with a family member a couple of seasons ago because they had to work one in every three Saturdays and they didn't think it was worth buying one for themselves. I was happy enough getting to some games over the season and it worked out ok - because at that point I would have struggled to afford one for myself.
  18. I don't like the Hunter stand as imho it isn't as good a view
  19. If only it were that easy with regards getting to games. On the "invest in the club" comment, I talked my wife into investing £7.5k into advertising her business at the ground (3 years now) so we do our bit.
  20. They both charge us the maximum permitted.
  21. My preference for Lennon would be 1. Como 2. Bologna 3. Torino 4. Udinese Given that those are the 4 that are allegedly in for him, Im pretty comfortable that he will get a good move and we will get a decent price. I think Como is the best fit as he would be going to an upcoming team and under the stewardship of Fabregas, he would be learning from one of the best. Also, the views! Whats not to like? Bologna would also seem to be a good fit and they have certainly been good for Ferguson. They have European football to look forward to, so I would guess even if he wasnt a first pick there, he will get enough games thru squad rotation. Also the possibility a bigger club comes in for Ferguson creating space. Torino, not sure how they play but clearly a decent standard to finish mid table and having Adams on board, should help the settling in process. Udinese, Im not so keen on. Moreso due to their links with Watford and how mental they look with consrant churnover of managers and players. It might turn out ok, but Id be concerned he would be loaned out and might disappear. Every chance he may not go to any of the above, but wherever he ends up, I just hope it happens soon and we can all move on.
  22. Sorry, I misread your post. I actually don't know what we get charged to be at Ibrox - I don't go, assume it's 35 quid.
  23. I know what they were discussing. But why does anyone really care? Most of our fans are season ticket holdlers and those that arent can easily be accomodated in the Hunter where the prices are cheaper (and imho the view is better). The big 2 have been overcharging our fans for years to sit in shite seats in the worst areas of their stadia. I get that 2 wrongs dont make a right, but Id be really annoyed if they got a better deal at Fir Park than we do over there. Given its the big 2 that pretty much set the prices, then Im more than happy with the clubs position on this. Especially as we dont roll over rand give them tickets elsewhere in the stadium anymore.
  24. I don't think people were discussing space. They were discussing the price of category A games.
  25. Pretty obvious he wants to go abroad then 🙄
  26. Re the pricing debate. Most of our fans are season ticket holders. Attendances show that. Any walk ups will find space in the Hunter no problem. Thats what I did, when I didnt have a season ticket. I never had an issue getting in. Given the financial argument, Im surprised we are even discussing this.
  27. I think that Udinese, Torino, Como and whoever else can probably outbid Partick Thistle and St Johnstone.
