Stenhousemuir v Motherwell 19/07/2025 🏆
joewarkfanclub replied to SteelmaninOZ's topic in Club Chat
Heading up for this one to tick another ground off the list. Hoping for a little light rain to make the pitch a little slicker and more agreeable! I expect it to be another tough game but us to have learned and improved a little off the back of the past week. 2-0 to us. A goal in each half with Sule and Stama both getting off the mark. - Today
-
We should be looking to win this game by at least 3-5 goals.
-
Stenny only had three subs last night -2 trialists and a goalie. They may have some more signings for Saturday but it must be a game for our strikers to get their accounts up and running.
-
Defo a player there, seen that at Easter road last season.....his highlight real from Aus showed loads of headed goals, JBA also acknowledged he needs service, the fact we are signing wingers says to me we will play in a way that will suit AP sooner rather than later and he will score a good few I reckon
-
According to your predictions you have said we would have 1/2 points (depending on penalties v peterhead) after 3 games. Let's see how well your doing after Saturday.
-
Tough crowd 🤣🤣

After the away game when the attention seeking lads were out in force and pushing the look at us,fuxx the team we're the main attraction, letting of a flare, fighting stewards and amongst ourselves, punching a ball about with no interest in game wasn't surprised when I heard they booed the team and embarrassing shouts of get it up the fuxxing park makes me think sk should have stayed We have players that still have to settle not just in a new club but new country, new digs, teammates, etc, etc, new management, new tactical approach, getting up to speed, fitness and we have wankers spouting out, early doors but from what I've seen we have a manger that's conducted himself very well with media and imo knows his football, little bits I've seen fill me with optimism, more ball players, more attacking systems, wing play,we all know the big weakness is defence,he'll know that, let's get behind him, personally I think we've found a gem in Jen,time will tell.
-
Any complaints about SK's signings and training regime can be sent care-of Billie Bowie to Rugby Park.
-
If it had been the same manager I could see the point but askou just in and to be honest this is the only injury we have had, well ox also. Mcghee played a lot near the end of season so I think this has just been unlucky
-
Absolute joke that we have yet another player out with yet another injury which will keep him out for over a month. And before anybody tries the “but, but, b b b b b b b b b but, but….any player can get injured” excuse, I accept that. What I can’t accept and can’t understand is why we consistently have players picking up injuries which rule them out for lengthy periods like this. I’ve said this before but the words “speedy recovery” have got to be the most used on our social media platforms over the last two years. It’s beyond ridiculous now. You have to conclude that this is down to us signing players whom we know are crocked before we sign them (the most likely scenario, imo) or we are doing something wrong in training or relating to fitness, preparation, nutrition and so on. No harm whatsoever to Jordan McGhee or indeed any of the many players we have had that have suffered injuries that have kept them out for long periods over the last two years and indeed I do wish him a “speedy recovery” but this has happened to too many players and for too many lengthy layoffs for it to be simply put down to bad luck or “any player can get injured”.
-
I misread - thought he had picked it up during a game but it was before the Clyde game
-
What plastic pitch?
-
I had a grade two calf tear - freak injury at a boot camp - was around a three month recovery. Hopefully it won't re occur - mine didn't - just smashed other bones to make up for it Sorry to hear that - a grade two was horrible - can't imagine what a three must have been like
-
Cause those thighs injuries are so bad the heal from and so easy to go again. I had a grade 2 strain on my thigh while I was running which I suspect this is 10 weeks later I was healed ready to do light running again which I did for a month then I was able to do 10ks again. Low and behold two 10ks later it tore again same place and was now a grade 3!8 months it took to heal and I didn't run for 12 months. With him being a footballer more chance of him getting a knock on it again if he is back for October then he has healed very well. I ment forget about him as in general I ment as in the present and it's a surprise when he returns lol.
-
It's said its going to be a 6-8 week recovery. Why should we write him off?
-
Just forget about him the now seems like he is going to be in and out the side all season with this kinda injury more so out.
-
To be fair don't think the plastic pitch will have helped.
-
Said prior to his signing that he did have a nap of being injured for a while every season. Typical Kettlewell signing.
-
Mcghee out for 6-8 weeks Thats disappointing
-
Is it though?
-
Don't knock it, it was our game plan for the bulk of the last 5 years. Give it another month or so (being generous) and there will already be idiots shouting for it to return.
-
In the early stages of the game last night I was expecting more of a high press but we didn't seem to do that. Sule was left isolated with little support. I looked the look of Just, but he was sitting too deep to really hurt their defence. Watt and Slattery also sat deep. once Peterhead scored, of course, the game changed and they were happy to sit back with 11 men behind the ball and waste every second they could with the tacit approval of the ref.
-
You got wee part correct, the joker part is up for debate 🤣🤣
-
I see this on their website too, which reads like an old joke, but also useful advice.

Thanks for this. Appreciated.
